Hellfire High Council- Normal and Heroic Guide

Welcome to the Hellfire High Council combat guide, fourth Chief of the new Hellfire Citadel gang.

Meeting lore

After agreeing to drink Mannoroth's blood, these three orcs gained incredible power. Deah Black Rumor a master of Void magic, she is an outcast of the Shadowmoon clan who now serves as Gul'dan's left hand. Gurtogg, proved his worth by winning in hundreds of fights, winning all but one that ended in a draw, against the Steel Master Jubei'thos, now they fight together. The three orcs serve Gul'dan as a council of war.

Hellfire High Council

Each member of the Hellfire High Council has a special attack that they will only use if they have less than 30% health. These effects will persist until the end of the encounter. So we must choose a strategy of order of defeat.

Skills

Jubei'thos

Steelmaster Jubei'thos

  • Vile Edge: Jubei'thos hurls her flaming blade, inflicting 115.287. damage to enemies it hits.
  • Avoid the path, an arrow will appear indicating it.
  • Fel Storm: Jubei'thos unleashes a fiery tempest against enemies, inflicting 13.087. Fire damage to all enemies every second for 8 sec.
  • Not avoidable.
  • Ride the wind: Jubei'thos disappears into the wind and summons reflections.
  • It will reappear after 45 seconds. or when all reflexes have been defeated, whichever comes first.
  • Defeat the reflexes within 45 seconds.
  • Reflexes: Jubei'thos summons reflections of himself.
  • It will respawn when all reflexes have been defeated or enough time has passed.

Its final hour

  • Upon reaching 30% health remaining, Jubei'thos begins to cast  Evil Strike .
  • When he dies, the images of Jubei'thos continue to haunt the players, striking them from the shadows.
  • Evil Strike: A reflection of Jubei'thos appears behind half of the players alive, dealing 87.430p. Fire damage. The damage from this effect increases over time.
  • Not avoidable.
  • When Jubei'thos dies, continue to chase players from the grave using Evil Strike until the end of the match.

Deah Black Rumor

  • Void Discharge: Deah focuses void energy on his primary target, inflicting 172.500 damage. Shadow damage.
  • Void Mist: Deah's dark presence envelops allies in a dark mist that absorbs all damage taken as long as they remain within 25 yards.
  • Keep Gurtogg and Jubei'thos separate from Deah.
  • Nightmare face: Deah transforms into a visage of nightmares and launches a barrage of attacks against his main target.
  • Mark of the Necromancer: Deah marks random enemies with the necromancer's stealth, dealing Shadow damage that increases over time. When dispelled, this effect jumps to 2 allies close to the affected player.
  • Ability to take into account as it will set the pace of the combat.
  • Reap: Deah mows all marked targets, causing his mark to burn the ground. The mark inflicts 58500 to 61500. Shadow damage to all affected enemies every second.
  • Players who have the mark when Deah is going to shoot mow should move away from the center and if possible, stick to the walls.
  • Groaning horror: Deah turns the room into darkness, inflicting 110.625. Shadow damage to all enemies every second. The darkness condenses, causing wailing horrors to appear in random locations and roam the room. These horrors will inflict 156.975 damage. Shadow damage to enemies they come in contact with.

Gurtogg Boiling Blood

  • Boiling Blood: Gurtogg causes the blood of the 5 farthest enemies to boil for 75.248. of physical damage.
  • Acid wound: Gurtogg's Vile Ailment infects his current target's wounds, inflicting Nature damage every 2 seconds. and reduces armor by 100. Stacks up to 60 times and lasts 30 seconds.
  • Vile rage: Gurtogg suffers a vile rage and focuses on a random enemy. Disgusting fel energy runs through his veins, granting additional defense. Successfully executed melee attacks will cause Gurtogg to increase his attack speed by 10% on all difficulty levels except Raid Finder.
  • Use your defensive CDs if you are the target of this ability and unload all your damage on Gurtogg.
  • Furia: Damage dealt increased by 10%. This effect stacks.
  • Not avoidable.
  • Demolishing jump: Gurtogg wreaks destruction throughout the room, inflicting 350.000. physical damage to players, depending on the proximity of the impact.
  • Stay away from areas marked for impact.

