Guide to get the Hive Mind mount
Recommendations
- Prepare a group of 5 people (counting yourself). Most challenges require 5 people.
- In the Vashj'ir area it is best to have Sea legs. If you don't use potions or water mounts, you will need them.
Starting the quest: True treasure hunter pendant
Go to coordinates 66 69 in Shattrath City and go to the vendor griftah.
Buy him True treasure hunter pendant for 35 gold.
On the back table you will see how some objects appear. Each object is a monocle. Let's start with the most complicated, yellow.
Yellow Glass Monocle
Team True treasure hunter pendant and don't take it out.
We head to the Chamber of Origins dungeon (Uldum).
Defeat the first boss and go to the elevator room. Look through the glass and you will see a strange device, that is the puzzle.
To get to it, go to the room right in front of you as you enter the elevator room. Almost at the bottom, on the right, you will find an opening. Enter through it and go down to the puzzle room. Activate the matrix to start the puzzle.
The purpose of the puzzle is that the whole room is the same color. Keep in mind that each puzzle is random and there is no single pattern. It is quite complicated and unfortunately I cannot give you an exact guide to it.
In the puzzle there are 2 types of objects that are projections and gems. The projections are your goal, they have to be all the same color. The gems are in charge of changing the projections:
- Angular star refractor In a cross formation, rotate the refractor's north, south, east, and west colors.
- Jagged Stellar Refractor: With an X formation, rotate the refractor's northwest, northeast, southwest, and southeast colors.
- Round Star Refractor: With a round formation, rotate the colors around the refractor.
At the end of the puzzle, our first monocle appears in the center of the room.
I can't finish the puzzle. Is there a fast track?
No, there is no fast way. But there is an addon that will help you enormously: Hivemind HoO Puzzle Helper
This addon asks you to design the pattern that you have in the puzzle. Yes, it is too tedious a thing but it is preferable to take an hour more or less than 4 hours doing the puzzle leaving you half bald from hair pulling as was my case 😛.
Be careful when marking the pattern. If you put the wrong colors the solution will be wrong. Before seeing the solution of your pattern, check the pattern in the addon and in your puzzle. Keep in mind that the solution has to be all in a single color (if there are several colors or a box of another color, you have put something wrong).
Blue Glass Monocle
Team True treasure hunter pendant and don't take it out.
Macro to know where you are in the search:

The first thing is to read the letter that is right behind griftah.
The second letter is found in the Monte Alto house at coordinates 57.41 27.91.
The third card is found within the ancient raid of Karazhan, in the Medivh rooms.
The fourth card is found inside the Dungeon Dungeon, in the boxes behind the last boss of the dungeon Amnennar the Frost (sorry for not putting a photo, it was not saved correctly)
The fifth card is found in the tree houses of Mount Hyjal at coordinates 44.41 46.65.
The sixth card is found on the Icecrown wall at coordinates 70.73 73.35.
The seventh and last letter is found in Tong Long Steppes at coordinates 37.7 63
By getting the last card we unlock the chest with the monocle. It is located in Boreal Tundra at coordinates 27.45 27.12, at the top of the Nexus.
Green Crystal Monocle
Team True treasure hunter pendant and don't take it out.
Go to the Skyreach dungeon in Spiers of Arak (Draenor).
Get to the last boss and when you finish you will see how a mechanism appears behind.
The puzzle consists of a specific combination of colors, so you must use the following combination:
Right -> Up -> Down -> Up -> Right -> Right -> Up -> Left -> Down -> Up -> Left -> Down
At the end you will see how the chest with the penultimate monocle appears in the same mechanism.
Red Crystal Monocle

The following monocle is from a series of exchanges between various aquatic beings. But beware! It goes for time (between 5 and 50 min) so be very careful with getting involved when doing the exchanges or standing for a long time.

The door of colored rays
Team True treasure hunter pendant and don't take it out.
With the 4 monocles in our possession we headed to Suramar at coordinates 41 69.5. We go inside the house and go up to the 2nd floor.
On this floor we can see a room closed by 4 colored stripes. To deactivate this we will need our group of 5 people, the monocles and a lot of patience.
We will do the following: 1 people stay in the room and 4 go for the following creatures.

If you look at each creature has a particular eye color. Each creature is tied to its monocle. Creatures do not die when defeated, channel energy and deactivate a bound color (4 seconds).
We distribute the 4 people equipped with their respective monocles among those creatures and lower them to 5-10% health without killing them. At that moment, the 5 of you will have to agree to kill them with a DBM-style counter or by calling discord / skype / ts.
At the moment that all 4 die at the same time, the 5th person enters quickly and looks for a lost cat toy that is behind the central cushion.
When activated, the toy ejects you and deals a random amount of damage. Be careful with this! Save that amount of damage for the next challenge or you'll have to start over from 0 with this.
For example, in my case it was 45426 damage.
Lady Chaton and the Kittens Summons Portals
Team True treasure hunter pendant and don't take it out.
We're going to the Court of Stars dungeon in Suramar. Go to the house of Lady Chaton and her kittens.
Do you remember that I warned you to save the amount of damage that the toy did to you in the previous point? Well, here you will need it.
The group of 5 kittens is actually a combination of numbers and cuddling figures. What we have to do is assign 1 member of our group with 1 kitten and pet the cats according to the figures.
The order of the kitten figures is Sponge> Shadow> Meow> Pavesa> Bella.
For example our number was 45426. So you have to caress 4 to Sponjita, 5 to Sombra, 4 to Miau, 2 to Pavesa and 6 to Bella.
Another example would be the number 123. In that case, Esponjita and Sombra are not touched but 1 to Miau, 2 to Pavesa and 3 to Bella.
At the end of this combination, the kittens will quickly jump into the water hole, spinning around it and creating a vortex. Get inside it.
Flying platforms puzzle
This is EXTREMELY complicated to explain, so it is better that I leave you a video in which you see how to do it. It is best to have one person watch the video while leading the group.
When completing the puzzle, the 5 approach the door and wait a moment until it can be opened.
Flying disc puzzle
This is a strange puzzle. The disc supports a series of passengers and they have to be put in 1, 2 or 3 groups (the disc supports a maximum of 3 passengers). When the puck reaches the halfway point it stops and starts to misfire, with the probability of throwing yourself and having to go back to the beginning. At that moment the best thing is to click on the disc like crazy to avoid that if it throws you back up.
The best way is to try all the possible options among several people.
Invocation of the Hive Mind
Now you have the hardest part… ..What a joke! Everything is done! The only thing left for you is to each stand in a circle and touch the Hive Mind. At that moment it disappears and the object appears in your backpacks.
