News of Resurrection in Combat

With the arrival of the next expansion comes news in the mechanics that we know from Resurrection in Combat. Benzenn clarifies it to us from the forums.

The design of the combat resurrection effects has changed quite a bit for Cataclysm and we want to make sure that players are aware of how spells such as Reborn and Create Soulstone work; Reborn has a 10-minute cooldown and Create Soulstone has a 15-minute cooldown. You can only use one of these resurrection spells in combat per attempt in 10-player raid boss fights (i.e. only one Reborn or Soul Stone). In contrast, you can use three forms of resurrection per attempt in 25-player raid boss fights (you can use any combination of Reborn and Soul Stone). The count will be increased when a player accepts the resurrection, so they will always have the option to reject it if they want another player to be resurrected. There is no equivalent to the Sated debuff (which tracks the use of Bloodlust and Heroism), however, you will receive an error message when attempting to resurrect too many players; In addition, if there is enough demand, it is possible that we will incorporate into our raid interface the ability to keep track of the number of players who have been resurrected. Outside of the raid content, you can use whatever resurrections you have available.

For those of you currently participating in the World of Warcraft: Cataclysm beta test, please note that this functionality may not have been added yet. If you find that Resurrection in Combat does not work as mentioned here, the purpose of this message is to provide you with information regarding the purpose of its design.

What do you think of these changes?
