Holy Priest - PVE Guide - Patch 7.3.5

Aloha! Welcome to this guide to the Sacred Priest 7.3.5 PVE. Today I bring you this guide in which I will show you which are the best talents and equipment for my taste.

Holy Priest

Priests are spiritually committed and express their unwavering faith by serving the people.

Modifications in patch 7.3

  • No news.

Skills

Healing skills

  • Heal- A slow heal that uses little mana
  • Flash healing- A quick heal but it takes more mana.
  • Renovate- cures a small amount instantly and then over time (HoT)
  • Prayer of relief- Heal an ally when they take damage and then jump to another player, up to 5 times.
  • Prayer of Healing- Heals the target and 4 nearby players within 40m.
  • Joint healing (Talent): Heals the target, the priest, and a third target within 20m. Also, active serendipity.
  • Light of T'uure (active ability of a golden trait of our artifact) instantly heals a target and increases healing on it by 25% for 10 seconds. Has 2 charges and a 45 second cooldown.
  • Holy word: serenity powerful heals a target. Has a 1 minute cooldown that can be reduced thanks to Serendipity.
  • Sacred word: sanctify: Powerful heal in area (10m) to 6 allies. Has a 1 minute cooldown that can be reduced thanks to Serendipity.
  • Healing circle (Talent): Heals all members at 15m in area.
  • Halo (Talent): Heals in area (30m) that also deals damage.

Passive powers

  • Redeeming spirit: When you die, you transform into a spirit for 15 seconds, and you can continue to heal your allies without expending mana but without being able to move.
  • Serendipity: is a passive ability that reduces the cooldown of your holy words (which is 1 min by default) when using certain skills:
  • Heal and Flash Heal reduce the cooldown of Holy Word: Serenity by 6 sec (heals 1 target)
  • Prayer of Healing reduces the cooldown of Holy Word: Sanctify (heals in area) by 6 sec.
  • Joint Heal takes a 3 second cooldown on both Holy Words
  • Smite reduces the cooldown of Holy Word by 6s: Doom (damage abilities)
  • Light echo: Your direct heals provide additional healing for 6 seconds. The amount of healing will depend directly on the mastery that we have.

cooldowns

  • Divine hymn: Heals all party members for a large amount and increases healing for the next 8 seconds. This will be our main healing CD.
  • Guardian spirit- Increases healing on a target and prevents it from dying.
  • Apotheosis (Talent): Serendipity effect and cost of your Holy Words are doubled.
  • Symbol of hope (talent) allows all healers in a group to cast spells without expending mana for 12 sec.
  • Desperate prayer: Heals you for 30% and increases your maximum life. Main defensive CD.

Damage Skills

  • Holy fire it hurts in time
  • Punishment deals moderate damage, reduces the cooldown of Holy Word: convicts and absorbs an amount of damage taken
  • Holy word: condemnation deals a large amount of damage and incapacitates the target
  • Holy nova: area damage skill

Other useful skills

  • Jump of faith- You lure a player to your location. Useful to relocate someone in a bad position.
  • Levitate- Allows you or any ally to float, allowing you to hover over water or fall slowly from great heights.
  • Angelica feather (talent): increases the movement speed of anyone who passes over the feather. Useful to have more mobility or to help other members of the group with mobility.

Use of skills and priorities

  • Use Prayer of relief whenever available.
  • Keep Renovate applied on tanks. Use it to heal when you need to move. If you carry the Prayer talent, this ability will automatically be applied to several of your teammates upon receiving Prayer of Mending.
  • Use Heal to heal a single target when there is not much damage or when you need to regenerate mana, and Flash healing when the damage is greater, as you see that your mana allows it.
  • Use Sacred word: sanctify when there is a group of more than 6 people together who take a moderate or large amount of damage.
  • Do not abuse Prayer of Healing. Use it when there are several people close together who need to be healed (in the meleé, or when the raid is very close together), but remember that it is a heal that uses a lot of mana and should not be cast uncontrollably.
  • Use Holy word: serenity when there is excessively high damage on a target (its health is below 50%). If you need to reinforce this healing, first use a charge of Light of T'uure (active ability of a golden trait of our artifact) and then Holy Word: Serenity (I recommend using this combination on tanks, which will be the ones with the most life and is more difficult to lift).
  • Use Divine hymn when your entire party suffers great damage, and always taking into account the use of healing CDs by your companions. Remember that it is a channeled, so you must remain still while it lasts.
  • Use Guardian spirit if someone is about to die or needs a lot of healing urgently (I recommend saving this skill for tanks). In the event that a tank has a low life, we can use this ability, a charge of Light from T'uure and our sacred Word: serenity, to perform a true miracle and raise its life a large amount.

