The Best Pets for the Hunter - Part 1

cover pets for the hunter

Hey good! How is life for Azeroth? Today we will bring you which are the best pets for the Hunter, according to your specialization, and all the information on how to get them. Without further ado ... to the nougat!

Pets for the Hunter

As we will see below, Azeroth is surrounded by countless insects, animals, monstrosities, demons… and Hunters can tame many of them (there is a certain demon that can be captured, believe me). For this reason and many others, today I want to show you which Hunter pets are the best, apart from adding information about them, their abilities and where they can be found.

From an early age, the call of the wild draws some adventurers from the comfort of their homes into the unforgiving primal world. Those who endure become hunters and some even learn to forge numerous friendships with the creatures of the wild.

In Legion, Beast Hunters will get a second pet named Hati thanks to the power of their artifact weapons.

While many of the pets we'll be featuring can be difficult to obtain and won't grant players huge buffs, they will be worth tame. The choice at the end of the day is personal since everyone may like one or the other, there will not be a choice that is far above the others. Even so, we will leave you a list of the utility that the active ones of some of the pets offer us:

-Normal without active

-Normal with active

  • Basilisks (damage reduction) Tenacity
  • SeamTurtle (damage reduction) Tenacity
  • Beetle (damage reduction) Tenacity
  • A crack (damage reduction) Tenacity
  • River beast (healing reduction) Tenacity
  • Spiders (reduced movement speed) Cunning
  • Crane (resurrection faculty) Cunning
  • Scorpid (healing reduction) Tenacity
  • Fox (chance to dodge) Ferocity
  • Mono (chance to dodge) Cunning
  • Warped stalkers (reduced movement speed) Tenacity
  • Crocolisk (reduced movement speed) Tenacity
  • Moth (resurrection ability) Ferocity
  • Direhorn (spell reflector) Tenacity
  • Crab (damage reduction) Tenacity
  • Scavenger (healing reduction) Ferocity
  • Nether ray (BL) Cunning
  • rylak (fall speed reduction) Cunning
  • Felino (stealth) Ferocity

-Exotic

  • Quilens (damage reduction / resurrection ability) Ferocity
  • Shale spider (damage reduction) Tenacity
  • Spirit beast (healing / stealth) Ferocity
  • Core Hound (BL / area damage) Ferocity
  • Demosaurus (corpse healing / healing reduction) Ferocity
  • Worm (area damage) Tenacity
  • Quimera (reduced movement speed / area damage) Cunning
  • Silithid (reduced movement speed) Cunning
  • Water strider (ability to walk on water) Cunning

Marksmanship and Survival specializations, however, will not be able to capture exotic beasts so the choice will be based on your tastes. Marksmanship can bypass your pet to get more damage while Survival lets you use your pet to optimize its damage.

Exotic Pets - Spirit Beasts

Spirit beasts can only be tamed by Beast Hunters since it has the majestic ability to tame exotic beasts, acquiring great advantages. As their name suggests, Beast Hunters are characterized by the control they have over the animals they have tamed, summoning them into combat at the most opportune moments and inflicting large amounts of damage on their enemies. The specialization was (and still is) one of the strongest for the number of pets it can summon in combat. With the right talents, these hunters can be a great threat to their enemies.

The best pets that Beast Hunters can use are Spirit beast since they are the most exotic, as they grant them abilities that normal beasts could never obtain. Depending on the beast we choose, the specialization of the pet will vary although the basic abilities that we will obtain from the Spirit Beasts will always be the same:

arcturis

Spectral Bear hunter pet

arcturis can be found in Brown Hills and has only one spawn point. Typically, there will be hunters waiting for your appearance. His respawn is unknown and there is no key time to appear, therefore we will have to wait indefinitely until his respawn and be the first to tame the beast. The point where this NPC can be found will be the following:

arcturis map respawn

It is located on a small islet in the middle of the river. You can use the NPCScan Addon to find its location more easily.

Spirit porcupines

Each of these three exotic pets have the same tame way only that the model and its location are different.

If you are a maximum level, you do not have to worry about the damage of these NPCs since they will hardly inflict. The only concern you should be careful with is not to kill them early, so try to leave them alive.

