Niuzao Temple Siege is a heroic 5-person dungeon located in the Tong Long Steppes in Pandaria. The dungeon is available to level 90 players. It contains 4 encounters: Vizier Jin'bak, Commander Vo'jak, General Pa'valak, Wing Leader Ner'onok.
Introduction
Type: Dungeon
Location: Tong Long Desert
Player Limit: 5
Difficulty modes: Heroic, Challenge
Bosses:Vizier Jin'bak, Commander Vo'jak, General Pa'valak, Squad Leader Ner'onok
The Siege of the Niuzao Temple is located to the southeast of the island where the Niuzao temple is located. There, the Mantid army has established an assault camp and is in the process of building a bridge to access the island's temple. You need to storm the camp and kill the leader of the Mantids to prevent the construction of the bridge.
The dungeon has a linear trajectory during which you will progress through a hollow tree (which serves as the entry point to the dungeon) before wreaking havoc on the camp until you reach the bridge. You will meet four bosses during the tour. This dungeon is only accessible in heroic mode at level 90.

Boss Skills
{tab = Vizier Jin'bak}
Location: Hollow tree
HistoryVizier Jin'bak wanders the end of the natural mantid bridge, collecting valuable sap from the tree's roots. Thanks to his extensive alchemical knowledge, this formidable being transforms this substance into weapons and other tools that will speed up the siege of the Niuzao Temple.
-
Puddle of sap- The pool of sap grows over time, dealing Nature damage every second to enemies that touch it. Touching the pool of sap also causes its size to shrink.
-
Sap residue - When a player touches the Sap Puddle, it causes a residue to adhere to it. Sap Residue deals Nature damage over 1 second. The effect stacks.
-
-
Summon Sap Globule- Vizier Jin'bak summons three globules of tree sap.
-
Sap globule - The sap globules try to converge with the sap pool, increasing its size.
-
-
Detonate - Vizier Jin'back attempts to detonate the pool of sap, dealing damage based on the size of the pool.

{tab = Commander Vo'jak}
Site: Gate watchtower
History: What Commander Vo'jak lacks in strategic prowess, he makes up for in raw ferocity. Their devastating blows were crucial to the placement of the mantid bridge that allowed them to enter the island. Making battle plans is for the general of the mantid; Vo'jak only craves blood.
-
Caustic tar - The escaped prisoners, Li and Lo Chu, will place and prepare barrels of mantid tar for battle. Players can launch Caustic Tar Barrels onto the battlefield. Caustic Tar deals Nature damage to any unit within it, slows movement speed by 50%, and increases damage taken by 10%. This effect stacks. Caustic Tar also removes any effects from the target that increase movement or attack speed.
Phase 1: Forward!
Commander Vo'jak orders his forces to attack the players.
-
Sik'thik Swarmer - Lightly armored and well-trained, Sik'thik swarmers are an essential part of Vo'jak's forces.
-
Sik'thik Alaqrab- The Sik'thik Scorpion flies to the top of the platform and bombards the players.
-
To bomb - The Sik'thik Scorpion launches multiple explosives at various random enemy locations every 1,5 seconds for 15 seconds. Bombard deals Fire damage to all creatures within 4 yards of the target location.
-
-
Sik'thik Demolisher- Fast and unstable, these mantid carry explosive charges.
-
Unstable explosion - The Sik'thik Demolisher carries unstable explosives, and explodes when damaged or killed, dealing damage to all targets within 16 meters.
-
-
Sik'thik Warrior - Sik'thik warriors slowly advance towards the enemy's position.
Phase 2: Your defenses haven't stopped me!
Commander Vo'jak enters combat when his forces are about to be defeated at the hands of the players.
-
Increasing speed –Commander Vo'jak focuses his will and determination, increasing his attack speed by 10% every 2 seconds. This effect stacks.
-
Sweeping blow - Commander Vo'jak charges at a random enemy player, dealing Physical damage to all enemies in his path. The hit also knocks back its current target, dealing bonus physical damage.
-
Strudel - Right after using Crushing Strike, Commander Vo'jak begins spinning and throwing swords, dealing physical damage to all targets within 8 meters. Thousand Leaves also removes the Caustic Tar effect.

