Fase de Combate: From the Shadows

Peroth’arn attacks his current target with his Corrupting Touch, causing stacking Corruption. He periodically casts Fel Flames and Fel Decay on random enemies.

Toque corruptor: Peroth’arn’s melee strikes apply Corruption his current target, increasing damage taken by 10% for 15 s. This effect stacks.

Fel Flames: Peroth’arn calls down a fel fireball on a random player, inflicting 20000 Fire damage and leaving behind fire that causes 6500 Fire damage every second for 30 s.

Fel Decay: Peroth’arn’s sickly touch causes a random target to decay from within, instantly inflicting 25000 Shadow damage and 6500 Shadow damage every second for 10 s. Any healing done to the afflicted player causes the healer to suffer 50% of the amount healed as Shadow damage. (Alerta para sanadores)

Fase de transición: Behold my Magic!

At 70% remaining health, Peroth’arn calls upon fel energy and heroes are stunned and drained of their essence, with their deaths fast approaching.

Drain Essence : At 70% remaining health, Peroth’arn stuns all enemies and inflicts Shadow damage every second for 4 s. (Mortal)

Los ojos de Peroth’arn

After Illidan interrupts Drain Essence, Peroth’arn returns to the shadows to ambush the heroes. Peroth’arn unleashes his Eyes of Peroth’arn to search for the players. Players gain the protection of their Shadowcloaks to help them avoid the detection range of the Eyes.

If players avoid detection for 40 seconds, Peroth’arn becomes visible and weakened with the Enfeebled effect.

If an Eye of Peroth’arn discovers a player, Peroth’arn marks the player with Easy Prey, leaps out of the shadows, and attacks the discovered player.

A player is spotted by an Eye of Peroth’arn. Waiting for this opportunity, Peroth’arn leaps from the shadows, focused only on slaughtering his clumsy prey.

Easy Prey: When an Eye of Peroth’arn discovers a player, Peroth’arn casts Fel Quickening and marks his new target as Easy Prey. The mark removes the player’s Shadowcloak or stealth and stuns them for 8 s.

Fel Quickening: Peroth’arn increases his attack speed by 100% for 15 s.

Enfeebled: If after 40 seconds Peroth’arn has not detected a player with his Eyes, Peroth’arn can no longer remain hidden in the shadows and becomes Enfeebled. This effect stuns Peroth’arn and increases his damage taken by 25% damage for 15 s.

Fase final

Endless Frezy: At 20% remaining health, Peroth’arn frenzies and increases his damage by 25%.

{tab=Reina Azshara}

Reina Azshara

Queen Aszhara commands two of her Enchanted Magi to attack the players. When the players defeat an Enchanted Magus or enough time elapses, another two Magi enter combat. Each Enchanted Magi possess one of three schools of magic. When the players defeat all of the Enchanted Magi, Queen Azshara retreats from combat and the players complete the encounter.

Mago Arcano

Danza de divinidad: The Enchanted Magus inflicts 10000 Arcane damage every 1 sec. to all enemies within 45 yards.

Martillo del juicio: The Enchanted Magus summons an arcane bomb that inflicts 75000 Arcane damage and reduces the movement speed of players within 4 yards of its impact by 50%.

{tab=Mannoroth y Varothen}

Mannoroth y Varo’then

Stage One: Dealing with the Rabble

Players must defeat Captain Varo’then while Illidian and Tyrande fight off Mannoroth and the demonic forces entering from the Well of Eternity.

Mannoroth

Mannaroth faces off in mortal combat against Illidan Stormrage.

Fel Firestorm: Mannoroth unleashes a Fel Firestorm, rapidly creating 3 yard radius Fel Flames around the area for 15 s. Fel Flames inflict 30000 Fire damage every second to any player standing within them.

Felblade: Mannoroth coats his mighty polearm in demonic fire, gaining a chance to deal 60000 additional Fire damage when striking opponents in melee.

Fel Drain: If the players inflict a significant amount of damage to Mannoroth while Captain Varo’then lives, Mannoroth sacrifices Captain Varo’then and heals himself to full health.

Doomguard Devastator

These massive demons from the Well of Eternity seek to protect Mannoroth, but Tyrande stands in their way.

Dreadlord Debilitato

These Dread Lords periodically enter from the Well of Eternity, then attempt to debilitate Tyrande.

Debilitating Flay: The Debilitating Dreadlord disables Tyrande, preventing her from performing any actions and allowing Doomguards to swarm the area.

Captain Varo’then

Captain Varo’then attacks the players to prevent them from interfering with Mannoroth’s concentration.

Magistrike: Varo’then charges his sword with Arcane and Fire magics, dealing 30000 Fire damage to an enemy and arcing to another nearby foe. Affects up to 3 total targets.

