Below we list all the hidden appearances of the artifact weapons by specialization. For now, some appearances have no hidden effect, earning method, or even both discovered until the official release of Legion. Patience, we will update it as soon as our ravens inform us of the new ones 🙂
Hidden effects are not unlocked, they come "standard" on each artifact weapon.

Colors of the hidden appearances
The methods of obtaining the colors are the same for all classes
1st color: Unlocked by achieving the hidden appearance.
2nd color: 100 dungeons with the hidden appearance.
3rd color: 200 World Missions with the hidden appearance.
4th color: 1000 deaths in PvP with the hidden appearance.

Death Knight
Blood
Requirements: Complete the main chain of Suramar army and 400 mana.
It is achieved with soul, reward from the last chest in the quest training.
Hidden effect maw: The Maw of the Damned has feasted on the soul of a non-elite humanoid or demonic creature, increasing damage by 1%.
Frost
It is achieved with soul, drop of souls or in Icecrown Citadel 25 (normal and heroic).
Hidden effect maw: Your damaging attacks have a chance to summon the spirit of an ancient Lich King, dealing 15. damage and grants a toning effect.
Profane
Requirements: hidden tracking and artifact knowledge 6.
- Use apocalypse your artifact weapon has a chance to summon a army special that will give you putricide.
- Following the instructions in the manual go to the Icecrown Citadel and open the special hatch that will take you to stitch.
It is achieved with soul.
Hidden effect maw: A fatal blow with the Apocalypse Runeblade.
Demon Hunter
Devastation
Requirements: Artifact knowledge 5.
- You need the Candrael Talisman, random drop in Suramar World Quests.
- Hand it over to candrael.
- With a kick it will launch you through the air towards sinking.
- The combat will be totally aerial. If you fall to the ground the combat is canceled and you will return to the beginning, you will have to hit well sinking to use your blasts of air, glide with your wings and not fall.
It is achieved with soul, drop of sinking.

- Annihilate demons until it falls.
It is achieved with soul, drop the demons within portal.
Hidden effect: Unknown for now.

Equilibrio
Requirements: Artifact Knowledge 6 and Exalted with the Dreamweavers.
It is achieved with soul, Combining sap with drop.
Hidden effect spirit: This creature is affected by ancient and powerful magic. Only a powerful druid wielding the Scythe of Elune can dispel its effect.
Feral
Requirements: Artifact knowledge 4.
- On the Emerald Dream Path, you will see a chat prompt in the form of a wild screech coming from one of the portals (Hinterlands, Duskwood, or Feralas).

- Repeat this process several times until Ela'lothen, the Owl God, appear.

Hidden effect spirit: Casting an assist spell has a chance to cause flowers to sprout at the target location, healing nearby targets every 2 sec. What's more, ramanzano will throw you apple if you walk past him.
Hunter
Beasts
It is achieved with soul, sold by hobart for 8000 gold.
Hidden effect: Unknown for now.
Aim
Requirements: Revered with the Court of Farondis.
It is achieved with soul, sold by hobart for 1700 gold.
Hidden effect fast: Thas'dorah creates a swift breeze aura around its owner, gradually increasing the movement speed of party members within 8 yards.
Survival
It is achieved with soul, drop of ursoc en nightmare.
Hidden effect fast: When your health drops below 40%, a huge eagle will come to your aid for 10 seconds. This can only happen once every 3 min.
Wizard
Arcane
Requirements: Artifact knowledge 6.
- It polymorphs the following creatures:

Hidden effect fast: Aluneth has just absorbed power from a nearby source of magical energy. Arcane damage increased by 2% within Broken Isles. Sometimes the cane communicates with its bearer.
Fuego
Requirements: Artifact knowledge 5.
It is achieved with soul, random drop on Azsuna.
Hidden effect: Talking to the elven smiths in Dalaran can unlock a unique dialogue that grants artifact power. Also, from time to time, the corpses of creatures you kill will be charred.
Frost
- In the class headquarters uses portal.
- Every day 5 portals will be generated, there is a very small possibility that only one of them will lead you to Frostfire Ridge.
It is achieved with soul, at the Frostfire Ridge portal.
Hidden effect fast: Memories of Tirisfal's guardians have helped you understand the latent powers of the Glacial Ebony. Experience and reputation gains increased by 5% in the Broken Isles.
Monk
Cervercero Master
- In the class headquarters uses portal.
- Each day a barrel will appear at coordinates 55 56.
It is achieved with soul inside the barrel.
Hidden effect: Unknown for now.
Mistweaver
It is achieved with soul, drop of sonder, eme, Lethon y take en nightmare.
Hidden effect: Unknown for now.
Wind Traveler
Requirements: Complete the main chain of Suramar army and 400 mana.
It is achieved with soul, reward from the last chest in the quest training.
Hidden effect maw: The gust of wind from your landing hits nearby enemies and knocks them back.
Paladin
Sagrado
Requirements: Artifact knowledge 5.
It is achieved with soul, random drop on Azsuna.
Hidden effect maw: Light empowers you, increasing your damage to undead by 100%.
Protection
Requirements: Complete the main chain of Suramar army and 400 mana.
It is achieved with soul, reward from the last chest in the quest training.
Hidden effect maw: Reveals hidden demons by force.
Repression
Requirements: Artifact knowledge 6.
- Get the 2 fishing books from Nat Pagle:
- Get the ali (alliance) / horde (horde) of nefarious in Blackwing's LairATTENTION: if you did not complete the mission of the head, DO NOT DELIVER IT, it will be consumed and you will have to wait 1 week to return, if you have already done it, keep it with you).
- Deliver the fishing books to elda.
- Go to The Massacre and deliver ali (alliance) / horde (horde) a principle
- Talk to Alexia (alliance) / bardu (horde).
- Lee inquisitor (/ way 42.36 18.73) in Western Plaguelands.
- Defeat slug in Western Plaguelands (respawn time 25-30 h).
- Use the phylactery and invokes timolin.
- Fishing fragment in the Thondroril River in Western Plaguelands (fishing skill level does not affect).
- Talk to maxwell.
It is achieved with soul, reward of walking.
Hidden effect maw: The Crematorium has a chance to instantly destroy any lesser demon or undead creature.

