tectus, ancient personification of chaotic forces who shaped the terrain of Draenor, has been manipulated and enslaved by the maddened Pale Orcs, who barely maintain control over this mighty force of nature.

Tectus, the Living Mountain

Tectus begins the battle fully formed in a single being and will confront us with this series of abilities:

  • Earthen pillar: Tectus makes an earthen pillar sprout from the ground. After several seconds of encounter, the pillar will emerge from the target location and kill all the Judators still there. Tectus uses this ability when he reaches 25p. of anger.
  • We must quickly leave the marked area or we will die, the pillar will remain in time, so that we will not be able to occupy the same position again, for this we will set a rotating direction so that the entire band moves together.
  • Crystalline Barrage: Tectus creates a cloud of crystalline leaves that move towards a target player. Players who enter the Crystalline Leaf Cloud will be awarded 39.560. (normal) /55.364 p. (heroic) physical damage every second they remain in the cloud.
  • A side will be pre-assigned so that the players marked by the barrage move away from the group without damaging the rest of the band.
  • Fracture: Tectus causes a short ground spike to shoot out of the ground, inflicting 89.891 damage. /125.827 p. Nature damage to players where the spike arises and knocks them back.
  • We must deviate a bit from the marked area but we can retake the position once the pillar emerges.
  • Enhancement: Tectus periodically absorbs nearby dirt into his body, increasing the damage he deals by 5%. This effect stacks. Dealing damage to Tectus removes his stacks of Augmentation.
  • The living mountainTectus is impossible to kill while under the effects of Living Mountain. He will periodically gain energy, and the rate of gain will increase as he loses health. The Living Mountain's power is consumed each time Tectus channels Tetonic Upheaval, leaving him vulnerable to destruction.
  • Tectonic upheaval: Tectus unleashes his accumulated seismic instability on the ground, creating a massive series of earthquakes that inflict 21.642 damage. /30.198 p. Nature damage to all players. If Tectus's health drops during Tectonic Upheaval, he will be shattered.
  • At this moment we must end the life of Tectus, so we will have to have managed to bring it down in time.

Shard of Tectus

When it's shattered the remains of Tectus will form two Shards of Tectus. Tectus Skiers have the same abilities as Tectus, but individually deal less damage.

Shard of Tectus maintains ability Mountain fragment equal to The living mountain.

Tectus Speck

When they have been shattered, the remains of each Shard of Tectus will form four Motes of Tectus. It is not necessary to tear the Motes of Tectus to pieces. Players will have defeated Tectus when they have finished off all of the Motes of Tectus.

Mountain fragment: Motes of Tectus can be killed directly, but they still gain energy and cast Tectonic Upheaval upon reaching 100. of energy.

Pale altered by shadows

As long as Tectus is fully formed, a pale altered by the shadows will attack the players to try to enter the combat, which will strengthen Tectus.

Shadow-Altered Earth Disruptor 

Earthly Explosive Darts: Extract explosive earth darts from the ground, inflicting 125.827. /176.157 p. Nature damage to all enemy players in a cone in front of the trauma.

Gift of earth: Creates a spiral vortex of earth in an attempt to empower Tectus. If the vortex reaches Tectus, it will gain 10 stacks of Enhancement. Players can intercept the vortex. If they do, they receive 183204 p. /265.183 p. of physical damage and are affected by Petrification.

  • In case this minion lasts too long we must interrupt this ability, the tank will be in charge, since it will be affected by petrification.
  • Petrification: A player's skin begins to turn to stone after intercepting the Gift of Earth. A player's movement speed is reduced by 2%, and Tectus absorbs his petrification when he makes a melee attack against them, granting him stacks of Augment and healing him.

Rabid altered by shadows

 Savage assault: The Berserker is affected by a transitory insanity and forgets his current objective, eliminating any threats, and pouncing on a random player. The Berserker inflicts 53.199 damage. /74.498 p. physical damage to targets caught in the path of the run.

Summary

Tectus cannot be killed by traditional means. It accumulates energy, which channels Tectonic upheaval when it reaches 100 p. If Tectus's health is depleted before the Upheaval ends, he splits into two Tectus Shards; otherwise, Tectus heals and continues to gain energy. Each Shard splits into four Motes of Tectus when shattered. Players must take down all eight Motes to defeat Tectus.

Strategy

At the beginning of the match and throughout the match, the distances and healers will form a single group, placing us at the maximum distance from tanks and melés. The latter will be placed to the right of the boss, taking the distance vision as a reference. This is very important so that they do not die from the cloud that leaves crystal waterspout.

First phase, The Living Mountain

Positioning in Tectus

A tank will have to take care of the two adds that appear to help Tectus, the Distorter and the Berserker altered by shadows, while the other will have Tectus in the middle of the room. He will place them near the distances so that they eliminate them as quickly as possible but, with his back to them, to avoid the damage caused by Explosive darts.

As long as the adds are active, our focus priority will be the Shadow-Altered Distorter, then the Shadow-altered Berserker, to whom we will pay special attention to avoid Wild jump, and finally Tectus.

Depending on the Dps available to the band, we will kill only the first round of adds, since the second will coincide with the Tectonic upheaval, at which point we will focus all our damage on Tectus to end him without healing. If we succeed and the adds are pending, We will use the time it takes for the two Shards of Tectus to leave to finish them off.

Meanwhile Tectus will launch his abilities which will make us move around doing a rotating movement. In our case and as you can see in the video guide, those marked by the Crystal Barrage will always go left and the rest of the distances and healers will continue together, advancing to the right to avoid the earthly pillars and fractures.

Phase Two, Shards of Tectus

We will continue with the initial placement of the band and the spinning movement to avoid the skills. At this time we have two objectives so that we will mark one as the main one and we will reduce the life of the secondary somewhat by taking advantage of the residual damage in the areas. Once we finish with the first Shard of Tectus, its four Motes will appear.

Stage Three, Motes of Tectus

In this phase we will take the opportunity to throw the Heroism, since we will have many active objectives at the same time, and we will have to shorten this in time as much as possible, so that the situation does not get out of control. We will mark one of the Motas as the main objective, then another and so on until we finish with four.

Finally we will kill the Shard that we had left from the previous phase and the last four Motes will come out. Once we finish with them we will have defeated Tectus.
