Blackwing Descent

Blackwing Descent is a level 85 introductory raid. Having retreated from Blackwing Lair, Nefarian has been gathering his forces here and must be stopped once more, before he becomes too powerful. The entrance to this raid is near the Throne of Nefarian and you have to use a flying mount from outside the mountain of black rock to access it.
Together with Throne of the Four Winds y The Bastion of Twilight, this raid dungeon is intended to serve as introductory content for World of Warcraft: Cataclysm.
This complex is part of Blackrock Mountain and is occupied by the Black Dragonflight and some Dark Iron Dwarves who appear to have forged an alliance with the forces of Deathwing and Ragnaros.
The dungeon is divided into two parts with different encounters. In the Split Chamber, we will have Magmamaw to the left and the Omnitron defense system on the right. It is necessary to end these two encounters to be able to advance to the next area, the Vault of the Shadow Flame where Maloriak, Chimareon and Atramedes are located.
After all encounters have been defeated, Lord Victor Nefarius will appear in the center of the Vault.

Heroic Mode Guide: Nefarian

Nefarian appears to have been brought back to life through methods and for an unknown purpose and is hiding in Blackwing Rest. He has continued his experiments with Maloriak bringing results like Chimaeron, atramedes and the resuscitation of his sister, Onyxia.

Heroic Mode Guide: Chimaeron

From the door of the room, the brave adventurers glimpse a creature guarding someone locked in a box. The creature appears asleep, and has 2 and a half heads. A scream scares you, it is the voice of a gnome that says: "Don't stay there, save me!" it seems that Finkle Einhorn has gotten into trouble.

With the help of the Bilistron 800 we can defeat Chimaeron, a creature that has changed over time with Blackwing's experiments.

Heroic Mode Guide: Maloriak

Maloriak he is one of the bosses of the Blackwing Descent, and can be found in the eastern part of the Vault of the Shadowflame.

He is a "scientific" servant of Nefarian and, unlike Professor Putricide, has a tendency to fail in his experiments. One of his failed experiments is that of the blind dragon, atramedes, which serves Blackwing as well.

Killing Maloriak in heroic mode will give us the title, Disappointing, incompetent and stupid minion killer, for 30 minutes.

Heroic Mode Guide: Atramedes

You come to a room surrounded by Gongs and a huge bell at the end of the room. Before you know it, a terrible roar terrifies your hearts and, after regaining your composure, you understand that before you is a beast that you have never seen before. A dragon with elementium plates and with its eyes covered, what problem can a blind dragon pose?

Atramedes is blind, but as you will soon discover, he does not need eyes to discover where you are and end your unhappy existence. Despite being a failed Maloriak experiment, it is Blackwing's deadly weapon.

Heroic Mode Guide: Magmaw / Magmaw

In what appears to be a broken room, which has gradually given way to Lava, a huge beast never seen before appears. A lava worm that has no intention of letting players pass beyond this room. The mission of this Nefarian pet is to reduce us to ashes.

Heroic Mode Guide: Omnitron Defense System / Omnotron Defense System

As we move further into the Blackwing Descent, our party will encounter a group of seemingly inanimate Golems. As we get closer, the machinery will activate and one of the Golems will come back to life.

"Omnitron defense system activated" is heard echoing in the echo of the dungeon...
