Welcome to the first Legion raid preview. Today's boss is Elerethe Renferal, second boss of the Emerald Nightmare gang on Raid Finder difficulty.
Elerethe Renferal
Elerethe, a once-powerful, shapeshifting druid, entered a dark path, believing that her closest allies had betrayed her. Now his conscience inhabits the Nightmare, condemned to an existence of fear and hatred.
Strategy
The first thing to keep in mind is that we have been able to test this boss in the difficulty of Raid Finder, which can give us a wrong view regarding the difficulty of it. At first glance, it promises to be a very fun combat on higher difficulties as we understand that it will last at least, a little longer.
We are in a meeting that is divided into two phases due to the change in the boss's form. As soon as we begin, we will find Elerethe in the form of a spider, slightly reminding us of our longed-for Betilac .. right?
During this phase, the tanks should take turns controlling the spiders and changing the boss according to the damage they take from Web of Pain: 100% of the damage dealt to the linked source is reflected back to you, increasing if the targets separate more than 20 meters.
Meanwhile, the Dps must avoid the nefarious Ambush point of impact, at which point Elerethe will appear by surprise, dealing 3 million damage and repelling the targets that are in the point.
In addition, they must move away from the band if they are marked with Necrotic Tósigo, since in addition to receiving damage from this damage, they will leave a pool that is best placed as far away from the band as possible.
Healers should be on the lookout for the same abilities as Dps, but also keep an eye on the health of the tank that is affected by Cobweb of Pain.
The phase change is determined by the change in shape from the boss to roc. When he does, he will begin to cast Oncoming Clouds, an ability that deals damage to all players and knocks them off the platform. At this time feathers will appear that can be taken by players in the style of Ji'kun in Throne of Thunder. It is interesting to reserve feathers for the tanks and at least one healer to accompany them, since they will arrive faster than the others with the added advantage that when they hit the ground they can kill the spiders, if they remain.
This change is extremely fun and will be the difficult point of the encounter in higher difficulties, since the raid will receive damage while changing platforms and must avoid the eddies (Twisted Shadows) since they will inflict a high amount of damage.
Once we reach the next platform we will face Elerethe in the form of a roc. The raid will need to avoid standing in front of the boss as he will use the Sharpwing ability every so often, dealing heavy shadow damage to targets in a cone in front of him. Tanks will need to trade the boss to each brand of Sweeping Talons as they will take one million damage, and each stack increases the damage of Sweeping Talons taken consecutively by 100%.
We have not been able to verify at the moment how many times this boss can change its shape since as I said at the beginning, in the difficulty of the gang finder it is difficult to be able to make an assessment beyond what we are showing you. Summary
As the confrontation progresses, Elerethe alternates between the Nightmare forms of a spider and a roc. When it rises as a roc, it moves to a different platform, forcing players to confront its Dark Storm as they make their way to it.
Dps
