Raid Finder Rules and Loot Sharing System 4.3

ninja-loot-wow

Do you have questions about the loot distribution system that will be implemented with patch 4.3? Do you think this system will prevent potential loot thieves like the ones we found so far throughout Azheroth? We bring you a brief explanation by Benzenn (moderator of the Hispanic community in the battle.net forums) with which we hope to solve your doubts.

To clear up questions about loot distribution in the Raid Finder system, we've made some changes to how loot shots work when using the Need Before Greed system in the Raid Finder. When using the raid finder for the Dragon Soul raid instance, those players whose selected class role (tank, healer, or damage) matches the class role of a piece of weaponry or weapon, will receive +100 towards their shot of necessity. For the purposes of this test, your current role is defined as the class role you are assigned to when you defeat a boss. Sounds a bit confusing? I hope not, but this is how it will work:

    • A boss dies and rolls an EPIC TANK ITEM.
    • One magician in the group yawns, clicks the "greed" button, and rolls a 98.
    • One Fury warrior in the group wants to tank, makes a "need" roll, and receives a 64.
  • Both tanks want the item. Tank # 1 makes a shot of 12 and tank # 2 makes a shot of 7.

What happens then?

Since the magician made a greed shot, it will not be considered. The Fury warrior's shot was higher than the tanks, but he was at DPS when the boss died and the item is marked for tank, so his shot of 64 is still 64 out of a possible 100. In contrast, the Tank # 1 and Tank # 2 receive 100 bonus points for their shot because they were tank when the boss died and made a shot for an object marked for the tank role. That means tank # 1 made a shot of 112 out of a total of 200 and tank # 2 made a shot of 107 out of a total of 200. Tank # 1 wins the item! If a shot received a bonus, that bonus will be clearly displayed in the chat window.

Please note that, at least for now, the system will only take into account the class role and not the specialization. Also, this bonus not only works with tank items; applies to tanking, damage, and healing items, and some items will be marked for more than one class role. For starters, only items in the Dragon Soul raid will be marked in such a way for class roles (although all raid items will be marked for more than one role). As you probably imagined, all the rules of need before greed will remain the same, which means that these shot bonuses do not override the standard class and use restrictions. The information windows for the raid items will not reflect which class roles will receive the firing bonuses, however it should be obvious based on the stats and item type.

We are also considering expanding this system to incorporate it into the new patch 4.3 dungeons, however, it is not likely to be incorporated into previous dungeons or raids at this time. Also note that this system is new and there may be additional changes prior to its release with Raid Finder in Patch 4.3.

The measure is fine, which surely some smartass can try to change his role in the middle of the boss (if it is possible) and could choose to ninjear. Or the assigned role may be changed in a moment and if nobody notices it, they can also choose the loot in question. It is a bit contradictory, but the idea is not bad.

I suppose that the role is determined by the talents you have at the moment the combat begins, which therefore (when in combat) you cannot change

The role of each one will be determined by the one we have chosen and with which we enter when entering the search engine. The raid finder is the same mechanic that is used with the dungeon finder in which you choose what you want to participate in (tank, healer and / or dps) and with which the finder calls you to arms. In summary, as shown in the example above:
"If you enter the band as dps plates you will not be eligible for plate tank objects by necessity, but by greed (offspect) although for that no one should want the object by necessity."

Example: a 2-handed ax that works for DK tanks, but also works for a Paladin dps, or a Fury Warrior, how is this considered ...

How is the theme of loot divided?
