With the arrival of Cataclysm, many mounts are going to disappear. Some, the most logical, are those of Zul'Gurub and others… many of us wondered what would happen. Blizzard has provided a comprehensive list of mounts that will disappear (or change) with the arrival of Patch 4.0.3
As we have mentioned on our "In development" page (http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/na/info/underdev/), Patch 4.0.3 will bring devastation, a cataclysmic event that will change the face of Azeroth forever. As we prepare to increase the level cap and add two new races to the Cataclysm expansion, it is important to keep in mind that the world is undergoing major changes that will affect the availability of certain mounts and rare items.
Swift Zulian Tiger
In patch 4.0.3, Zul'Gurub will no longer be a raid and will become an area where they will level up, so this mount will no longer be available.
Raptor Razzashi Swift
After the Zul'Gurub change, this mount will also be unavailable.
Razzashi Hatchling
With the Zul'Gurub change, this vanity pet will no longer be available.
Tome of Polymorph: Turtle
This writing will continue to be available but in other ways.
Crusader's White / Black Warhorse and Swift Alliance Steed / Swift Horde Wolf
Since the Tribute system of the Trial of the Crusader in Heroic mode, which has a limited number of attempts per week, will no longer appear, the Argent Crusade Tribute Chest will no longer appear and, therefore, it will no longer be possible to obtain these mounts .
Reins of the Blue Drake
This can be obtained again after defeating Malygos in the Eye of Eternity for 10 players without the need to use the Dungeon Finder. The Reins of the Azure Drake can only be obtained from the Eye of Eternity for 25 players.
Mimiron head
This mount will have a very low chance to fall after defeating Yogg'Saron for 25 players without the help of any Watchers.
Reins of Invincible
This will have a very low chance of falling after defeating the Lich King in Heroic mode in Icecrown Citadel for 25 players.
While we have no plans to introduce new methods of obtaining Tribute mounts, pets, and mounts, they will likely return as soon as we find a suitable location in the future.