Illidan Stormrage

Illidan occupies Mannoroth in melee combat so the players are free to defeat Captain Varo’then.

Darklance: Illidan conjures forth a spear of dark magical energy, piercing Mannoroth for 30000 Shadow damage.

Aura of Immolation: Illidan shrouds himself in magical flames, inflicting 20000 Fire damage to nearby enemies every 3 seconds.

Demon Rush: Illidan charges at Mannoroth, coursing with Fel energies and inflicting 100% weapon damage to him.

Demonic Sight: The Gift of Sargeras gives Illidan sight beyond sight, allowing him to dodge 90% of Mannoroth’s attacks.

Taunt: Illidan goads Mannoroth into focusing attacks on him.

Waters of Eternity: After Mannoroth creates a Fel Firestorm, Illidan splashes himself with the waters of the Well of Eternity. The water provides substantial magical powers and reduces the Fire damage taken by all nearby allies by 90%.

Tyrande Whisperwind

Tyrande positions herself to intercept the rush of Doomguard Devastators exiting from the Well of Eternity with Lunar Shot.

Lunar Shot: Tyrande holds off the demons exiting from the Well of Eternity with her Lunar Shot.

Blessing of Elune: When a Dreadlord Debilitator casts Debilitating Flay upon her, Tyrande beseeches Elune for her blessing. This blessing affects all nearby allies, enchanting their attacks and spells to inflict additional Arcane damage to lesser demons.

Stage Two: Flames and Darkness

After the players defeat Captain Varo’then, his enchanted Magistrike Blade lies on the ground. After a player throws and embeds the blade into Mannoroth, the demon begins to take massive damage from the stored magic within the blade.

Mannoroth

The wounded Mannoroth continues to fight, opening a Nether Portal to bring demonic allies into the fray.

Embedded Blade: Players may pick up Captain Varo’then’s magical elven blade and throw it towards Mannoroth. The blade embeds itself into Mannoroth’s demonic armor. The magical blade then causes strikes against Mannoroth to have a chance to create a Magistrike Arc inflicting 2000000 Fire damage to Mannoroth.

  • Fel Fire Nova: After a player embeds the Magistrike blade within Mannorth, the open wound emits a steady pulse of fel fire. Each pulse inflicts 30000 Fire damage to enemies.

Nether Portal: Mannoroth summons a portal to the Twisting Nether, allowing him to call forth demonic allies. As his remaining health dwindles, additional types of demons exit through the portal.

  • Felhound: At 75% remaining health, Mannoroth summons a weak felhound to aid him in combat from the Nether Portal.

  • Felguard: At 60% remaining health, Mannoroth also summons a Felguard from the Nether Portal to aid him in combat.

  • Doomguard Devastator: At 45% remaining health, additional Doomguard Devastators begin to pour from the Nether Portal.

  • Infernal: At 30% remaining health, Mannoroth calls down a hail of Infernals to aid him in combat.

Illidan Stormrage

Illidan continues to fight Mannoroth with his host of Demon Hunter abilities.

Tyrande Whisperwind

Tyrande runs out of arrows and beseeches Elune for help against the overwhelming number of demons.

Hand of Elune: Tyrande is granted the full powers of the High Priestess of Elune, inflicting 100000 Arcane damage to three neaby lesser demons every 3 seconds.

Stage Three: Your World will be Unmade!

After Tyrande collapses upon destroying the rain of Infernals, Illidan then infuses himself to finish off Mannoroth.

Mannoroth

Even heavily wounded Mannoroth continues to fight for his lord Sargeras.

Embedded Blade: The embedded magical blade causes strikes against Mannoroth to have a chance to create a Magistrike Arc, inflicting 2000000 Fire damage to Mannoroth.

  • Fel Fire Nova: After a player embeds the Magistrike blade within Mannorth, the open wound emits a steady pulse of fel fire. Each pulse inflicts 30000 Fire damage to enemies.

Illidan Stormrage

Illidan infuses himself with demonic energy to finish the fight.

Gift of Sargeras: Illidan infuses himself and all nearby allies with the fel energies of the demon lord Sargeras, healing for 20% of maximum health every 2 seconds and dealing 30000 Fire damage to nearby enemies every 2 seconds.

Tyrande Whisperwind

Tyrande unleashes a massive blast of Arcane energy to destroy any nearby lesser demons, then collapses.

Elune’s Wrath: Tyrande unleases a blast of Arcane energy to destroy any nearby lesser demons.

Malfurion Stormrage

Utilizing the powers of nature bestowed upon him by the demigod Cenarius, Malfurion Stormrage focuses the will of the living creatures of Azeroth upon the demonic portal hovering over the Well of Eternity. When Mannoroth reaches 5% remaining health, Malfurion casts a spell to cause the portal to violently implode and pull the demonic legions out of Azeroth.

Estrategia

{tab=Español}

¡Felicidades!

