New Skinning Materials in Legion
- Petrapiel LeatherIn Legion we will be able to obtain various types of materials by skinning animals on the maps. As leather materials proper we have three:
- Stormscale
- Fel Hide
But we will also find other animal remains that we will need to make garments of Leatherworking in Legion:

If you remember during Cataclysm we stripped Strange bloated stomach e Plump intestines during Mists of Pandaria. This was always one more incentive to go out to farm since you returned with the bags full of Volatile, now our objective will surely change to artifact power, in addition to unbroken claws and teeth.
Starting the Skinning Missions in Legion
To improve our Skinning ability in Legion, we must complete the mission chain of the profession, since the rewards of the missions consist of collecting each type of material more efficiently.
If we already have the profession learned, it is not necessary to go immediately to the instructor, otherwise learn the profession before entering the Broken Isles. You'll find Kondal Hunting Sworn in Dalaran at the Legendary Fur Shop, alongside the Leatherworking Trainer.
We are going to separate the missions that they will give us when we find an object and those that they will give us when we deliver the first one to the instructor. This will happen with each type of material mentioned in the previous section.
Skinning Stonehide Leather

Petrapiel Leather Sample
We will find the object petrahide leather sample Skinning creatures in the Broken Isles, anywhere, including dungeons. This item starts a quest with the same name that asks us to bring the sample to our instructor in Dalaran, along with 10 more pieces of Stonehide Leather. If you already have them in your inventory, head to Dalaran, otherwise, kill one more creature before leaving.
By completing this mission we will obtain Legion Skinner, which allows us to skin beasts in the Broken Isles.
One piece
Once the stone leather sample has been delivered to Kondal Juracaza, he will give us our next mission, One Piece. It seems that Kondal is not very happy with our skinning, but it will give us another chance to improve. We will have to get 20 whole hides skinning in the Broken Isles.
We can obtain whole hides by skinning any creature in the Broken Isles. A good area can be the Nesinwary Retreat in High Mountain, since we will find many mobs together.
Completing this mission will grant us Skinning Technique: Stonehide Leather (Rank 1), which teaches us to collect petrahide leather more effectively.

Piece of Pants
As we skin on High Mountain, we will find a piece of pants. Wow, what a coincidence! If it belongs to Hemet Nesinwary. Well, nothing, we are going to hand it over to him.

Skins of Highmountain
Get 5 bear hides, 5 old horn hides and 5 saber hides.
We will easily carry out this mission in the surroundings of the Nesinwary refuge, killing bears, old horns and sabers. Completing this mission will give us Mortojo's Monocle, It is not worth much but it is cool. NOTE: this mission is not required to continue the chain.
Freedom to roam
Get 5 musk skins, 5 lion seal skins, 5 boar skins and 5 wolf skins. This mission, as its name suggests, will make us wander through all the Broken Isles but it has no more difficulty than that.
Completing this mission will give us Skinning Technique: Stonehide Leather (Rank 2)

Unsullied Petrafiel Leather
Skin, skin, skin and a piece of Leather will appear. Unsullied Petrahide Leather. We will have to take this piece to Kondal Jurahunt in Dalaran.
Leather for Ske'rit
Kondal sends us to Suramar. We must find Ske'rit, a former student of his who will continue our training.
Legend of the Leathers
Obtain the Ice Howl skin from the Trial of the Crusader, the Occu'thar skin from Tol Barad, and the Horridon skin from Thunder Solio.
As you can see, this gets a bit complicated, although obviously it is a very easy mission to carry out alone, we will have to walk
Fenryr's skin
Finally, they ask us to bring them the skin of a very large wolf, nothing more and nothing less than that of Fenryr, head of the Halls of Valor dungeon. Once we deliver the Fenryr skin we will obtain Skinning Technique: Petrahide Leather.

Stormscale Sample
The order of the missions will depend on the first thing we skin. If we are uploading this profession together with Leatherworking, as is my case, the first thing we will find will be stormscale sample. This object begins the mission with the same name, which asks us to take the sample to our instructor by profession.
The core of the stormscale
We will return to Dalaran and visit our instructor to deliver the mission. Then he will give us the mission The core of the Stormscale, in which he asks us to get 20 stormscale sparks. The reward will be Skinning Technique: Stormscale (Rank 1)
These sparks can be obtained by skinning creatures throughout the Broken Isles, but again it will be easier for us to obtain them in Stormheim.
Very close to the starting area of Tormenhein, in "Denied Summits" there is a cave inhabited by Storm drakes, Stormscale Cavern. Surely you have run into it if you have already started this area, and if not, this is the time. In a short space of time killing and skinning drakes, we will get out of there with 20 sparks. In addition, as in the cave you will find players performing missions, many times we will see the drakes ready to skin.
Another area where it will also be easy to find sparks is in Hrydshal, where we will find Stormwing Drakes.

Unfinished Treatise on the Properties of the Stormscale
We will obtain this item by skinning in the Broken Isles. The odds increase in these little animals.
We will carry the Unfinished Treatise on the Properties of Stormscale to Kondal in Dalaran, and he will give us two new missions. From here the chain divides, on the one hand we must travel to Storm and on the other hand to Azsuna.
Storm
Seymour and Agnes

My class
glielle
As we discussed earlier, the chain is divided, and the second part consists of finding Glielle in Azsuna. We will find her in a small lagoon with the Furrier instructor. Of course Glielle has something to order from us.
Under the feathers
Glielle asks us to get 20 Hippogriff scale. It will not be difficult for us to obtain them by killing and skinning hippogriffs in a nearby area, yes, have a little patience. Completing this mission we will obtain Skinning Technique: Stormscale.

Back in Dalaran Kondal will give us the last mission in the chain.

Legion Skinning Tips
By completing this chain of missions you will have managed to raise the skill to 800 Skinning in Legion. In addition, you will have more or less clear where to obtain each material, however I am going to tell you what I have learned.
El Petrapiel Leather It appears on any skinnable creature in all the Broken Isles, don't worry it will end up coming out of your ears.
La Stormscale we will find it in greater quantity in the scaly creatures, from drakes to nagas and especially in Tormenhein and Azsuna.
El Fel Hide It will be the most difficult material to obtain and we will need it to make the best Leatherworking recipes in Legion (I leave you the guide) I couldn't kill Nythendra again after reaching the last Skinning mission in Legion, so I'm still not sure if getting Felhide Rank 3 will make it easier for us, which I understand will be. In the meantime, don't miss a single Skinning world quest in Legion, as it will be our most abundant source of this material at least early in the expansion.
