Development of the meeting

As we have seen, the meeting will be loaded with mechanics between the different phases, whose times will be long and, any failure, can lead to absolute failure.

Phase 1: Sky and Storm

When starting combat, argus will use the faculty Overwhelming Scythe, making a sweep with his scythe in front of him damaging and adding a debuff that will increase the damage of the next sweep by 75%. This ability must be eaten by the tank and it will have to be exchanged every 3 marks. All players must stay on the boss's back to avoid taking damage from this devastating ability. It will also use Tortured anger that, simply, will damage in area to all the band. On Heroic difficulty, this ability will change from 75% damage debuff to 150%.

Another of the faculties that we must take into account during this first phase will be Soul Blight Orb. It will mark three players with a debuff that, upon expiration, will leave a shadowy pool on the ground dealing constant damage as it passes through. Those affected will have to separate from the rest of the raid to place these blisters on the edge of the encounter.

When argus accumulate 100p energy, will launch the ability Death cone to a random player, leaving Death fog It will harm players who stay on it. These mists will disappear in later phases but they will force us to maintain a singular rotation since, all the meeles will have to stay together, like the healers and the ranged DPS, in a line perpendicular to the boss, so that all of you are right at the Argus's backs. The boss room is circular so we must gradually fill the room with this mist. It is important to perform this mechanic well since poor positioning or low DPS will make the room fill up with this mist, leaving us without space to position ourselves.

During the first phase, the Titan Golganneth will help us, marking two players with Gift from heaven y Gift of the sea respectively that will leave, after the effects, an orb on the ground that will grant Heaven's Force y Force of the sea to close allies. These orbs will last for one minute. These buffs can only stack if players stay close to the same orbs. The idea is that one of the orbs is placed at meele and another at a distance so that the entire gang can benefit from these buffos. He can't benefit from both buffs so don't try to place them in the same place. On Heroic difficulty, these buffs will now be 30 seconds instead of 1 minute.

When argus drop to 70% of your maximum health, the second phase of the challenge will begin.

Phase 2: The Protector Redeemed

By lowering Argus the Unmaker to 70% health, Golganneth will use Golganneth's Wrath, creating an electrical storm that will cover the edges of the room forcing all the players to move to the center of the room since, the players who remain inside this storm, will receive a great amount of damage. This faculty will also clean all Death fog of the previous phase. This storm will last a couple of seconds so you should stay in the center until this ends as you will be in a small transition to the beginning of phase 2.

Tanks will continue to exchange the boss after the three marks of Overwhelming Scythe and the gang will continue to stay behind the boss's back to avoid damage from this ability.

Disintegration Edge It will be an important ability that we must take into account since various scythes will appear in the combat area that will do a great amount of damage to the players who are hit. To avoid damage from this ability, players must face where the scythe is pointing, avoid staying in that direction, and avoid any area that may approach.

In this phase we will have to deal with Volatile soul, ability that the boss will launch when reaching 100% energy This ability will apply to two players Burst of Souls already one Soul bomb simultaneously. Burst of Souls will deal damage every 3 seconds for 15 seconds, exploding due to Soul Bomb Detonation when this effect expires. To avoid damage from this ability, players affected by Burst of Souls They will be placed as far away from the rest of the raid as possible since this damage will decrease according to the distance they are at. It is important that the Raid Leader manages this situation and the placement of the allies and that they keep in mind that they will have to move to a certain point of the combat to avoid a possible failure. The damage of Soul bomb it will increase considerably on Heroic difficulty.

Soul bomb will act in much the same way as Burst of Souls only, the area that will damage the entire raid, will also damage the target itself, dealing as much damage as possible. That is why the tank must accompany this player thanks to the favor that Aggramar will grant us and that we will explain below.

The position that we will maintain for these faculties will be the following:

Map Argus the Unmaker

As we have marked it, this will be the caption of the image:

In this phase we will obtain the help of Aggramar who will launch the faculty Aggramar Avatar and will grant tanks 100% more health and 40% movement speed for one minute. Additionally, it will grant nearby allies Aggramar's Favor which will cause damage taken to be redirected to the tank. In this way, one of the tanks will stay with the boss while the other will accompany the player who is affected by Soul bomb preventing it from dying.

Phase 3: The Arcane Masters (Normal and Heroic)

When the health of argus drops to 40%, the third phase of combat will begin, at which point he will fall to his knees due to Aman'thul using Temporary explosion. During this phase, Argus will not be able to be attacked and, instead, up to seven constellars will appear that will launch abilities that will affect the entire raid and must be defeated:

  • Cosmic ray will act in a way similar to Disintegration Edge only it will do a side sweep. Players must be careful and watch where they are being thrown in order to get away at the right time.
  • Cosmic beacon it will be an ability that must be interrupted at all costs since, if not interrupted, the damage that can be inflicted on the target player and the entire raid can be devastating.
  • Star blast launch that may be interrupted but we must prioritize the previous one.