Talents

Now I will tell you what talents I think are convenient to have in our build and the explanation of all the available talents.

Band

Holy Priest - PVE Guide - Patch 7.2.5

Mythic +

Holy Priest - PVE Guide - Patch 7.2.5

lvl 15

  • Light trail: When you cast Flash Heal, 40% of the healing plays on the target before the one you healed with Flash Heal.
  • Lasting renovation: Your single-target healing spells reset the duration of your Renew on the target.
  • Clarification: You regenerate mana 10% faster.

Enlightenment will be the best talent to avoid wasting our mana too quickly, so moving forward will almost always be the best choice. If your mana is good, the best option will be Trail of Light.

lvl 30

  • Angelica feather: Places a feather at the targeted location that increases the movement speed of the first ally to pass over it by 40% for 5 sec. Only 3 pens can be placed at a time. Maximum 3 charges.
  • Body and mind: Heals the target for (60% of Spell power). every 1 sec and increases their movement speed by 40% for 4 sec.
  • Perseverance: When you cast Renew Yourself, all damage you take is reduced by 10%.

The best choice in almost all encounters will be Angelica Feather, which gives us greater mobility. If the meeting is rather static, we can also bring Perseverance.

lvl 45

  • Bright force: Creates a burst of light around a friendly target, knocking back nearby enemies and reducing their movement speed by 70% for 3 sec.
  • Censorship: Doom stuns the target for 5 sec and is not interrupted by damage.
  • Beyond: Increases the duration of Redeeming Spirit by 50%.

The best choice will be Beyond, since it grants us an extra 7,5 seconds of redeeming Spirit, being able to heal for a longer time without spending mana in the case of death.

lvl 60

  • Light of the Naaru: Serendipity reduces the remaining cooldown on the appropriate Holy Word by an additional 2 seconds.
  • Guardian angel: When Guardian Spirit ends without saving the target from death, reduce its remaining cooldown to 90 seconds.
  • Symbol of hope: Boosts the morale of all healers in your party or raid within 40 yards, allowing them to cast spells at no mana cost for 12 sec.

The best talent in this row will be Light of the Naaru, which will allow us to launch our holy words every less time. Symbol of Hope is a talent that has a high cooldown (6 min) for the little buff it offers us (12 seconds), although it can be a good option in some encounters. As it is a talent that favors all the healers of the band, it will always be good to consult with them if they see it suitable, as well as with our raid leader.

lvl 75

  • Surge of lightSmite and your healing spells have an 8% chance to cause your next Flash Heal to be instant and cost no mana. Maximum 2 charges.
  • Joint healing: Heals you for (300% of Spell power). you, another friendly target, and a third friendly target within 20 yards. Triggers Serendipity, reducing the remaining cooldown of both Holy Word: Serenity and Holy Word: Sanctify by 3 sec.
  • Piety: Reduces the cooldown on Prayer of Mending by 2 sec and now triggers Serendipity, reducing the remaining cooldown on Holy Word: Sanctify.

For dungeons, both Surge of Light and Joint Heal are good choices. Mercy will go very well in the band, since the Prayer of Relief will be a healing that we will use a lot.

lvl 90

  • Divinity: When you heal with a Holy Word spell, your healing is increased by 15% for 6 sec.
  • Divine star: Throw a divine star forward 24 yards, healing for (90% of Spell power). to allies in its path, dealing (145% of Spell power). Holy damage to enemies. Upon reaching its destination, the divine star returns to you, again healing allies and dealing damage to enemies in its path.
  • Halo: Creates a ring of Holy energy around you that expands at high speed up to a 30 yd radius, healing for (287.4% of Spell power). to allies for (431.1% of Spell power) damage. Holy damage to enemies

Divinity will be the best option in most encounters, as the healing boost from using a holy word is quite remarkable.

lvl 100

  • Apotheosis: You enter a pure Holy form for 30 sec, increasing the effects of Serendipity by 200% and reducing the cost of your Holy Words by 100%
  • Prayer: Your Prayer of Mending has a 40% chance to apply Renew to each target it heals
  • Healing circle: Heal (300% of Spell power) p. health to up to 5 wounded allies within 30 yards of the target

In general, Prayer will be very useful for us in the band, since it will apply to renew many of the players on which our prayer of healing jumps, a healing that we must use very frequently. Apotheosis and healing circle come in handy in dungeons, although I recommend Apotheosis, since for a dungeon healing the sacred priest has enough areas to do a group healing, and thanks to Apotheosis both these areas and the healing on a target are reinforced , reducing the time of all our sacred words in moments when we need a powerful CD. If in a band encounter we see that we need an extra healing CD, it would also be a good idea to bring Apotheosis, although that will depend on the encounter and which other healers are with us.

