Ny'alotha, City of Awakening

Enter the abode of nightmares in Ny'alotha, Waking City, a band deep in the void-pregnant heart of the Black Empire. Face unhinged heralds and inscrutable terrors, in the end, come face-to-face with N'Zoth himself in the ultimate battle for the survival of Azeroth.

The sleeping city of Ny'alotha has awakened. For the first time in millennia, N'Zoth takes his throne in the Black Empire. Their armies emerge from dark chambers to once again wreak havoc on Azeroth. With the world shaken by these invasions, a desperate plan is hatched: the champions of the Horde and the Alliance meet to face this ancient enemy in their own kingdom in a final battle that will decide the fate of the universe.

Mythical Drest'agath

Drest'agath

The grotesque amalgam of flesh known as Drest'agath lay beneath Ny'alotha for millennia until N'zoth's return awakened her. Now it rises like a hideous boil, ready to burst and spread its vile pestilence throughout Azeroth.

In addition to creating puddles of Void Infused Ichor, destroying a tentacle partially fills the agony bar of Drest'agath. Upon reaching 100 points of agony, Drest'agath start throwing Agonizing pains.

Strategy

It is a combat similar to the heroic mode but with many more enemies that will make the encounter difficult. We will have to control who to kill at all times.

The composition of the band would consist of:

  • 2 tanks
  • 3 healers
  • Balanced dps

In this mode, each time an appendix dies, it will release four Void Infused Ichor that we will take advantage of to harm Drest'agath, with the difference that now we will have 1 minute with 15 seconds of damage to use it again. This will make us have to control our extra damage abilities very well in order to maximize the dps.

On the other hand, every time an appendix dies it will apply a damage to Drest'agath so that it adds 30 energy that can be accumulated. For this reason, it is vital that there is more than 6 seconds between the death of one appendix and another. Failure to do so will reset the debuff and give double or more energy. This implies that when it reaches 100 energy it will Agonizing pains, doing quite a bit of damage. We can get hold of WeakAuras that will show you the energy that Drest'agath is going to put into and know when it will do this damage. In this way we can control it better (you have the link in the description of the video).

Another addition that we will have in this mythical mode is that when an appendage dies, all those of the same type will make their 100 energy ability, which will force us to have to control certain abilities very well.

The main problem that we are going to find and that usually causes the death of the entire gang is the damage caused by the ability Entropic collision plus that of Agonizing pains, in any order. Entropic collision It will do a powerful raid hit along with all the living tentacles, minimizing the damage the further we move away. Agonizing pains It will be 10 seconds of continuous raid damage. The ideal is to control the collision time, which is fixed, and see if it joins with Agonizing pains, which goes for energy. If we see that they match, we must be close to the healing areas and keep the band alive. If we control this damage well, combat will become much easier.

Now we will see the priorities to reduce the damage even more if possible, seeing it in waves.

First we will face two eyes that we will kill either at the same time, or with a difference of more than 6 seconds between them. Previously we will have assigned dps to catch these icores and take advantage of the damage in Drest'agath, Together with Heroism, Blood lust o Temporal distortion. Before long, the first wave of three tentacles, an eye and a maw will appear. In this case, our priority will be to avoid having more than one live tentacle and always take advantage of the icores that fall once we do not have the damage. We should be able to take out two more tentacles before the next wave and make everything as clean as possible. Melees will never hit the jaws and never be near them, or they will take the detriment of Healing Absorption.

The first combo of Entropic collision traditional Agonizing pains being all butted it will be relatively easy to heal. But later, when the second wave of appendages will come out, the damage will be much higher by having another extra tentacle. We must always prioritize tentacles, but we must also take into account that there is time for it. This means that if we have a Entropic collision in less than 10 seconds it will be a bit absurd to go to the tentacle. Depending on our dps and what we end up with, we will have to eliminate one or the other.

In the following waves, only one tentacle will generally come out, so we will minimize the collision damage, but at the same time the rest of the appendages will accumulate, so we will have to control their 100 energy abilities. From here we will have the predefined waves, although more than an order, because each band has a different dps, they will be priorities. The tentacles, as long as there is more than one, will be priority for all. If we have excess damage we can designate other Dps at a distance to focus on the jaws or eyes, and if we carry Dps with damage over time we can designate them to "dowry" everything at all times.

As we said, the priority is to always catch the ichor whenever we can to be able to hit Drest'agath, that tentacles do not accumulate and control collisions and pain.

To more or less follow the time, in the minute 3:22 approximately with the third wave, we should have finished with almost all the tentacles leaving a new one with eyes and jaws, which if we prioritize it should make this straight of the match easier.

With the wave of minute 4:55, which would be the fourth, we will have another extra tentacle surrounded by jaws. We must be careful not to get too close. Once finished with this tentacle, there would only be one away that we will leave and clean the rest of the appendages to take advantage of their icores. Having so many jaws and eyes close we should take advantage of all the Dps with Drest'agath. We will have until the minute 6:26 more or less that the fifth wave will come out with two tentacles. Even so, it would be convenient to have three tentacles that we end up with the closest to Drest'agath.

This is the final stretch in which we will have to finish with eyes and jaws and take advantage to hurt Drest'agath and try to end it before the 8:10 minute where two new tentacles will come out that would do the collision damage quite high.

It is very important to adjust the times of the appendices well, because depending on our band and our dps, we will have to end one or the other at different times.
