Some go and others come ... With the announcement of the end of the Season 8 of Arenas scheduled for October 13 (12 in the US) we get the notice that Season 9 is now available in the Realms of the Cataclysm Beta.
We plan for Arena Season 8 to end on October 12. At that time, we will begin our normal process to determine who is eligible to receive end-of-season rewards; this process will take about a week. It is very important that players who believe they will receive their End of Season Titles or Relentless Gladiator's Frost Wyrm refrain from transferring their character to another realm until after the season ends.
The next season, for level 85 players, will begin approximately one week after the official launch of World of Warcraft: Cataclysm. Between the end of Season 8 and the start of the next, qualifying matches will not be available and only skirmishes will be available. When Arena Season 9 begins, team, staff, and arena score ratings will be erased; however, the match search index and honor points that have been converted to the new currency system will remain.

Season 9 of Arenas is now live and available for testing in the Cataclysm Beta.
