Artifact Weapons: Death Knight

Blood - Maw of the Damned
An ancient Legion ax forged from metal that drains life energies from its victims. The soul of its creator is trapped inside and suffers a curse that makes it insatiable. For over a thousand years, a cunning old mo'arg has used the ax to crush all rebellion and to consume the life force of the Legion's enemies. Throughout its long and infamous history, the weapon has made its demonic owner tremendously powerful.
Frost - Frost Emissary and Frost Reaver
Created by the Burning Legion to corrupt the world of Azeroth, the Frostmourne was shattered by the Crematorium atop Icecrown Citadel. Countless souls were freed as the blade broke, but others were not so lucky. Today, the Frostmourne Fragments can be re-forged and infused with even greater power. But first, the spirits that are still trapped inside must be subdued to respond to the will of their owner.
Profane - Apocalypse
The vampire demons known as nathrezim forged this ancient sword that brings violence, plague and death. Apocalypse quickly built up a terrifying reputation at the hands of a Tirisfal Guard mage, who was unable to control his destructive energies. In time, the dark servant horsemen of Medivh, the corrupt Guardian of Tirisfal, seized the sword and hid the blade in the catacombs below their home, the tower of Karazhan.
