Aloha! Are you starting to play and feeling a little lost? Don't worry, nobody is born learned! We teach you the first steps to start raiding little by little.

Game Guide - Starting to raide step by step

Most people use AddOns, essential when playing. It is true that World of Warcraft has been adapting and increasing numerous functions that formerly covered the addons, despite this, they are still very useful. To install them, we can do it through the application Curse or directly by downloading the addons and manually adding them to the game's installation folder. I recommend the first option. Here are the most common ones and their degree of need:

addons

Deadly Boss Mod (DBM) or Bigwigs. Either of these two addons are essential for gang combat, at a basic level they indicate the abilities of all the bosses and the time remaining for them to execute them. At a more advanced level, we can configure it to highlight certain skills, make noises and so on.

Damage Recount: Similar, although Skada asks for fewer resources. These addons are in charge of measuring the healing, the damage, the interruptions ... and lots of other things in the encounters. It is very useful to compare damages, healings and try to progress.

Launch Raid Tools: Includes various useful tools for Raid.

R.C.LootCouncil: Needed in some guilds to loot bosses.

ElvUI: The famous alternative interface of WoW, changes frames, buttons and includes some important addons. Not everyone likes it, and there are a few others, but over the years, for me it is one of the most beautiful and functional interfaces in the game. In addition, it is fully customizable.

WeakAuras 2: It is an addon that allows us to put reminders in the middle of the screen, timers or some other things. It is very configurable and is used above all to highlight benefits or damages that we want to see. We can also configure it to see the bleeds or DoTs (Damage in time spells) for a correct rotation in classes such as the warlock or the feral druid.

GTFO: An addon that beeps like a bastard every time you're over an area. Goodbye to eat more areas! Luckily, we can configure the level of noise it makes.

ParrotMSBT: Either of these two addons allows us to delicately configure the floating text, seeing the damage and the healing done.

Equip our character. Objects.

There are many ways right now to equip our character, from battlefields a mythical dungeons going through the world missions. But, in the world of WoW, not everything is iLvl. For all classes, some statistics benefit more than others, and therefore we must sometimes choose between different objects to equip ourselves. Most of the time, iLvl comes in handy ... because until now, everything that iLvl involved involved increased the main stat. Since Legion, this is no longer the case, as certain items such as capes or rings are only based on secondary attributes.

Enchant and engem

Although normally in the guides we already put the enchantments and gems that go well for the class, in this guide I am going to make a paragraph on the type of gems and enchantments that we must equip.

beget

We will have to equip a gem of +200 of a main statistic in a slot, and the rest of the secondary stats of +150 or +200, depending on the object. You don't need to spend a lot of gold on gems at this level.

+150 (secondary): Eye of Deadly Prophecy, Master Shadow Ruby, Quick lightning, Versatile Sapphire from the Maelstrom.

+200 (secondary): Eye of Deadly Prophecy, Master Shadow Ruby, Quick lightning, Versatile Sapphire from the Maelstrom.

+200 (main): Saber Eye of Agility, force saber eye, intellect saber eye.

To charm

We currently have ring, cape and necklace enchantments that are what we must enchant with to go raid, as the good raider guide indicates. Remember that all the pieces of your equipment should always always be enchanted (even if they are minor enchantments for the pieces that are going to have an imminent replacement).

Ring enchantments

Cloak enchantments

Necklace enchantments

(There are also glove enchantments but they are for professions, which makes them irrelevant for raids)

Consumables in raid

Now let's move on to the topic of consumables in raid. We are talking about food, flasks, potis and runes. Meals and flasks are essential, and the other two, especially the runes, are a bit more optional.

Jars and potis

Flasks and Potis are obtained through the Alchemy profession.

The different bottles that we can consume are these. These last 1 hour if you are not an alchemist, if you are an alchemist they last twice as long. In addition, its benefit does not dissipate after death.

Potis are used twice during combat, once a few seconds before attacking the boss and another during combat, generally combined with heroism or with the maximum damage phase of our character. Most of them last 25 seconds. We have the following depending on our specialization:

-Melee DPS: old war

-DPS remote: lethal grace

-Tank: unalterable

- Healer: torrent law*

* The Healing Potion can be substituted for ancient mana potionAlthough it gives less mana, it is not necessary to channel it.

Runes

Meals

It is important to have food on hand, as they provide the benefit of a secondary stat of our choice that is great when fighting, especially being pandaren, because you will benefit from epicurean. You can see the meals available in the following link.

Combat

Each encounter is different and requires the correct execution of the skills for the boss to die. We are ready to go raiding, now it is only necessary to listen to the indications of the Raid Leader or band leader. This is very important.

The figure of the RL (raid leader) is very important. It is the organizer of the entire raid (band, explanations, warnings in combat, etc ...). This position must always be respected and never be afraid or cut yourself in asking, he always tries to get the most out of your entire band.