Its final hour

  • Upon reaching 30% health remaining, Gurtogg begins casting Corrupted Blood until he is defeated.
  • Corrupted Blood: Gurtogg corrupts the blood of his enemies and limits the value of their maximum health by 10% per application. This effect stacks and persists until the end of the encounter.

Strategy

As we said before, the mechanics of the encounter will be conditioned by the special ability of each boss at their final hour, 30% health; for this, we must choose an order of defeat. We have chosen the following:

Gurtogg> Jubei'thos> Deah

Before starting the meeting, we must assign a tank for Deah and another for Gurtogg and Jubei'thos, each one will be placed on one side of the room leaving a minimum of 25 m between them. This placement is to prevent Gurtogg and Jubei'thos from being affected by the ability Void Mist, which will launch Deah.

The band will be located in the central circle of the room, but not in the center if not on one of the edges, having enough range to hurt bosses but, without being too far from the walls. This is to be able to escape and reach the wall, when we are the target of Reap.

At the beginning of the encounter, we will lower the life of the three bosses equally to approximately 40% and we will deal with all their normal abilities, so we must know how to react to each of them. Next we will explain how to behave before each skill by bosses, although remember the skills of each one will be interspersed and will not appear in this order.

Gurtogg Boiling Blood

  • The tank that this orc has will take a lot of damage due to the ability Acid wound.
  • Gurtogg will pin a player with Vile rage, he must use damage reduction CDs (if we have a Paladin in band it is convenient that he use Protection Hand on this player) and do dps in Gurtogg, although at that moment it is not the objective that we are lowering, as long as this does not imply phasing the clear boss. In addition, this player must move away from the tank that had it, so that after 25 seconds, the ability lasts Vile rage, the boss takes 5 more seconds to return to his original position, and the tank that had it has a total of 30 seconds to clean itself of Acid wound.
  • Gurtogg will also perform his Demolishing jumpWhen this happens, we must move as far as possible from the marked area.

Steelmaster Jubei'thos

  • Avoid the path of Vile Edge, an arrow will appear indicating it.
  • Quickly defeat the Reflexes of Jubei'thos, when he uses Ride the wind. It is convenient for the casters to take care of the farthest ones so that the melés can take better advantage of their dps.

Deah Black Rumor

  • The tank that has this killer whale will take a lot of damage from the abilities Void Discharge y Nightmare face. La Void Discharge It can be interrupted avoiding damage to the tank, so if we see it necessary, we will assign a melee to help you. With the skill Nightmare face, the tank will have to use its CDs, since the damage is very high.
  • Random players will receive the Mark of the Necromancer by Deah, this ability deals shadow damage that increases over time, must be dispelled by the healers before the target dies and when they do, the mark will jump to two additional targets.
  • Here the role of the healers will be crucial since they must know when to dispel so that the targets do not die, we recommend doing it when the debuf is in yellow and also, never dispelling if there are less than 5 seconds to go Reap. This has a double explanation, on the one hand the player who had the mark will already be close to the wall and will have stopped doing dps at all when it is dispelled, and on the other hand that mark will jump to two players who have not moved from the center of the room, so we will find a puddle in a very annoying place until the end of the fight.
  • Deah will use Reap every minute approximately, all players who have the  Mark of the Necromancer at that time they must run towards the walls, so that the area that this ability will leave when eliminating the Mark of the Necromancer stay as far away as possible. Keep in mind that this mechanic is repeated until the end of the fight and if it is not done well we can end up without a room.
  • Deah's last normal ability to watch out for is Groaning horror, Deah joins in the darkness and does area damage to the entire band, also summons Horrors that will fly over the room, we must avoid his path so that the damage received is not lethal.

Final hour

Once we have the bosses at 40% life, we will phase them and eliminate them one by one. The first to face his destiny will be Gurtogg, once we have it at 30% we will throw the Heroism to defeat him in the shortest time possible, since Gurtogg will use Corrupted Blood over all players, we will earn a mark every 15 seconds that will persist until the end of the match.

Once Gurtogg is dead we will go down to Jubei'thos, which will begin to attack the players with Evil Strike, this effect persists after death.

Finally we will face Deah, who will be overwhelmed by the darkness and will apply Mark of the Necromancer half of all remaining enemies, but consumed by her madness, she will stop using  Reap.
