MVP Show Comes to Battle.net

Little by little, everything we had in wow-europe is moving to its new home on Battle.net. From the World of Warcraft official blog From the community team, we get an interesting news about the MVP «Most Valuable Posters». In Spain, although we have had several, we only have Proenix left for now so we hope to see soon new news about new members of the MVP program.

As the new World of Warcraft Community Page begins to look more like home, it's time to launch our Community MVP program to help us welcome everyone to this pleasant place.

The 'greens' from the old forums have already arrived, and hopefully we'll be recruiting some more soon. The MVP program is constantly developing and we are looking for more passionate forum enthusiasts who not only have a special place in their hearts for World of Warcraft, but also enjoy chatting about the gameplay and story with the rest of the community. Ideal candidates should be well versed in the art of approaching forum posts and blog comments constructively, sharing advice and information whenever possible. We are looking to fill in the MVP gaps with a broad spectrum of personalities and people with varying degrees of experience and game focuses.

MVPs are not employees of Blizzard Entertainment. Instead, they are recognized members of the community with strong social skills and understanding of the game. Do you think you have what it takes? No request is necessary. Just head over to the forums if you're interested and show us that you are a dedicated WoW gamer with the idea of helping make this community the best it can be.

To find out more about the show, check out the legendary MVP Q&A below.

After the jump you have a series of questions and answers. Who do you think would do a good job of MVP on the forums?

Q. Why was the MVP program created?

R. In many cases, the answers to questions posed on the forums have already been provided by Blizzard Entertainment employees, or are common knowledge of many people in the community. However, responses from other players sometimes go unnoticed as the creator of the message searches for a more official response.

In order to correct this, we have created a program that has been very successful in other Blizzard forums: the MVP (Most Valuable Poster) program. Identified MVPs who consistently and accurately answer questions from other players are given a distinctive text color. Add a note of credibility to what they write; It allows players seeking answers to take what they say with courage, and it frees up Blizzard representatives to focus on their other responsibilities.

Q. What does an MVP do?

R. MVPs promote constructive messages wherever they can. They contribute to the community and encourage polite discussion on the forums. When you see an MVP write, pay attention to what they have to say, they have also been chosen for their knowledge of the game.

Q. Why didn't you choose _____, who always makes constructive comments on topic X?

R. Please understand that MVPs are not intended to be community representatives on a specific topic; They are not chosen for their ability to critique game mechanics and give feedback, although they can (and many do). Community team members continue to be the vehicle through which you should send your comments by writing in the forums and blog comments. We do not have a representative system for a class, faction or aspect of the game at this time and we would prefer to hear feedback from all players rather than a few.

Q. Why aren't MVPs gladiators or kingslayers?

R. You don't have to be an expert in a particular aspect of the game to answer most forum questions clearly and accurately. You do not need a specific number of achievement points in order to direct players to the appropriate section of the website for their question, or link to an answer already given by Blizzard. MVPs are selected primarily for their demonstrated ability to communicate and outreach to the community, and while some of them may also be top players in one or more aspects of the game, it is not a requirement.

Q. How can I become an MVP?

R. Keep writing constructively, answering questions about the game, and encouraging chatter on the forums, and we'll find out. Also be sure to follow the Code of Conduct!
