If you have had or have several alters, it is likely that you already knew and were looking forward to the implementation of something that has been talking for a long time: Achievements for the entire account. There are achievements that are a real headache and others that it is not necessary to earn with all the characters. In many groups they ask for Achievements to enter the band and, maybe you do not have it because you are trying to equip another character.
It was something that was discussed during BlizzCon and now, Wryxian, confirms that it is something they are still working on but that it will take a long time.

We like the idea of account-wide achievements, and we've been fond of it for a long time. However, we currently do not have the means to implement them as we would like, and we probably will not have them for quite some time.
Professions or reputations that affect the entire account are not on our to-do list. If we thought about it, we would have to carefully consider a similar change as it would potentially favor those who like to play multiple alternate characters. Those who prefer to play with only one character may not see it as fair.