{tab=Inglés} This is a walkthrough to Well of Eternity, one of the new heroics going live with patch 4.3. Keep in mind that the footage in this video was taken just shortly after release of the instance, and certain details about the encounters as well as difficulty might still be adjusted in the future.

Well of Eternity is an NPC-led, dynamic instance delving into the history of the night elves. During this instance, every party member will be transformed into a Night Elf, and you meet up with Illidan and Malfurion Stormrage as well as Queen Azshara.

As you enter the instance, you’re faced with one large demon that must be defeated before you stumble upon Illidan. Upon talking to him, he’ll give your entire party a stealth buff and lead you through a courtyard full of demons. Just follow him and wait for a break in the demons before crossing the courtyard. Your objective here is to destroy three sets of crystals, each of them accompanied by a trash pack of demons.

Follow Illidan to get this task done, and once you destroy all three crystals, the first boss will spawn in the middle of the demon courtyard. Peroth’arn is a very simple, two-phase encounter – in the first phase you simply need to avoid the felfire circles he’ll spawn under random party members. Once he hits 60% health he’ll hit a transition phase in which he’ll deal AoE damage to every party member – but don’t panic, you have time to heal this back up.

Peroth’arn will go invisible after his transition and spawn a bunch of eyes. You’re supposed to use the pillars of the courtyard to hide behind so the eyes won’t see you, and after 40 seconds Perotha’rn will re-appear and be significantly weakened. However, don’t expect that to happen if you’re pugging this instance shortly after release. It’s more likely that someone will get seen by an eye and trigger Perotha’rn to instantly re-appear, stun the seen player and give himself a temporary attack speed buff.

Still, he doesn’t hit very hard so unless he receives a significant buff, this mechanic shouldn’t make or break your party. At 25% health, he’ll enter an enraged state but should quickly be burned down.

Ater his demise, Illidan will take a temporary leave. Head up the stairs and prepare to fight a few trash packs. The eyes in this area of the instance do a fairly significant chain fel-lightning type of ability, so make sure to stay spread out and focus them down quickly. The Highmistresses will make two copies of a random player that need to be killed. Once at the top of the stairway, you’ll find Queen Azshara surrounded by 6 magi.

Once you engage the encounter, two of the magi will become active and need to be killed. After a certain amount of time elapses or after one of them dies, two more will become active, so try to kill the active ones simultaneously. The magi come in all three mage specs and will use abilities depending on their school of magic. The only really important things to look out for are the Frost Magis’ Coldflame, which looks like blue fire on the ground and can’t be stood in, and the arcane magis’ arcane bomb. The animation for this one is really obvious, so don’t stand in that either.

There are a lot of AoE abilities going out, so try to stay spread out to lessen the likelihood of having more than one person get hit by the magis’ spells. A few times during the encounter, Azshara will start casting an 8-second spell called Total Obedience. Should she succeed, every party member will be mind controlled for 20 seconds, so make sure to interrupt it. There’ll be a gigantic emote going across your screen, so it’s pretty hard to miss.

When all 6 magi are defeated, the encounter is won and there’ll be a fairly lengthy RP scene leading you into the center of the Well of Eternity, where you’ll be re-united with Illidan, Malfurion and Tyrande. A short gauntlet of trash will follow – for the first pack, stand in Tyrande’s moonwell and for the big demon take advantage of Illidan’s buff by standing near him. After a pack of bats that you need to use AoE spells on, you’ll engage the last encounter in this instance – Mannoroth and Varo’then.

Illidan will handle Mannoroth at first while Tyrande takes care of the portal spawns, leaving your party to deal with Varo’then. Throughout the encounter, Mannoroth will use Fel Firestorm – simply keeping your entire party moving during this seems to be the best way of dealing with it. You could also huddle up near Illidan to reduce fire damage taken, but tons of stacking Felfire will still do quite some damage. Varo’then himself doesn’t really have any outstanding abilities.

When Varo’then is near death, Dreadlord Debilitators will spawn and prevent Tyrande from taking out the demons, so have your DPS stand in the moonwell she puts up and help her out by killing the Debilitators and any leftover demons. Once the Debilitators are dead, she’ll resume her position and your party is free to help Illidan on Mannoroth.

Pick up the sword that Varo’then dropped when he died and throw it at Mannoroth to weaken him, which will cause him to regularly emit Felfire, so have party member huddle up near Illidan to counter the damage. Mannoroth will open up a demon portal and a constant stream of demons will pour out of it, but Tyrande should manage to deal with them while your party should continue to stay near Illidan and concentrate on killing Mannoroth.

Eventually, Tyrande will collapse and Illidan will give himself and anyone near him a crazy buff that should finish the fight within seconds. An RP scene follows and you have finished Well of Eternity. Congratulations! {/tabs}