If you don't own any of the post-Mist of Pandaria expansions, we recommend that you follow the guide below:

To tame these pets we must maintain a prudent distance since, if we move too far, it will begin to throw spheres at us that will lower us by half our life since they will damage by%. However, if we get close to melee, it will also deal a large amount of damage to us. The technique to tame it will be to use Concussion Shot y Tar trap to slow it down and prevent it from reaching us until the porcupine's life drops to 20% and the buff that prevents us from taming it disappears. During combat it will be better not to have the pet active since we will lose a lot of time reviving it because it will kill it in one hit. When the debuff is gone, we will move away to tame her enough that, with the slowdown, it takes a few seconds to reach us.

The spawn of these pets is about 15 minutes, so there will be no problem if a hunter takes the rare from you or someone else tries to kill it.

-hutia

hutia hunterpet

Huria map respawn hunterpet

The location of hutia found in the Jade Forest:

In this same place, it appears in three different places, without much distance between them. You can take a little tour of that location if you can't find it.

During the encounter, this pet will heal so we must act quickly to prevent it from executing its healing.

-Tire

gumi hunterpet

gumi respawn map hunterpet

This pet can be found at just one point in Kun-Lai Summit:

The area is not very large and we will not have much space to escape so the most sensible thing is to be careful and walk the combat area around the edges.

-degu

degu hunterpet map respawn

Unlike the other two porcupines, degu You will find yourself walking from one place to another in the location that we have placed for you. We must be careful because, although the combat area is very extensive, if we move too far we could reset it.

gondria

gondria ghost hunterpet

gondria It has a peculiarity that other pets do not have and that is that, although it appears in a lot of places, it will not always have the same appearance. As we can see in the image, the color of this varies between three different colors. There is no single pattern or respawn that you can trust to tame just one of them so it will be pure luck to find the one you want out of the three. The way to tame them is very simple since you only have to find it and use the faculty.

The location of gondria can be found at the following points in Zul'Drak:

gondria map respawn hunterpet

As we have mentioned before, the respawn of this pet is random and it may take several hours since the last time it appeared, so the only thing we can tell you is that you go around these points a few times until you find it.

karma

Karoma Hunterpet

This pet can be found in Twilight Highlands in the following locations:

karom map respawn hunterpet

The respawn time is a few hours so it will probably take a couple of laps for a long time to find it. karma It does not have any mechanics that we must follow to be able to capture it so it will not be necessary to complicate. Keep in mind that karma it will be in constant motion and may not appear within the red circles we have placed.

Ghost crawlers

ghost crawler hunterpet

This little crab has a long route that it will constantly travel along. Its respawn time is also unknown so you will have to go around and around until you find it. The area is not that extensive either if we count on that in these areas of leveling we go to 400% of movement speed. The areas in which it can appear are:

ghost crawler map respawn hunterpet

To capture this pet we will need a little patience since we will have to follow a basic mechanic. The first thing is that while it is in motion it will go about 20 seconds in stealth (it cannot be avoided with a flare) and then it will be another 20 seconds without invisibility, changing all the time from visible to invisible.
This pet is immune to all slows and disables. It does not matter what equipment we have because this pet, while we domesticate it, will inflict damage by percentage.

To tame this pet without problems, it is best to stay away from the NPC, floating in the water. In this way we will prevent it from getting close and we will capture it with great ease. Therefore, at the end of the day, the mechanics end up being useless.

You can access the following link to know the mechanical mounts that can be tamed:

Hunter's Legion Mechanical Pets Guide

And so far the first collection of pets for the Hunter. In this first article I have placed you the pets that I consider to be the most striking, although in the following compilations I will bring you another type of very interesting exotic pets. We hope this article has helped you and see you in the next compilation!

Excellent, but I am full and I do not know how to erase the pets that I have tamed to tame more

Good Jimmy! I appreciate your comment and I hope it has been helpful. To eliminate the pets you already have, you can summon the ones you don't like and, in the same window where the health of your companion appears, press [Right click]> [Abandon]. Think very well which ones you are going to delete and remember that, once deleted, you will not be able to recover them. A hug!