Before starting the search, talk to Inkforge archivist at the Class Headquarters.
Collect the 12 volumes:
- Volume I - Violet Citadel in Dalaran (Broken Isles).

Go into Instructor Álgido Corazón's room, kill the group on the right side, and pick up the tome on the 6th shelf from the right. - Volume VI - Class Venue.

It is achieved with soul, drop of sinking en nightmare.
Hidden effect: The dagger whispers to you.
Rogue
Murder
Requirements: Artifact knowledge 4.
It is achieved with soul, drop of sinking, sliver, mana, creek y sega in The Sewers of Dalaran (Broken Isles).
Hidden effect: «Lend» the weapon to brulf will grant you artifact power.
Outlaw
Requirements: Artifact knowledge 5.
- Get left Dargrul on any difficulty setting of Neltharion's Lair.
- Get left of Ceniz'golm on any difficulty setting in the Chamber of the Wardens.
- When you get these two pieces you will automatically activate bindings.
It is achieved with soul.
Hidden effect blood: Hado and Fortuna have both fed on the blood of humanoid creatures, providing 2% increased movement speed.
Subtlety
Requirements: Vault.
- Get key giving out vale o currency to Marin Cloudburst.
- Talk to taoshi to start the king. You need one key.
- Gather all the pandaria that you can.
It is achieved with soul, collected in treasure.
Hidden effect: Unknown for now.
Shaman
Elemental
Requirements: Artifact knowledge 4.
It is achieved with soul, drop of sinking, sliver, mana, creek y sega in The Sewers of Dalaran (Broken Isles).
Hidden effect: Some water and air elementals in Stormheim are friendly as long as you have this weapon equipped.
Constant improvement
It is achieved with maza, drop from the World Bosses in the Broken Isles.
Hidden effect: Unknown for now.
Restaurants
It is achieved with maza, random drop on eye.
Hidden effect: When your character stops, aquatic figures appear from the mace.
Sorcerer
Affliction
Requirements: grimoire, drop of ered.
- Collect 13 skull for the mission first, only dropped by Rare Elites from World Missions.
- With the 13 skulls go to the Pass of Death and use them in altar.
It is achieved with soul.
Hidden effect: Defeating enemies can cause their souls to return to earth and follow you for a while.
Demonology
Requirements: Artifact knowledge 4.
Collect all 6 Eredar heads from the Broken Isles: damaged, distorted, deformed, deficient y satisfactory.
It is achieved with soul, the last head.
Hidden effect: Depending on the zone, spell or target killed, the weapon whispers to you.
Destruction
- In the class headquarters uses portal.
- Inside summons the demon in the ritual.
It is achieved with soul.
Hidden effect: Unknown for now.
Guerrero
Weapons
- Talk to teacher to start secret

It is achieved with soul, reward of axes.
Hidden effect look: Strom'kar reacts to the presence of his former enemies and generates an aura of fear.
Furia

Hidden effect look: Odyn grants you a second chance to defeat your rival. Do it in the next 8 seconds and Odyn will bring you back to life with 50% of your health.

It is achieved with burning plate, is located in the treasure room on the upper level of the Halls of Neltharion.

It's strange, I just checked the script myself and some friends in case there was some kind of typo and it works correctly for us. You may be right and it is some visual bug of yours. The other option is / run AddTrackedAchievement (11152) which tracks the achievement of the 200 dungeons, with that I already believe that some error is impossible.
Well, I still see that visual bug but I no longer need it, I already have less than 5 dungeons to unlock the recolor it comes out 9/100 .. Thanks for the script, it helped me a lot.

Good! On demonology the faces will always touch you in that order, 1 to 1. The "grace" of the hidden appearance is that each gray head is discarded by your artifact weapon for not liking the skin, the smile, the face, etc ... The 6th is the charm and that is the true hidden appearance.

When you see the howl you have to get into the portal from which it comes. You have the coordinates of the areas where the stone can come out, you just have to touch it and that's it. The stone is bluish with the feral symbol.

First of all thanks for reading us! The weapon color for dungeons only counts Legion dungeons from normal to mythic, ancient and mythic + do not count.
About the script many people are having visualization problems lately, it is due to a visual bug from the client. With this script / run AddTrackedAchievement (11152) keeps track of the counter of dungeons made.

The quest is the one that you have to deliver 400 mana in Suramar, if I remember correctly the only repeatable quest of Legion to this day. The hidden aspect is by probability, not by score. The only thing that the score gives you are more chests to open and with that, more likely that it will touch you but nothing more. And about Gul'dan's achievement is irrelevant, whatever you have it will come out sooner or later 😉
