Blizzard has unveiled a new trailer for the upcoming expansion. This time he brings us information about the Reforge System.
A magic originally brought to the inhabitants of Azeroth by the Highborne, the Reforge will provide a new way for players to customize their gear in World of Warcraft: Cataclysm. NPCs located in all major cities will offer Reforge services, ready to help with customizing items by altering the attributes they provide. Players can use Reforge to modify an item's attribute values, or to undo any previous changes and allow different customization selections.
You can read all the progress after the jump or in the Official Site from Blizzard.
What is considered an attribute
All the attributes present in performance-enhancing objects fall into two categories: primary and secondary. In Cataclysm, the primary attributes are Stamina, Intellect, Strength, and Agility. These attributes are considered defined and cannot be altered through reforging. However, most secondary attributes can be altered. The secondary attributes that can be altered through reforging are Spirit, Hit Rating, Expertise Rating, Critical Strike Rating, Haste Rating, Mastery Rating, Parry Rating, and Dodge Rating. Any of these secondary attributes can be adjusted and added through Reforge NPCs.
Reforged objects
The act of reforging is fairly straightforward and will allow players to customize gear to their liking. In order to take advantage of this feature, the player needs to speak to a Reforge NPC in any major city and provide them with the item to be reforged. Objects to be reforged have to be level 200 or higher; You can find the item level by activating the option in the Show section in the interface options. After choosing an item to reforge, the player can choose a secondary attribute that is already present in it and relocate approximately 40% of it to another secondary attribute of their choice. The cost of the reforge is the sale price of the item. Some restrictions may apply, you can only reforge a secondary attribute on the same item, and you cannot increase an attribute that is already present on the item. However, you can undo the attribute cast and pay to reform it again. This is especially useful for maintaining important attributes for your character as you acquire new items and abilities, and change talents.
Putting it into practice
Let's say you want to reforge Apocalypse Outpost (level 271). You like the critical hit rating on the item, but you don't need the 70 hit rating it provides. You can visit a Reforge NPC in any major city, place the item in the Reforge window, and select to reduce the hit rating so you can add another secondary attribute for less than 14 gold (the item's sale price). You can select any attribute less critical hit rating, since that is already present in the boots. So you may want to increase your Mastery Rating. When you select the attribute from the drop-down list and confirm the purchase, the hit rating of the item will be reduced to 42, and 28 will be added. of mastery index. If at any time you change your mind and want to alter the reforged attribute, you can undo the decision on the reforged NPC, restoring the item to its original attributes. An item's primary attributes will always dictate what classes and talents an item is for, but with reforging, you can match secondary attributes to make them better fit your character's needs. Reforging is yet another option for customizing your gear. The choice is all yours!
Surprising post. Thanks for sharing ... I hope more ...
