Nythendra Guide - Emerald Nightmare Raid - Heroic

Welcome to the combat guide against nythendra, primer Head of the Emerald Nightmare gang. In this guide we are going to see the skills that we will have to face and the simplest strategy to defeat Nythendra in Heroic Mode. Of course this guide will be valid for lower difficulties.

Encounter Lore

Nythendra was once part of the Green Flight and in charge of the protection of the World Tree, Shaladrassil. When the corruption of Xavius's Nightmare consumed Shaladrassil, the sleeping guardian fell with him. Now Nythendra is nothing more than a skeletal version of herself, oozing with pestilence, ready to devour any creature foolish enough to sneak into her lair.

nythendra

Nythendra's infected breath unleashes insects and corruption that consume 50p. of energy. When Nythendra runs out of energy, she collapses and begins to launch the swarm's heart. Once fully reconstituted, its form fuses and resumes its attack.

Skills

Stage 1: The Plagued Dreamer

  • Infected: Players hit with any source of Plague damage gain a stack of Infected, dealing 7000. Plague damage every 2 sec. This effect stacks. In Heroic mode, all Infected apps are removed as soon as Nythendra completes Heart of the Swarm.
  • Infected soil: Creates a zone of corruption that inflicts 284438 damage. Plague damage every 1.5 sec to anyone within.
  • Infected breath: Nythendra breathes out clouds of poisonous insects, inflicting 331845 damage. Plague damage every second for 5 sec. In addition, his breath corrupts the area and creates areas of Infected Ground.
  • Rot: Inflicts 316945 p. Plague damage to all allies within 8 yards every 3 sec for 9 sec. When depleted, the Corruption leaves the target and creates areas of Infected Ground.
  • Volatile rot (tanks): Inflicts up to 1733720 p. Plague damage to all allies after 8 sec. Allies further from the detonation take less damage. Additionally, the explosion also creates multiple zones of Infected Soil.

Stage 2: Heart of the Swarm

  • Swarm heart: Upon reaching 0 p. of energy, Nythedra's form collapses, and for 20 sec her influence periodically causes an insect to swell and cast Corruption Burst 3 times before dying.
  • Burst of Corruption: Inflicts 739539 p. Plague damage to all players within 8 yards. Additionally, the toxic residue increases Burst of Corruption damage by 25% for 5 sec. This effect stacks.

Strategy

Encountering Nythendra is actually quite simple given her limited amount of skills, but we must pay attention to each of them as they can be easily lethal. This meeting is divided into two phases that will be marked by the energy of Nythendra. We will start in phase 1, the plagued dreamer, in which Nythendra will spend energy with her abilities. When Nythendra runs out of energy, she collapses and begins to launch the swarm's heart.

During phase 1, taking into account the composition of the 30-player raid, we will divide the raid into two groups, which will be placed one on each side of the boss and not too close together. We will start the match by facing the following skills:

Rot, will mark random targets except tanks, said target must separate from the band as quickly as possible and try not to pass too close to or over other players, since while he has the debuf he will be doing damage to the others. After 9 seconds the mark explodes leaving an area of Infected soil, from which we must quickly get out. We will place these floor stains taking advantage of the edge of the room and always leaving a stain-free area for the phase change.

Infected breathNythendra exhales her breath with clouds of insects and, as in any dragon, we already know that it is not advisable to stay to see what happens, right? Well that, we avoid it.

Nythendra has a special ability reserved for tanks, Volatile rot. They will have to exchange the boss to each brand and move away from the band as much as possible since this debuf explodes in the style of Reaver in CFI, dealing a lot of damage to players who are nearby, this damage decreases with distance.

During the entire match we must avoid receiving plague damage at all costs, since doing so we will gain marks of Infected cumulatively. Nothing happens to win a mark but if they are added in excess we will end the mana of our healers.

Upon exhausting her energy Nythendra collapses and begins phase 2, Heart of the Swarm. During this phase we must seek our survival even if necessary we will stop hurting the boss. As we mentioned before, we have left an area free of stains from Infected soil. We do this to have a "safe" zone at the beginning of phase 2. Infected soil They will be absorbed by Nythendra but this implies that they will move around the room and we must avoid them. In addition, we will see several types of insects around the room that will randomly inflate and launch Burst of Corruption, dealing damage to all players in range. It is very important in this phase not to stop moving, dodging and surviving. If we succeed, Nythendra will go back to phase 1 and we will have to deal with her abilities again.

The duration of this encounter and the number of times it will go through each phase will depend on our group and damage. We will throw the heorism at the beginning of the meeting since it will be the moment when we must move least and we will have a clean room to be able to take better advantage of it.
