Aloha! Today we bring you one of the secrets recently discovered in Argus for the Hunters: the form of domestication of the Pantharas.
Game Guide: How to Tame Pantharas
It took 4 days to discover one of the secrets that Argus hides in Patch 7.3, in this case the secret of taming the hunter pets of the Panthara family. The discoverers of this secret are nothing more and nothing less than the Petopia community, one of the best websites related to everything related to hunter pets. Except for the other pets that all they needed was tame beast and highway. But no, these pets need "something special" and we are going to explain it to you. We recommend you arm yourself with patience first, you will understand 🙂
The key piece of the domestication of the Pantharas is another creature: the chitinous crag scaler (Quintinous Crag, Wowhead doesn't have all translations of the 7.3 content yet). These creatures are actually Vile Tainted Talbuks, like most wildlife on Argus.
Update: With the opening of the last map, Mac'Aree becomes the best place to farm due to the high concentration of Talbuks.
Our goal is to farm the chitinous crag scaler (Quintinous Crag) until we get the item Fresh talbuk meat. The problem is that the drop probability is very very low, around 1-4%. The good part is that it is not linked when collecting so it can be found for sale in auctions or trade chats. It only takes 1 Fresh talbuk meat (You can collect several to make all the colors or to avoid mistakes) to start with the domestication of the Pantharas.
With the Fresh talbuk meat to our credit we have 6 types of different colors (2 of them blocked for now) from Pantharas:
- Indigo: It is found in Krokuun at coordinates 45 53.
- Silver Blue: Found in Krokuun at coordinates 45 53.
- Yellow: Found in Krokuun in the Petrified Forest, coordinates 60 65.
- Green: Found in Antoran Wastes in the Crucible of Spirits, coordinates 66 44.
- Purple: Found in Mac'Aree (opens for next week).
- Greyish Blue: Found in Mac'Aree (opens for next week).
After choosing the Panthara that we like the most, we head towards its area and begin. I recommend that you do it in Survival. Don't worry if it's not your main spec or you don't have the artifact weapon uploaded, it's just to make things easier for you.
Follow these steps, they are not difficult to follow but one bad step can end up messing it up:
- Use freezing trap
- Get closer to the Panthara until it targets you and activates feign death
- Without getting up active camouflage
- Lanza Fresh talbuk meat
- Use tame beast
And Voilà! Panthara captured and ready for combat 🙂. If all goes well, neither you nor the pet will deal combat damage in taming.
I don't do it like that, I always dominate the ones that are asleep, I put on camouflage, I get closer, I throw freeze trap right over it to freeze it, I throw the meat on the body (all this in camouflage) and then you should see a splash of blood, then I give him to tame and that's it. It never fails.
Talbuk Meat is also dropped by Talbuks around Mac'aree in droves around the area where robots are scampering. Several meats are well served in an hour.
Right, I update it right now. At the time I made the guide, the Mac'aree map was not yet available.
I have tried the two ways you describe and nothing, I have already 3 meats and I do not get it ... any update or advice?
