Using a post From the MVP Proenix, we learned that another improvement has been announced when it comes to grouping players in the Battlefields, eliminating the limitation of Battle Groups. This new feature is expected to be active with the release of the next expansion, Cataclysm.
At this time we hope that both normal battlegrounds and rated battlegrounds can be joined between kingdoms (within a region) for the launch of Cataclysm. Thus, players will be able to queue from anywhere in North America (for example) to take part in a battle against players from any North American battle group. This applies to all regions, not just North America.
