For those of you who plan in the long term, we wanted to inform you about some of the contests that we are preparing for BlizzCon 2013. This is going to be a great year for community creativity again - some of your favorite contests are back, and the winner of the BlizzCon 2013 costume contest will win a very special prize. Later we will offer complete information on rules, guidelines, who can participate, etc. But in the meantime, here's a little more than you can expect to help jump-start your imagination.

The art contest is back! We can't wait to see your stunning original creations based on the Blizzard universes, there's no better time than now to dream up your next masterpiece in hopes of having it on display at Blizzcon (and winning fabulous prizes).

We're looking forward to another brilliant selection of original videos based on Blizzard games. Whether it's recorded live, animated, fully digital, or a combination, we can't wait to see what you come up with.

BlizzCon 2013 Costume Contest

The costume contest makes its triumphant return! At every new BlizzCon you raise the bar with amazing costumes, and we're confident this event will be no exception. When you start contemplating what you want to create, keep in mind that your safety is the most important thing. This means that whatever costume you want to wear should be something that you can easily detach and so you can safely maneuver without any outside help. Also, no real weapons, hazardous materials, or large motorized costumes will be allowed.

We will have all the details on all the upcoming BlizzCon contests soon, including the full guide, rules, and eligibility requirements, so please wait before starting your creations. Official registrations will begin in the coming months as well, so stay tuned to the BlizzCon website.
