I always recommend one thing with professions: the best way to raise it is by being a maximum level. You avoid headaches in case you have to go to an area with a higher level than you, greater access to resources, it takes less time to farm, recipes that ask for a level and cut your "roll", etc ... So My advice is to get involved with professions if you are above level 100 or more.

The Darkmoon Fair: that great friend of the professions
With the Black Moon Fair you can save 5 points without having to do many things or large expenses. Herrería's mission is shoes. You only need to create 4 horseshoes on the island and voila.
