BasicMinimap - Getting Started Guide and introduction to MoveAnything

Many times we may want to move the minimap around or just give it a bit of flair. BasicMinimap is an addon that allows you to do all of this without slowing down your computer like SexyMap could.

It is recommended for all those who want to modify the appearance or position of their minimap without sacrificing too much ram memory (and frames per second). In addition, taking advantage of the situation, we are going to explain a few simple steps about MoveAnything, an addon that we will talk about in depth later.

To begin, as always, we must download or install the addons. It is necessary to completely exit the game to be able to install the addon, it never hurts to remember it.

MoveAnything

When entering the game, the first thing we must do is activate the plugin in the Titan panel.

You must configure the Basic Minimap minimally from the game menu (Escape key-> Interface -> [Addons tab]). Once I have placed the mini map where it should be, I have configured it this way, blocking it to avoid unintentional movements:

The calendar shows it to me by right clicking on the minimap. Clicking with the middle button of the mouse shows me the same menu as right clicking on the plugin in the Titan panel.

Why the possibility of seeing the menu from 2 options? Well, there are many players that do not have a center button, some only have 2 buttons. For this reason and because we must leave the left click free for indications on the minimap, for example on a band, I advise setting it this way.

If you pay attention, you will see that the zoom buttons on the minimap are up there. To solve this we have installed the MoveAnything, but we will talk about it in a moment.

We now have the minimap controls on the Titan panel, from the Minimap Controls we can use them. If you need to track whatever it is, you right click and select it. If you prefer the Titan panel clearer, you can use the settings of the Basic Minimap from the right button of the mouse, that is your choice.

MoveAnything

Now let's get to the tricky part… the MoveAnything.

Due to its ability to hide things, it is convenient that for the moment, you only hide what I am going to explain to you now. We are going to hide the zoom buttons, since the Basic Minimap allows you to zoom with the mouse wheel. If you don't have a wheel on the mouse, you can always move the buttons where you see fit.

Let's see how to do this.

First of all, let's go to the configuration of the MoveAnything. We do it from the game options menu by giving the Escape Key-> Button MoveAnything!

In the window that appears, we move in it until we reach the Minimap section.
An advice: If when you activate the addon configuration all the sections are expanded, you can collapse all at once from the CE box (collapse everything) such that:

moveanything_collapse_1

moveanything_collapse_2

We expand Minimap and if we have a wheel on the mouse we hide Zoom In and Zoom Out. To do this, we mark the Hide box for them. If we don't have a wheel, we mark the Move box. But we must do it 1 by 1, this way we can go more calmly.

Now, we are going to place the buttons where we are most interested.

If they are where we wanted, we uncheck the box Move and ready.

If you have messed with the MoveAnything and you have lost something in the game, simply go back to the configuration of this addon and reset its position with the button Reset. You have to be very careful with this addon. Once it happened that a friend messed with him and inadvertently hid the dice window, and therefore was not eligible for loot in the dungeons. Everything was solved with a simple reset of the position of that window.

With this we end for today.

Soon we will delve into the Move Anything addon and we will also talk about the Tinytip, another addon to move things in this case the Tooltip, that information window that appears when we hover the mouse over something.
