Welcome to the guide to the fight against Ursoc, fourth encounter of the Emerald Nightmare gang. In this guide we are going to see the skills that we will have to face and the simplest strategy to defeat Ursoc in heroic mode. Of course this guide will be valid for lower difficulties.

Ursoc is one of the Wild Gods. Patron of the furbolgs and closely tied to the druidic power of shapeshifting, the great elder bear was long one of Azeroth's protectors. But when Ursoc entered his slumber in his shrine in the Grizzly Hills, the world around him plunged into corruption. As he awakened, torment and nightmare consumed and twisted his being.

Skills

  • OverwhelmUrsoc overwhelms a player's defenses for 1.404.141. of physical damage. This increases Physical damage taken by 15% and increases Damage taken from Dismember by 150% for 12 sec. This effect stacks.
  • Quarter: Ursoc viciously butches up a player, inflicting 1.253.698 points. physical damage and 733.645 p. additional Physical damage every 2 sec for 12 sec.
  • Focused gaze: Ursoc focuses his gaze on a player, charges at them after 6 sec and hits them with Crushing Slam. Upon reaching his destination, Ursoc hits all players with Overwhelming Impact.
    • Inertia: Ursoc pierces any player in the direction of his target, inflicting 448.855 damage. Physical damage to all targets in its path and knocks them back. These players take 500% increased Inertia damage for 50 sec.
    • Overwhelming impact: When Ursoc reaches his marked target, he inflicts 2.042.274. physical damage to all players. This effect is reduced with each player crossed by Ursoc.
    • Crushing slam: Ursoc inflicts 1.547.775. physical damage to the target. This damage is reduced the further the target is from Ursoc.
  • Roaring cacophony: Unleashes a powerful roar, inflicting 4.023.949. Physical damage divided evenly among all players within 25 yards.
    •  Cacophony of torment: Every time Ursoc roars, he leaves behind an image of the Nightmare. In subsequent roars from Ursoc, the Nightmare image also lets out a powerful roar, inflicting 412.740 p. Shadow damage divided evenly among all players within 20 m. This effect causes players to flee in terror for 3 sec.
    • Miasma: The Nightmare imagery casts an area of ​​miasma with a radius of 20 yards around it, inflicting 105.600. Shadow damage every 1 sec to players trapped inside.
    • Resounding discord: Echoes increase the damage dealt by Roaring Cacophony by 10%. This effect stacks.
  • Bloody frenzy: Ursoc enters a state of Mighty Rage with 30% health remaining, increasing attack speed by 20% and damage dealt by 25%.

Strategy

The match against Ursoc is a relatively simple match, but one that will put our group to the test; what is known as a "Gear Check".

Before starting the match, we will assign two groups of players who will be in charge of intercepting Ursoc's cargo. In our case we leave two groups of 5 players ready, since they are enough to distribute the damage of this ability and we get that the minimum number of players have to move.

We have to take into account that the players who intercept a charge will win the debuff of Inertia, which implies that they will not be able to intercept two consecutive charges; For this reason we will be exchanging, first charge group A, second charge group B and so on until the end of the fight.

We will begin the meeting with the players of group A already positioned on one of the boss's rear legs, while the rest of the raid is positioned at the level of the belly.

Random players will be pinned with Focused gaze throughout the meeting; To avoid misunderstandings by the nerves of the moment, the position of the fixer will always be the same, run and get as far as possible from Ursoc's hind leg. As we have already said, the group of assigned players will be placed on Ursoc's leg by intercepting the charge and receiving the Overwhelming impact.

With each charge of Ursoc it is convenient to use a healing cd, since it is a moment of damage to the entire raid, so that we will assign a rotation of cd's between our healers.

After each charge, Ursoc will use his ability Roaring cacophony. At this point the entire band should be relatively close together, within the 25 m radius. Also with each cacophony, Ursoc will leave behind an area of ​​20 meters of Miasma  we will have to leave the area as soon as possible and even advance our movement so as not to gain any tic.

This sequence will be repeated until the end of the match:

Focused gaze > Overwhelming impact >Roaring cacophony >Miasma >Roaring cacophony >Miasma  and start over.

In the case of tanks, in addition to being aware of the movement like the rest of the raid to exit the Miasma, they must reposition the boss and make him advance along the edge of the room. Meanwhile they will face the two abilities that Ursoc has in store for them, Overwhelm y Quarter.

Ursoc will be using Overwhelm y Quarter alternatively, so the tanks will have to exchange it. As a tank you can never accumulate one mark of each, since Overwhelm increases damage taken from Quarter 150% for 12 sec. So "tank A" receives Overwhelm, "tank B" calls him to rebibir Quarter, immediately "Tank A" calls Ursoc again and receives its second mark of Overwhelm. In the following sequence, Tank B will start and accumulate two Trample marks.
