Lord Vil Zakuun

Zakuun alternates between attacking with his ax and throwing it to the ground to fight with his fists, modifying his abilities in the process. Throughout the encounter, Zakuun attempts to form Fel Crystals, though players can avoid this process by absorbing the energy themselves. In either case, some Zakuun abilities will generate a massive explosion when hitting a crystal or player that has absorbed latent energy.

Skills

Encounter mechanics

Latent energy: The target accumulates unstable energy. If it is struck by a Wake of Destruction or enters a resonant fissure, all that energy will be released.

  • Unleashed energy: Latent energies on the target explode for 107.590. Fire damage to all players.

Destructive forces: Several of the Fel Lord's abilities generate an explosion if they hit a player with Latent Energy.

  • Wake of destruction: Launches a trail of destruction that will explode when it reaches its target or when it comes into contact with any player or a fel crystal.
  • - Wake of destruction: Trail of Destruction explodes on contact, inflicting 151.246. Shadow damage to all players within 3 yards. All latent energies in the area will be released.
  • Ring of Destruction: A ring of destruction rapidly expands, dealing Shadow damage to all enemies in its path. Jump on the ring to avoid taking damage.

Fissures and crystals: Zakuun creates resonant fissures in the nearby ground. If no one gets into a resonant fissure to absorb it, it forms a Fel Crystal.

  • Resonant fissure: The caster creates a fel energy fissure at the location that will remain active until a player is within its confines for 5 sec. Players who do so will be affected by Latent Energy. The last resonant fissure to appear after any other has been absorbed, it will immediately transform into a vile crystal.
  • Fel Crystal: A fel crystal infused with latent energy emerges from the rift. Staying near the fel crystal inflicts 50.415 on the target. Fire damage every 1 sec.
  • While the crystal is active, it inflicts 9.075. Fire damage to all players every 3 sec.

Armed> Disarmed> Enrage

Armed

At the beginning of the fight, Zakuun is armed with his ax. While armed, Zakuun punches slowly and hits a single target with his melee attacks.

Slit soul: Inflicts 264.680 p. Shadow damage to the target. The victims are affected by Soul Cracked and become disembodied.

  • Incorporeal: The victim's soul is separated from his body and enters the Shadow Realm. When the victim returns to the mortal realm, he leaves an orb of residual energy in the Shadow Realm. Any latent energy in the victim remains in the Shadow realm.
  • In heroic and mythical difficulties, when the victim re-enters the mortal realm, Wakes of Destruction are unleashed.
  • Cracked soul: The victim's defenses are weakened, increasing Shadow damage taken by 50% for 1.50 yards.
  • Residual energy: When a player leaves the Shadow Realm, they leave residual energy and will continually unleash Wakes of Destruction o Rings of destruction.

Cavitation: The caster swings his ax and hurls Wakes of Destruction at random enemies.

Infected: Absorbs healing received by targets affected by Infect. By absorbing enough healing, an Infect Explosion will be unleashed.

  • Deflagration infects: Latent Shadow energies are unleashed, exploding for 252.077. Shadow damage to other players within 6 yards.

Disarmed

zakuun throws his ax to the target location, digging into the ground and punishing the gang with Vile Explosions. While it is disarmed, Zakuun attacks with his fists, has a Heavy Hand and gains 30% haste.

  • Vile Explosions: The Fel Lord activates the power of his ax, unleashing a violent blast of Fel energy every 3 seconds. which inflicts 62.071. Fire damage to all players over 30 sec.
  • Firm hand: The caster uses Heavy Hand and all his attacks hit the next closest target. If it doesn't find any, it hits the starting target again.
  • Seed of destruction: The caster chooses 5 targets and causes them to emit 8 Wakes of Destruction after 5 s.

Infuriate

The vile lord enrages, causing his ax to unleash Vile Explosions while holding it. Additionally, the Vile Lord is now heavily armed.

  • Heavily armed: The caster uses Heavy Hand and all his attacks hit the next closest target. If it doesn't find any, it hits the starting target again.

Strategy

The dynamics of this encounter will be the same throughout the combat as far as normal abilities are concerned, with the addition of the three states or phases available to this Chief, Armed, Disarmed and Enrage; These will change the mechanics of the tanks and add increasing damage to the encounter.

The tanks along with the melee will be placed in a corner of the room, leaving the distance for casters and healers together, since in this encounter we will have to take advantage of area healing.

Let's see how to behave before each skill:

  • As soon as the encounter begins, Vile Lord Zakuun will launch Resonant fissure, we must cover them to prevent them from arising Fel Crystal, placing ourselves on top of them and absorbing their energy. A Fel Crystal will arise from one of the Resonant fissure and it will damage the entire band depending on the distance, so it is recommended to leave the furthest to the band or the closest to another uncovered Fel Crystal previous.
  • Players who have absorbed the energy from the rifts will be affected by Latent energy, this debuf lasts 1 minute, which means that they cannot re-enter a fissure while they have it. These players must also be especially careful with destructive forces, since coming into contact with a Wake of destruction o Ring of Destruction, the latent energy will be unleashed (Unleashed energy) dealing area damage to the entire raid.
  • We will assign a rotation of players who have a good mitigation CD as well as the Deterrence  of the Hunter, to intercept the Wake of destruction, so that it does not impact against the players marked with Latent energy.
  • To avoid Ring of Destruction We simply have to get out of its path or jump in its path.

Armed

At the beginning of the encounter we will find Lord Vile Armed so he will only hit a target or main tank, for which a special mechanic is reserved.

This first target tank will be attacked with Slit soul, being affected by Cracked soul and going to state Incorporeal, or what is the same, plunged into the kingdom of shadows. When he leaves it he will leave an orb of residual energy, with which he will meet in his next entry and also will continuously unleash Wake of destruction o Ring of Destruction upon leaving the Shadow Realm.

The rest of the band will have to face the normal skills that we explained above and also Cavitation which will do random damage, e Infected, the players affected by this ability must move 6 m apart. from the rest, as they will otherwise deal a large amount of area damage,Deflagration infects.

Disarmed

When it enters this phase, we will still have to deal with the normal skills of the encounter but a couple of mechanics will change.

The tanks should be placed together, in the style of The Butcher of Highmaul, since the boss will gain the skill Firm hand, gaining 30% haste and dealing a double attack on the primary target, if it doesn't find a second target to hit.

Dps and healers should be on the lookout for ability Seed of destruction, with which he will mark 5 random targets that must be separated from the band quickly, since after 5 seconds they will explode emitting Wake of destruction

In this phase we will have to chain healing CDs to cover the 30 seconds of massive damage that the entire band will receive. Zakuun's weapon emits Vile Explosions every 3 s. inflicted inflicts 62.071. Fire damage to all players

Infuriate

Upon reaching 30% health, Fel Lord Zakuun Infuriate, emitting Vile Explosions of his weapon while wielding it and he will also happen to be Highly Armed, causing him to use Heavy Hand.

That is to say, this third and last phase is, as far as damage is concerned, a sum of the previous ones, for this reason here we will throw the Heroism, making this phase last as short as possible.
