Legion Hunter Changes - Advances

hunter in legion

Welcome to the Legion class preview. In these articles we will post the changes that will be applied to classes in the next expansion. It's up to us to get to know the Hunter in Legion better.

One of Legion's goals is to differentiate between class specs, so almost all of them have been modified and hundreds of new talents will be added, many of them unique to each spec.

Hunter in Legion

Hunters have three distinct specializations, but they actually share the same fantasy: they are experts at tracking their prey, shooting enemies from afar with bows and firearms, taming wild beasts, and catching animals. unsuspecting enemies. For Legion, Blizzard wants to better differentiate the three specs, hence the changes to be made to each spec.

Beasts

Beastmasters are drawn to the dangerous primeval world, whose dangerous and untamed nature fills them with energy.

Beast hunters are in a good position when it comes to damage, but their skills and talents will be adjusted to better differentiate them from other hunters. They will stop focusing so much on their Cobra Shot to pay more attention to their pet, something a good beastmaster should logically do, so now Dire Beast is a fundamental part of beast mastery in order to contribute to the accumulation focus

Survival

What defines hunting is ruthless ferocity, the need to look the enemy directly in the eye to survive.

The Survival hunters are one of the classes that will change the most in Legion, they become hunters with melee weapons and with pets. They will be able to slow and bleed their enemies and are the only ones of their kind that will retain the characteristic traps of the hunters. They have no direct control over focus feedback; instead, they stack it up using successive Mongoose Bites to further amplify the damage they deal.

  • Aimed Shot
    • 50 p. focus, 40 m range, 1,5 s cast.
    • A powerful precision shot that deals heavy physical damage.
  • Mastery: Sniper Training
    • Critical strike damage and range for all shots are increased by 12,5% (with Mastery granted by a medium-level team).

Also, so you can see how they can be combined with some of the talents, here is an example of one of the specific Marksmanship talents:

  • Lock and load
    • Passive
    • Adds an explosive charge to Aimed Shot that deals a lot of extra Fire damage to the target and all targets within 4 yards.
