We continue with the images of the development of World of Warcraft, if you have always thought how they were early builds of the game or how something developed, do not miss any of the following captures.
One of the first screenshots of World of Warcraft while it was being developed.
Cairne Bloodhoof's birthday.
The ruins of Lordaeron. Originally, the Undercity was to be Lordaeron but with the human buildings destroyed. But the designers wanted to create a kit of buildings and architecture of the undead, from which the Undercity came.
August 12, 2004. Onyxia's birthday. The final model was not complete yet. Roman Kenney would later create the final model that was added to the game. Me (the one who showed these images) put Onyxia in the game and Geoff Goodman designed the showdown.
The first raid in the entire history of World of Warcraft to Molten Core. Magma Core was intended to be released later. What I mean is that only Onyxia was going to be our raid content when we launched the game. The area had been designed by John Staats (originally it was part of Blackrock Depths). Scott Mercer and Jeffrey Kaplan got the raid launched on time by working on it thoroughly for a week.
The races of World of Warcraft in 2000. Here are several designs that changed their shape the more the game developed.
After the "Atari Map" Arathi Basin was created. Jim Chadwick started with the terrain layers in WoW Edit. At first we only focused on the height and distance of the capture points, placing all the points of interest so that they could be seen from the different points.
The first character creation screen. Originally, World of Warcraft only had six playable races. Trolls and gnomes were added later.
The first Blackwing Lair test.
And so far all the screenshots of the development of World of Warcraft. I hope you found them interesting!
