Després de 15 anys a Blizzard i gairebé 10 anys treballant en Hearthstone, he pres la increïblement difícil decisió de embarcar-me en una nova aventura.

Tio, no ha estat fàcil escriure això.

Tenia tan sols 20 anys quan vaig començar a treballar en Blizzard i el meu primer lloc va ser testant jocs en el torn de nit.

Des d'aquell primer moment Blizzard sempre es va portar bé amb mi. Vaig tenir l'ocasió de narrar esdeveniments de eSports, presentar BlizzCons, tocar en bandes de rock, escriure rap i sobretot de treballar amb gent increïble. Encara que, sens dubte, la major oportunitat va venir quan el 2008 em vaig unir a el "Team 5"; l'equip de Hearthstone.

Estic molt orgullós de Hearthstone i crec que hem deixat la nostra pròpia petjada en la indústria dels videojocs. La gent m'explica com Hearthstone ha unit més a les seves famílies, com noves amistats han sorgit en els Fireside Gatherings o com els ha motivat a convertir-se en desenvolupadors de videojocs. És increïble ser part d'alguna cosa que ha estat tan important per a tanta gent.

I encara que estic molt orgullós de Hearthstone, estic encara més orgullós de l'equip que hi ha darrere.

No hi ha un altre equip com aquest. Molta gent ha anat i vingut al llarg d'aquests 10 anys que Hearthstone porta en desenvolupament, però hi ha alguna cosa realment especial sobre l'Ànima de l'Equip. Tots sabíem que el nostre producte més important no era el joc, sinó l'equip. Un gran equip pot aconseguir grans coses, i crec que l'equip de Hearthstone és el millor sens dubte. Per a nosaltres no és només una feina, sinó una passió que tots compartim. Venim a treballar en un joc que tots estimem i intentem millorar-lo dia a dia.

Revisem freqüentment la comunitat Reddit de Hearthstone buscant oportunitats que ens ajudin a millorar el joc. M'han encantat els memes, participar en agitats debats i fins i tot ser considerat responsable de les altes expectatives que tots tenim sobre el joc. Intentem estar sempre disponible a través de les xarxes socials i crec que hem anat un pas més enllà en aquest sentit. Ha estat especialment gratificant veure com l'equip ha crescut tant en aquest sentit durant els últims anys mentre jo em centrava més en la direcció de el joc i menys en el disseny.

Es m'atribueix molt pel fet de ser la cara més coneguda a Hearthstone, però hi ha més de 80 persones en l'equip de desenvolupament, i són ells realment els que donen vida a les cartes, les baralles de taverna, esdeveniments, missions i totes les novetats. To my friends, coworkers, and the Hearthstone community,

After 15 years at Blizzard and almost 10 years working on Hearthstone, I have made the incredibly difficult decisió to embark on a new journey.

Man, that was a hard sentence to type.

I was 20 years old when I started aquí. My first role was 'Night Crew Game Tester.'

Since then, Blizzard has been good to me. I got to cast esports events, announce BlizzCons, play in Rock Bands, write raps, and work with incredible people. But the biggest opportunity came in 2008 when I joined "Team 5." The Hearthstone Team.

I am very proud of Hearthstone. I think we made an impact on the industry. People tell em that Hearthstone Brought their family closer together, or that they became close friends with people they met at a Fireside Gathering. Others tell em they were inspired by Hearthstone to become game developers themselves. It 's incredible to be a part of something that touches so many people.

There is no team like the Hearthstone team. People have menja and gone over the 10 years Hearthstone has been in development, but there 's something special about the Soul of the Team. We knew our most important product was not the game, but the team itself. A great team can do great things, and I think the Hearthstone team is the greatest. It is not just a job. It 'sa shared passion. We get to come to work and focus on the game we love and try to make it better every day.

We frequently check the Hearthstone subreddit looking for oportunitats per to improve the game. I have loved the silly memes, Engaging in Spirited debats, or even just being held accountable to our shared high standards for the game. We try to be highly available on social media, and I think our team helped push the envelope in this regard. It has been especially satisfying to me to see the team step up over the last few years and help engage in these ways as I became more focused on direction and less on actual design.

I get too much credit by virtue of being a public face, but the 80+ people on the development team are still there, and they are the ons actually making the cards, brawls, events, missions, and features. I am confident the game is in the best possible hands, and I'ma excited to see where a new generation of leaders takes Hearthstone from here.

I am very Fortunate to be able to take a crazy risk right now in my life, and I'ma excited to be scrappy and a little scared. I'ma going to help start a new company. We'll probably make games, but we have not figured anything else out, de usuaris. I'ma looking forward to designing, programming, and actually creating things again.
