Harjatan Preview - Tomb of Sargeras - PTR 7.2

harjatan

Welcome to the preview of Harjatan, the second boss we will face in the new Tomb of Sargeras raid that will open with the arrival of the next patch 7.2. At the moment we have been able to test this boss in the difficulty of raid finder, so we bring you this video with some basic explanations of skills and mechanics.

harjatan

Harjatan was trained from birth to crush his enemies. After a savage and brutal conquest, he gathered a multitude of cave-dwelling murlocs who view him as a god. Now this brute naga has only to give an order for hordes of devoted followers to do his bidding.

Skills and Strategy

La Abrasive armor from Harjatan causes tanks to receive Jagged abrasion. This ability is the one that will mark the change of tanks since it inflicts 480.000 points. Bleed physical damage every 2 sec for 30 sec and stacking.

Harjatan is gaining energy, when he reaches 100, he releases all his accumulated anger with the ability Uncontrolled anger. This ability deals 32 million physical damage, divided among all enemies in a cone in front of him. As you can see in the video, no order is maintained on the Raid Finder difficulty and you still manage to defeat the boss. But in higher difficulties we will have to place ourselves in front of the boss to share the damage of Uncontrolled anger.

Roar of order: At 66% and 33% health, Harjatan roars and summons minions. In lower difficulties we will only see murlocs, which we must help gather and kill as quickly as possible, since some of these murlocs fixate on random targets. In Heroic and Mythic difficulties we will also see a Dark Scale Taskmaster, a minion with considerably more life and who we will have to kill first as it will make the murlocs enraged.

Attraction: Pulls all pools of Torrential Waters toward Harjatan for 10 seconds, adding a stack of Cold Strikes for each pool absorbed. When this happens we must avoid contact with the puddles that approach the boss, Nythendra style. Stepping on these puddles will leave us marks of Draft, increasing all damage taken from Frost.

Harjatan has the ability Icy blows, causing each melee attack to trigger Torrential bog. Torrential bog causes a portion of the collected ice water to break off, targeting the location of a random enemy. Upon reaching its destination, it inflicts 928.000 Frost damage to all nearby enemies, leaving behind a pool of Rushing Waters. The objectives of Torrential Ciénaga must go to the back of the room to leave the puddles, although as you can see in the video, that in a band finder is almost impossible.

Icy discharge: Releases the last drops of stored water, inflicting 239.926 damage. frost damage to all enemies and removes all their draft stacks.

Summary

Stay close to your teammates to share the damage dealt by Uncontrolled Rage. Try to keep the number of Draft stacks to a minimum to reduce damage taken from all Frost damage sources throughout combat.

Healers

The highest priority will be to heal the raid each time the boss casts Uncontrolled Rage and Frozen Bolt.
Stay clear of the Torrential Bog hit point to avoid taking unnecessary damage or stacks of Draft.

Dps

When the boss casts Pull, be sure to move so the moving puddles of Torrential Waters are out of reach.

Tank

Make sure you don't get too many stacks of Jagged Abrasion.
Take care of the Jawbone sanaolas when they appear to keep them away from the band.