At a certain point in the encounter, two of the constellars will get weapons and the tanks will have to tank them:

  • One of the constellars will get Sword of the cosmos that will enhance it due to Cosmic power and the constellars that are near him. This will be the constellar that will have to move inside the room and on which it will have to be focused since we cannot allow it to empower the rest of the constellars.
  • The other will acquire Blades of the Eternal and the tank must take it to the edge of the room on another of the living constellars in order to take full advantage of its abilities and damage both enemies.

On Heroic difficulty, constellars will gain an extra ability called Inevitability.

During this phase Norgannon will help us, using the faculty The Norgannon Disks which will cause the constellars to receive damage according to the school of the spells, forcing players to hit the constellars that have the vulnerability according to their spells to perform the maximum possible damage:

The different constellars will appear in the following locations:

Map Argus Phase 3

When all constellars are defeated, the phase will end.

Phase 4: The Offering of Life, The Forge of Loss

We will find out when this combat will begin as it will take us to a place full of lollipops and sweets ... well no, they will kill us all but Eonar, the Patron of Life, will create a tree that will allow us to resurrect to continue the combat. We will be resurrected when we enter the tree. However, this tree has a% of health that will decrease for each player who resuscitates in addition to that there will be many corrupt spawns that, when passing through them, will explode pushing us back and adding the debuff Soul detonation. When the tree loses all its health, the healers will be able to heal it although it will still allow us to resurrect only that it will add a cumulative debuff called Withered roots which will do us a great deal of damage for every second.

When the fourth phase of the encounter begins, Argus will find himself at the center of the fight channeling The end of all things. This ability will kill the entire raid if it is not interrupted before 15 seconds and, for this, we must resuscitate and reach the tree before Argus can finish casting it. When we are all alive, it will be time to use the BL to shorten the phase as much as possible.

For this phase, the boss will use some abilities from the previous phases as well as Tortured angerOverwhelming ScytheVolatile soul. In this case, we will not get the help of Aggramar so the player affected by Soul bomb he must use immunities to avoid being deleted or, on the contrary, he must resurrect and reach the tree when he dies to return to the world of the living. On Heroic difficulty, Overwhelming Scythe will become Deadly scythe.

As a novelty, argus you will get a new faculty called Ember of Wrath It will simply leave puddles on the ground that will need to be dodged to avoid damage and damaging cumulative marks from these areas. You will also gain an ability to create modules that you will place around the room. These will launch Startup sequence and the area will expand as time passes, hurting itself as it expands. We must avoid these areas at all costs since the player who enters these will receive the full weight of the Recreation pulse. The ranged DPS will be in charge of attacking these spheres so that they do not become giants.

During this phase we will obtain the help of Khaz'goroth who, upon obtaining 20 essences, will channel the ability Titan Forge, applying to all players in the raid Forged by the titan. This ability will last as long as the Titan drains the Essences. These essences can be collected in the spirit world (white and purple spheres).

Tips for the meeting

This encounter will be based solely on avoiding areas and performing the mechanics correctly. That is why we want to give you a couple of tips so that you keep in mind the most important things during the meeting:

Tank

Healer

  • Keep players affected by Soul bomb  Burst of Souls the lives capped.
  • If you are the target of Soul bomb, move next to the tank affected by  Aggramar Avatar to prevent  Soul Bomb Detonation I killed you.
  • Heal the withered tree during phase 4.
  • Pick up the motes of titanic power while you're a ghost.
  • Stay behind the boss's back as the sweep of the scythe is deadly.

Raid Team Antorus, The Burning Throne

As we have seen, the Argus the Annihilator encounter is not difficult (like no other) but incidents will always occur where we will be forced to use our CDs ahead of time or even have to use all our mana to counter the devastating attacks of the boss. At the beginning of the match, it will seem as if you have to take a lot of mechanics into account but, luckily, they are not very complicated. Still, it is one of the few encounters where the damage, at times, will be very difficult to avoid and, as I mentioned before, we will be forced to correct the mistakes of others or even our own mistakes. Either way, we all have a cone in our raid that will earn us an achievement for the maximum number of trys in the same boss. For this reason, we hope that this guide has helped you to complete these challenges in the best possible way (except to the cone, that is impossible).

Until the next guide!