Artefact

Holy Priest - PVE Guide - Patch 7.2.5

As for the new features, which will appear to us when we enhance our artifact, we will follow their natural order. Once we have them, we will focus on enhancing the ancient traits. I recommend following the following order:

  • Time to pray
  • Holy guide
  • Holy ground
  • Power of the Naaru
  • Healing words
  • Holy hands
  • Reverence
  • Immediate serenity
  • Trust in the light

Upon completion of the new traits, a new hidden trait will appear: Agreement of the Twilight of the Legion, providing us with an extra amount of intellect.

Secondary statistics

Mastery> Critical Strike> Haste> Versatility

Mastery (Echo of Light): Our spells heal for an extra% over 6 seconds. The ideal is to carry between 35% and 40% of mastery. Once you have reached 40% mastery, it is preferable to prioritize the rest of the statistics, since a large part of the extra healing that we will obtain will end up resulting in overheal in most cases.

Critical hit: Double the chance for our direct healing spells to heal. Critical heals also increase the amount of Echo of Light healing. We will try to have at least 25% critical to get better heals.

Operational: Increases our spell casting speed and Renew tics. Ideally, have around 12-15% to be comfortable.

Enchantments

Gems

Flasks and potions

Practical tips

  • Reserve Divine Hymns for high-damage moments when you can be still, as if you move, the spell will break and you will lose your main DC.
  • While there isn't much damage, use Heal to save mana.
  • Use your Holy Word: Serenity along with the artifact's ability to get an even greater cure and be able to raise a life that is below 50%.
  • Don't forget that thanks to your mastery you always heal an extra amount after casting a healing spell. Therefore, do not raise the life of your companions to 100%, since your Echo of Light will do the rest.
  • If you die, take advantage of your Redeeming Spirit to cast your best cures, since while you are in this form you will not spend any mana.

BIS team

Our BIS list will depend on the legendaries we own, as well as the high-level items we get in Keystone Mythics. The four pieces of tier that are best for the holy priest are shoulder pads, chest, gloves and pants, although we may have to "break" our tier into another piece if we have a legendary in any of these slots, and we do not have another to change it. . In that case, it is best to bring

Groove
Part name
Boss who lets go
Helmet Golden Seraph Crown aggram
Pendant Prydaz, Xavaric's masterpiece Legendary
Shoulder pads Golden Seraph's Amice Coven Shivarra
Cover X'anshi, shroud of Archbishop Benedictus Legendary
Front Golden Seraph Robes Eonar
Bracers Blood Soaked Bindings Varimatras
Gloves Golden Seraph Handles Kin'garoth
Belt Blooming Petals Cord Eonar
Trousers Bindings of the Seasoned Terminator High Command
Boots Whispering Steps Corridors imonar
Ring 1 Ring of the Patroness of Life Eonar
Ring 2 Sargerite Blacksmith's Band Kin'garoth
Trinket 1 Vision of Aman'thul Legendary
Trinket 2 Vitality Resonator Eonar
Life Slot Clustered spore cutting aggram
Sacred Slots Spark of Undying Light Eonar

As for the legendary, the cape and the trinket are the best we can wear, although the pants also go quite well, and the necklace gives us very good statistics as well as survival (something in which the sacred priest is a bit lazy) . If you have the trinket, the ideal would be to take it along with the Favor of the Prophet (for the mastery it brings).

The approximate order, from best to worst, would be the following:

Useful addons

ElvUI: Addon that modifies your entire interface according to practically everything you want to see.

Bartender4/dominos: Addon to customize action bars, add keyboard shortcuts, etc.

MikScrollingBattleText: Floating text addon of combat, healing, skill damage, etc.

deadlybossmods: Addon that alerts us to the abilities of the gang leaders.

Recount/Skada Damage Meter: Addon to measure dps, agro generated, deaths, healings, damage received, etc.

Grid/Healthbot Continued: Addon to view the entire raid in a window and create shortcuts for healings.

EpicMusicPlayer: Addon to listen to personalized music. It is always good to listen to Judas Priest or Type O Negative while you crunch Argus 😉