{tab = General Pa'valak}
Site: Assault Camp
History: The pragmatic General Pa'valak does not fear the pandaren or their allies, and does not distinguish between using his own strength and that of his mantid army to defeat his enemies. Victory is all the honor you want, and you won't tolerate failure if your minions don't meet their goals.
-
Sheet loading - General Pa'valak throws his sword at a random player's location, dealing physical damage to all players within 4 meters of impact. Once the sword lands, General Pa'valak charges towards it, dealing physical damage to all players within 4 meters and knocking them back.
-
Storm - General Pa'valak unleashes a Tempest that deals Nature damage to all players within 60 yards and prevents further healing from the target.
Request reinforcements
When General Pa'valak's health reaches 65% and 35%, he protects himself with a Bulwark and calls for reinforcements.
-
Bulwark - General Pa'valak surrounds himself with a shield and absorbs millions of points of damage.
-
BlitzGeneral Pa'valak summons Sik'thik Amber Sappers to bombard players.
-
Siege Explosive - Sik'thik Amber Sappers drop Siege Explosives that self-arm after 3 seconds. Then, after an additional 3 seconds, they explode to deal Fire damage in a radius of 7 meters. The explosion causes players to take an additional 5% damage for 15 seconds. This effect stacks.
-
Throw explosive - Players can attempt to launch Siege Explosives at enemy mantids before they activate. Launched explosives deal Fire damage to all mantids within 7 yards of the target area and increase their damage taken by 5% for 1,5 minutes. This effect stacks.
-
-
Ground attack- General Pa'valak summons waves of Sik'thik soldiers to defend him in battle.
-
Sik'thik Soldier
-
Serrated blade - Sik'thik soldiers slash a player, dealing Physical damage every 3 seconds for 12 seconds. This effect stacks.

{tab = Squad Leader Ner'onok}
Site: Assault Camp
History: Squad Leader Ner'onok's decisive blows have won him a hundred battles. General Pa'valak's small victories are nothing compared to what Ner'onok believes he could achieve from being in command. Although his airstrikes have already devastated the temple guardians, this winged terror still seeks the opportunity to prove himself superior to the general.
-
Throw brick - Ner'onok hurls debris from the damaged bridge at his target, dealing Physical damage equal to 100% of his weapon damage.
-
Caustic pitch - Ner'onok launches a caustic pitch ball to a random location. The ball deals Nature damage every second and reduces the movement speed of players who touch it by 50%.
-
Quick drying resin - Ner'onok sprays a target with hot resin. As the resin hardens, it deals Fire damage every second. If this process is complete, the target is encased in resin and cannot be moved or performed for 6 seconds. Jumping counters this effect, and if the target is released they will feel invigorated, increasing movement speed and spell casting speed by 15% for 30 seconds.
Treacherous winds
Nero'nok takes flight twice during the fight and heads to the other end of the bridge. Upon landing, he periodically channels Wind gusts until they interrupt him.
-
Gusts of wind - Ner'onok flaps his wings furiously, creating a powerful gale that knocks enemies away at high speed.

Niuzao Temple Siege Strategies
{tab = Missions}
Missions
There are two missions that can be completed within the dungeon. Both are given Shadow Master Chum Kiu at the entrance to the dungeon.
The first mission is Somewhere inside. Ask you to release the Prisoners of Shado-Pan in the Assault Camp (in the second part of the dungeon).
The second mission is Take down the squad leader. Ask you to kill Squad Leader Ner'onok, the last boss of the dungeon.
Only killing the Squad Leader has rewards. They have an ilvl of 440 (see loot section above).
{tab = Vizier Jin'bak}
The match against Vizier Jin'bak it's a simple fight. The boss must be tanked and all he has to do is survive the boss's melee attacks.
In the center of the room, there is a puddle of sap, which sticks
Sap residue to anyone who touches it. Jin'bak regularly summons Sap Globules. They must be killed before they reach the Sap Pool or it will grow in size. The size of the Sap Pool determines the damage done to party members by
Detonate, a skill that Jin'bak regularly casts.

