Marksmanship hunters are seasoned in the dangers of the wild, mastering weapons that are most lethal at long range. Instead, the Marksmanship hunter camouflages himself into the surrounding environment and studies the behavior of predators to devise deadly new ways to stalk his own prey. A potential sniper, this hunter shoots arrows and bullets with lethal precision, exposing the weaknesses of anyone - or anything - in front of his sights.

In this guide we will talk about Marksmanship Hunter talents, abilities, and rotation in Patch 8.0.1. As I always tell you in all my guides, this is an orientation on how you can take a Marksmanship Hunter and get performance, but with the use of his character each player acquires the skill and way of playing appropriate to him and decides at all times what talents and skills to use. No guide is to the letter, but if you start now with your new Marksmanship Hunter or are somewhat lost, this guide will come in handy. ;).

Although I am still adjusting to the changes we have had, here is the build of the talents that I will use with my Marksmanship Hunter during patch 8.0.1. Anyway, at the moment we have a lot of ease to be able to change talents depending on the boss we are going to face, so if one of them is not to your liking, you can try any other that you think you can do better.

  • Level One: Flock of Crows / Master Marksman
  • Level One: Sharpen Aim / Explosive Shot
  • Level One: Natural relief
  • Level One: Hunter's Mark / Steady Focus / Hunter's Mark
  • Level One: Immediacy
  • Level One: Lethal Shots / Double Hit
  • Level One: Lock and load

Level One

  • Shooter master: Aimed Shot has a 100% chance to reduce the focus cost of your next Arcane Shot or Multi-Shot by 100%.
  • Snake bite: Fires a poisoned arrowhead at an enemy, dealing (20.3112% of attack power) Nature damage instantly and an additional 16 damage over 12 seconds.
  • Flock of crows: Summons a flock of crows that attacks your target, dealing [(23% of attack power) * 16] points of physical damage over 15 seconds. If the target dies during the attack, the cooldown of Flock of Crows is reset.

I have chosen Flock of crows which works great for all encounters, although in some encounters against multiple targets I sometimes change it to Shooter master.

Level One

  • Sharpen your aimAimed Shot has a 50% chance to deal 100% additional damage to targets above 80% health or below 20% health.
  • Save: Your automatic shots have a 10% chance to cause a volley of arrows to rain around the target, dealing (75% of attack power)% fist physical damage to each enemy within 8 meters.
  • Explosive shot: Fires slow ammo forward. Activating this ability a second time triggers the shot, dealing a maximum of (131.04% of attack power) points of Fire damage to all enemies within 8 yards. If you don't detonate Explosive Shot, you will regain 10 focus points and part of the cooldown.

I have chosen Sharpen your aim for single target encounters and I also use Explosive shot in meetings where there are multiple objectives and see that I can take advantage of it.

Level One

  • Burns: Your movement speed will increase by 30% when you have not been attacked for 3 seconds.
  • Natural relief: Every 20 focus points you spend reduces the remaining cooldown of Arousal by 1 second.
  • Camouflage: You and your pet blend into the environment and gain stealth for 1 minute. While cloaked, you heal for 2% of maximum health every 1 second.

Here I choose  Natural relief

Level One

  • Steadfast focus: Using Steady Shot reduces the cast time of Steady Shot by 20%, stacking up to 2 times. Using any other shot removes this effect.
  • StreamliningRapid Fire now lasts 30% longer.
  • Hunter's Mark: Applies Hunter's Mark to the target, increasing your damage to the marked target by 5%. If the target dies while Hunter's Mark remains active, you gain 20 focus points instantly. The hunter can always see the target and track it. Only one Hunter's Mark can be applied at a time.

Here I use Hunter's Mark in single-target encounters, Streamlining in encounters with more than 3 targets as it greatly increases the damage per second. In many encounters I use Steadfast focus yes i have the power of azerite Steady pulse.

Level One

  • Born to be Wild: Reduces the cooldowns of Aspect of the Cheetah and Aspect of the Turtle by 20%.
  • Immediacy: Separation also frees you from all movement impairing effects and increases your movement speed by 50% for 4 seconds.
  • Binding shot: Fires a magic projectile that binds the enemy and all other enemies within 5 meters for 10 seconds and roots them for 5 seconds if they move more than 5 meters from the arrow.

Here I have chosen Immediacy, since it gives me a lot of movement.

Level One

  • Lethal shots: Steady Shot has a 25% chance to cause your next Aimed Shot or Rapid Fire to land guaranteed critical hits.
  • Trumpet: Rapidly fires a barrage of shots for 3 seconds, dealing an average of [(14.196% of attack power)% * 10] points of physical damage to all enemies in front of you. It can be used on the go.
  • Double impact: Your next Aimed Shot will fire a second time instantly at 100% power without consuming focus, or your next Rapid Fire will fire 100% more shots during its channel.

Here I usually use Lethal shots when is a goal and Double impact in more objective encounters.

Level One

  • Anticipate the shots: Casting Arcane Shot or Multi-Shot reduces the cooldown of Trueshot by 2.5 seconds.
  • Lock and load: Your ranged auto attacks have a 5% chance to trigger Block and Charge, causing your next Aimed Shot to cost no focus and instant.
  • Penetrating shot: A powerful shot that deals (112.5% ​​of attack power)% p. physical damage to the target and up to [(112.5% ​​of attack power)% / (2.5)] points of physical damage to all enemies between you and the target.

Here I use without hesitation Lock and load since the other two do not convince me at all and he is the best talent for all situations.

Various objectives

Use Aimed Shot when you are about to have 2 charges.

Use Steady shot when you need to generate focus.

Multi-shot it is very effective if there are 3 or more targets.

Avoid using Aimed Shot above 90 focus if you are not about to get 2 charges.

Otherwise use Redirection when we see it necessary, use Tar trap y Freezing trap whenever we need it. Concussion shot whenever we need it. Use Appearance of the turtle if we see that we are going to die irretrievably taking into account that when we are using it we will not be able to use our abilities.
