Normal and Heroic Krosus Guide - Nighthold

Kross

Welcome to the guidance of Krosus, sixth boss of the Nighthold gang. In this guide we discuss the strategy and skills to take into account to successfully defeat Krosus, we have also made a video guide to have a more complete vision of the encounter.

Kross

This towering lord of doom is one of the largest and most powerful creatures in the Legion's armies. He was defeated on the Broken Shore when the greatest heroes of the Horde and the Alliance joined forces. After recovering from his injuries, Krosus emerges from the bay that links the Nighthold and the Tomb of Sargeras to crush anyone who opposes the Legion.

Summary

Players confront Krosus in a broken area of a bridge. Over the course of the battle, Krosus destroys sections of the bridge and forces players to retreat into a shrinking space. If Krosus is not defeated in time, players will be left without a foothold and will rush to their deaths at sea.

  • Burning pitch: Krosus launches lava blasts from his shoulders. Each blob of lava inflicts 640.242. Fire damage to all enemies within 3 yards on impact. If Burning Pitch misses any player, a Burning Ember is formed.
  • Burning ember
    • Fel Blast: Launches a blast of Fel Flame at a random target, inflicting 597.241 damage. Fire damage.
  • Onslaught- Krosus hits the bridge with his fists, causing a shockwave for 1.493.102. physical damage to all players. Players under their fists are awarded 1.923.115 points. of physical damage. If the damage from both fists is absorbed in this way, the damage to other players is reduced to 1.152.077p. of physical damage.
  • Isolated fury: Inflicts 256.216 p. Physical damage to all enemies every 0.5 sec. Krosus only uses this attack when not in close combat.

Strategy

The encounter against Krosus consists of a single phase and very few skills that will be repeated over and over again. So far everything seems very simple but we will have time and space against us. The combat is carried out on a piece of bridge, a bridge that Krosus will break with his fists until we have no space in which to place ourselves if we do not finish with him first.

Krosus will use his Make vile, in addition to the indication of the DBM or Bigwins, the effect of the boss is to raise the arm of the side that will be affected by the beam, so that we simply have to move to the opposite side. This ability will remain the same until the end of the encounter.

Krosus will then pin a random player with Orb of Destruction, said player must get as far as possible, running towards the end of the bridge to mitigate the damage of the explosion. This ability will be simple at the beginning of the encounter but as the combat progresses we will need to use healing cds, since the distance to the bottom of the bridge will decrease.

Then we will see how Krosus attacks us with Burning pitch, creating small areas scattered throughout the bridge. We must cover the maximum amount of them to prevent Burning Embers from appearing, small elementals that deal a lot of damage due to their ability Fel Blast. When the Burning Embers appear, our priority will be to kill them immediately.

Meanwhile Krosus is also dedicated to pounding the bridge in order to break it and he will do it, using the Onslaught. Every time Krosus uses this ability the entire band takes a lot of damage, and also if any player is at the point of impact of his fists he will surely die, so watch out for the melés. The third Onslaught It will cause the bridge to break, so at that point we will all go back far enough not to fall into the water or… whatever, it's green and it kills too.

Tanks will need to return to melee quickly, as Krosus also has the ability Isolated fury, for the inflicts damage to the entire raid if no one is found in melee. In addition to this Krosus has an ability that will make the tanks have to exchange it, Scorching brand.

Krosus will repeat the sequence of abilities that we have already mentioned until the end of the encounter, becoming more and more complicated due to lack of space. We have 6 minutes to defeat this boss so… squeeze that dps !!!

And so far the summary of the meeting, I hope it has helped you and remember that any questions, comments or suggestions are more than welcome.