{tab = Commander Vo'jak}
After defeating Vizier Jin'bak, you will exit through the Hollow Tree area and enter the Assault Camp. There, 3 Pandaren fighters will greet you. With your help, they will defend themselves against the troops of Commander Vo'jak, who go up the ramp to the platform where you are. After a few rounds, Vo'jak will climb the ramp himself to face your group.
Phase One: Waves of Adds
During the first part of the fight, you have to fight the wave of adds. They go up the ramp and at the end they reach the platform where you have to finish them. One of the Pandaren fighters will continue to help you with
Caustic tar, which you can use to delay enemies when climbing the ramp. Caustic tar is a clickable object (see image to the left). After clicking it, your cursor becomes a target and you can click again to cast Caustic Tar at the location you have selected.
The only enemies worth naming are the Sik'thik Demolishers, who explode when you attack them, dealing a large amount of damage to nearby units. For this reason, you'll want to attack them when they hang out with other enemies on the ramp that have previously been slowed down by
During phase one, a Sik'thik Amberwing it will regularly bombard the platform so watch out for that.
Achievements: Where is the air support?
To finish
Where is the air support?, you have to kill the Sik'thik Amberwing. The difficult thing is that the Amberwing will only be within range of your DPS a few times and when this happens they have to hit it as hard as they can. This means that the tank and the healer have to keep the adds under control until the Amberwing leaves.
Phase Two: Vo'jak
After defeating all the waves, you finally fight Vo'jak. This is a tank and hit fight. The tank (or any other party member) can use
Caustic tar to remove
Increasing speed, a buff that increases the attack speed that the boss himself adds.
Also, watch out for
Strudel, which attacks nearby enemies with a whirlwind of steel, which also removes Caustic Tar (allowing Increasing Speed to build in again).
Finally, Vo'jak uses
Sweeping blow, Charge into a random enemy, dealing heavy physical damage in a line. This is worrisome for healers.
{tab = General Pa'valak}
Continuing progress in the camp, before reaching the General Pa'valak, you will find a number of Shadow-Pan Prisoners that you can release, if you haven't completed the mission yet Somewhere inside.
Adds
The fight against Pa'valak has an important mechanic that everyone has to pay attention to. When he reaches 65% and 35% health, he becomes invulnerable and summons many waves of Sik'thik Soldiers To help you. While enemy troops are charging towards you, you may be scared, but you can control them quickly (see below).
Other Mantid units, called Sik'thik Amber-Sappers, they will throw bombs at you. For the first few seconds after they hit the ground, you can click on them, which allows you to pinpoint a location where you'll launch them to explode. Use it to kill the Sik'thik Soldiers. If you can no longer use the bombs, get out of there, otherwise they will do you a lot of damage when they explode. When all the soldiers are dead, you will fight Pa'valak again.
Rest of the Fight
The fight is very simple. He has a worrying ability:
Sheet loading. He throws his sword at an enemy location, hitting the ground and charges towards it, dealing physical damage to all players within 4 yards of the impact and knocking them back.
His other ability is
Storm. Deal damage to all party members.
Achievement: What goes around comes around
To finish
What goes around comes around, you have to defeat General Pa'valak while he has 20 stacks of
Detonate. This debuff builds up on him every time you throw a bomb dropped by the Sik'thik Amber-Sappers.
Completing the achievement is not as easy as it sounds. First, the debuff only lasts 90 seconds, which means you'll need to deal damage to Pa'valak fast enough so that the debuff doesn't drop between 65% and 35%, and then again between 35% and 0% of lifetime.
Also, the Sik'thik Amber Sappers will hardly drop enough bombs for you to rack up all 20 times, so you should have as many members in your party as possible focused on catching the bombs and throwing them at Pa'valak.
{tab = Squad Leader Ner'onok}
Squad Leader Ner'onok awaits you at the end of the bridge where the Mantids worked. The difficult part of the fight is when Ner'onok flies to the other end of the bridge. We detail this event a little later. First, we introduce you to three abilities that Ner'onok will use during the fight.
-
Throw brick does physical damage to the tank.
-
Caustic pitchThrow a glob of tar at a random location. Enemies that touch it suffer 40000. Nature damage every 1 sec and its movement speed is reduced by 50%.
-
Quick drying resin Splashes a target with hot resin. It deals damage every second. As the resin hardens, it deals 7500. Fire damage every 1 sec. If the process completes, the target is encased in the resin and cannot be moved or acted upon for 6 seconds. You have to jump to prevent this. Below, you can see the progression bar that indicates how close you are to being locked up.
At 66% life, Ner'onok will fly to the other end of the bridge. Once he gets there, he will keep throwing
Gusts of wind, which drives away enemies at high speed. The idea here is to get to Ner'onok on the other side of the bridge and interrupt his Wind Gusts, which will resume the fight (as described above). To progress across the bridge, you have to protect yourself from being pushed away using some small walls and the
At 33%, it will fly to its original position, and you will have to pass the
Gusts of wind before finishing it.
7.1. Achievement: Run Like the Wind
to complete
Run like the wind, you have to defeat Squad Leader Ner'onok while under the influence of
When Squad Leader Ner'onok launches for the first time
Gusts of wind, you can use the wind to jump to the missing section of the bridge. There, you will be able to talk to Tenwu who will give you
Tenwu Resolution and it will teleport you back to the part of the bridge where you came from.
From then on, you have two minutes to kill Ner'onok. This means that you need to train properly to deal with
Gusts of wind, so as not to waste as much time as possible.
