Legion Pre-Events - News and Special Mission Chain
With today's new update, the pre-patch event brings some news for invasions and the start of Legion's new chain of special missions.
Below we show you the news and a small guide to the special Legion chain illustrated with photos so you don't miss any detail 🙂.
What's new in pre-Legion events
- Invasions will be activated on 3 different maps at the same time.
- The invasions will take place every 2 hours, previously 4 hours.
- Starting today, the new quest chain involving Dalaran, the Council of Six, Jaina Proudmoore, Magni Bronzebeard and Khadgar is activated.
- Dalaran moves to Death Pass, just above Karazhan.
Special Mission Chain: Destiny Ulduar and Karazhan
It is a short quest chain, not difficult at all but high lore content, the reward is not detracting at all: some 700 gloves with a special bonus against Legion demons. For those of you who are equipped full hc / mythical they will not interest you but it comes with pearls to equip our alters for Legion.
How is the mission of yore activated?
Wherever you are, an Emissary of Khadgar will bring you the mission without the need for you to move to activate it. Whether in the citadel, in a band, in the capital or in Northrend, the Emissary will follow you in the plan "accept her, she will come to you and then you will complain, she will accept her."
The Council's Call
We head to our capital and take the new portal to Dalaran.
- In Orgrimmar the portal is in the Circus of Shadows, attached to the stairs that lead to the southwest exit.
- In Stormwind the portal is in Stormwind Castle, the first room on the left as soon as you enter the Castle.
After taking the portal we headed to the Violet Citadel to meet Khadgar.
Upon reaching the entrance, we will see the Council assembled and ready to discuss the issue that Khadgar presents to them: to re-admit the Horde to the Kirin Tor. Of course, Jaina is the opposite face of Khadgar and will not give the arm to twist.
At the end of the voting, the Horde is re-admitted to the Kirin Tor and allowed to enter Dalaran by 4 votes in favor and 2 against. Seeing that the measures that she proposed are not taken, Jaina leaves Dalaran whimsically and the title of Leader of the Kirin Tor.
The King of Diamonds
When you deliver the mission Brann suddenly appears warning that his brother Magni is alive and is in Ulduar.
Phase 1: Follow the custodian
Upon entering Ulduar we find it as a quieter and "cleaner" area than we once found. A servant of Magni shows us the way to him.
But oh, who do we have here! Not only does Magni's servant welcome us to Ulduar, it turns out that the remnants of Yogg-Saron are still alive in the depths of Ulduar, coming to life as we enter to give ourselves a "warm" loving embrace of madness and despair.
Phase 2: Eliminate the infestation
Along with Yogg-Saron's welcome, 2 of his Faceless will attack us at the end of the whispers.
When finishing with them the servant warns us that not only Yogg-Saron has escaped from his confinement, the Legion managed to penetrate Ulduar and they are trying to kidnap Magni.
Phase 3: Locate Magni
Follow the servant and discover where the attackers are hiding.
Stage 4: Destroy the barrier
Speak to Khadgar to destroy the Legion's protective barrier and save Magni.
Stage 5: Defeat the demons
To save Magni defeat the 3 demons.
Stage 6: Escort Magni
Go with Magni to the room where the boss Alagalon used to be.
Phase 7: Enter the Planetarium
Final phase: The King Diamonds
Inside the Room, Magni will tell us about the "Pillars of Destiny", the work of the Titans and a possible key piece to stop the invasions of the Legion in Azeroth. Khadgar recalls that more information about the Pillars is found in one of the books, in the Karazhan library, of his old teacher Medivh.
Hiding in piles
Upon taking the Khadgar portal we find ourselves at the gates of Karazahn, ready to enter and search for the tome of the Pillars.

Khadgar prepares to deactivate the magic door but activates the tower's defenses. Defend him until he's done.
Phase 4: We are not alone
The Legion once again destroys the defenses and breaks into Karazhan to prevent us from getting the Tome of the Pillars. Luckily, Khadgar acts fast and creates a shield to slow them down.
Phase 5: Breakthrough
We help Khadgar destroy the barrier.
Stage 6: Faded
Karazhan's defenses are still active, use the spell book that Khadgar manipulates to go faster to the library.
Phase 7: Take care of the books
Some uncontrollable magic tomes do not want us to look for the volume in peace. Destroy them.
Pit 8: They are not the intruders you are looking for
To stop the troops that managed to penetrate Khadgar's shield, the wizard will activate 3 Karazhan Sentinels to use them to our advantage.
Stage 9: Defenders of Karazhan
With the Sentinels disabled, activate them to assist you in defending Karazhan against the Legion.
Phase 10: Knowledge is the key

With the tome in your possession, return to Dalaran to hand it over to the Council. Khadgar decides to stay in Karazhan to expel the Legion honoring the memory of his master, because he should not be remembered as the pawn of Sargeras but as the great man and savior of Azeroth that he was..
