Hey good ones! How's life going for you? We hope well because today we bring you the official guide to GuíasWoW of Taloc, first boss of this recently added new raid, Uldir. In this guide we will face the Mythic difficulty. Without further ado, let's get to it!

Uldir

Uldir is the first band that we will see in this expansion, Battle for Azeroth, where we will practically see that the blood is everywhere. As the good champions that we are, we will try to destroy all these monstrosities that lurk in the dark and have future plans to destroy all life on Azeroth ... or at least modify it.

Uldir

Thousands of years ago, trying to understand the nature of their eternal enemy, the Titans built this massive underground facility to isolate and investigate captured specimens. By studying the weak points and reactions of the Void energy that binds the ancient gods, they hoped to find a way to neutralize that energy. They were very wrong. The facility was sealed so that the horrors it contained would never be unleashed on Azeroth. But those seals have been broken ...

Taloc

taloc uldir

As part of the first meeting of this band, we have Taloc, a guardian with the sole purpose of containing the possible monstrosities that try to escape.

The Titan Guardians established multiple systems to detect and contain any breaches of the facility. His most powerful construct, Taloc, has been watching for any spikes of corruption in the region, and has extirpated the one he found. But as the millennia passed, its internal defenses began to wane, leaving it vulnerable to corruption.

Before starting the fight, there will be two bloody tentacles that will keep the boss at bay. These are not part of the encounter, so we can destroy them without problems.

As with the dungeons, we will have the collaboration of Yuki y zashi. Here is the complete guide to Mythical Taloc:

Without further ado, let's start with the boss's guide.

Summary

Magic fueled by Taloc's blood floods the room Blood storm. Its powerful Blood mace will absorb the Blood storm close.

Upon reaching 35% health, Taloc's fuel spills onto the sand, causing him to have to Deactivate and that it engenders Clotted blood y Volatile droplet.

All the  Volatile droplet will continue to appear when Taloc reabsorbs his fuel, at which point he cancels Deactivate, and faces the gang again.

Tips

-Tank

-DPS

  • Stay away from the Tanks at all times. Try not to get in the middle of the Tank and the boss when it has at least 100p. of energy since, Blood mace y Recover mace deal a massive amount of damage to allies hit.
  • Defeat the Volatile droplet before they can reach an ally and inflict Flammable fuel.
  • Don't stand in front of Taloc when he casts Bloody static energy.

- Healer

  • Try not to get in the middle of the Tank and the boss when it has at least 100p. of energy since, Blood mace y Recover mace deal a massive amount of damage to allies hit.
  • Allies will take considerable damage when affected by Plasma discharge.
  • Don't stand in front of Taloc when he casts Bloody static energy.

Strategy

When starting the fight and as we can see before starting the encounter, Taloc will be at 60% of his maximum health, divided into three different phases. In this Mythic difficulty, we will explain the normal abilities (as we did in Normal and Heroic) and add new ones from this difficulty.

In addition to the health and damage scaling, we will see the following changes:

1st Phase

During the first phase (which will be the easiest of all), we will start it at 60% of the boss's life and it will last up to 35% of his health. In this phase, it will be necessary to emphasize several mechanics that we must take into account although they are quite simple.

First, the boss will place you random players Plasma discharge, leaving behind a Blood storm. We must avoid these areas and place them on one side of the room and as close as possible since they will accumulate and the only way to clean them will be when Taloc reaches 100 points. of energy. The idea is to place the puddles together so that as many of them can be cleaned.

When this happens and it is clearly seen that the boss will reach 100 p. of energy, the tank that does NOT have the boss at that moment, will go towards the area where there are more bloody puddles (be careful not to step on them) and will taunt the boss. It must be tapped before the channeling of Blood mace. During this channeling and its subsequent lunge towards the tank's location, it will damage and repel all players in Taloc's path, so other players will have to step aside and try not to stand in front of him when this occurs. Once the faculty has been channeled and a couple of puddles have been cleaned up, within a couple of seconds, Taloc will want Take back your mace, performing exactly the same mechanics as with Blood mace.

Something important that we must know is that Blood mace y Take back your mace They will also deal fairly large area damage, reducing depending on how far away the boss is from the players, so we should stay away during the onslaught.

Finally, in this phase it will also launch Bloody static energy, marking a player and launching a handful of volleys in many directions, dealing damage and knocking back hit players.

As an addition to this difficulty, Taloc will gain two new abilities.

  • Hardened arteries It will mark half of the players in the band (except for the tanks) and will force us to separate ourselves from the rest of the players since it will explode and inflict a large amount of damage.
  • Swollen heart will deal a debuff to the main tank and deal a massive amount of damage that will kill it, unless there are enough allies within its effect radius to spread the damage across all players.

Since both abilities are activated at the same time, unmarked players will have to go to the tank to reduce the damage it takes, while the rest of the marked players move away to detonate their debuff.

2st Phase

Once Taloc has reached 35% of his maximum health, he will be placed in the central area of the arena and will become invulnerable to damage as his systems begin to eject some of his fuel. This phase will last 70 seconds during the transition from the elevator to the ground floor.

Here we will have to deal with two types of enemies, Volatile droplet what will you use Flammable fuel y Clotted blood > Leave > Blood storm.

Once the second phase begins, we will all gather at the same point to more easily destroy the Clotted blood since these leave a Blood storm. The idea is to rotate around the room slowly killing the bloods that come out one by one. In the video that we have attached to the beginning of the article, you can see it more clearly.

Volatile droplet, will mark an ally and head towards him. Once it reaches it, it will launch Flammable fuel, repelling all players around it and dealing a small amount of damage. We must bear in mind that we are in an elevator without borders, so if these droplets reach us, they will throw us off the stage, inevitably causing us to die. To avoid this, the other tank will be in charge of entering the puddles and detonating the droplets as far as possible from the band. Taloc will not remove the bloody puddles left when entering Phase 2, so it is important to leave them in a corner of the stage and close together.

In addition, we will also see the faculty Uldir's defensive beam, placing horizontal beams that will go from side to side of the stage. These inflict a lot of damage if we get to touch them, so it will be important to always be watching what is under the elevator to avoid this extra damage (or death). In this Mythic difficulty, there will be a greater amount of lightning, which will force us to be much more careful.

3st Phase

Once the 70 seconds have passed, we will have reached the lower part of the room. Taloc will push us off the platform, starting the last phase of the match.

In the first place and before attacking Taloc again, if they have Clotted blood alive with respect to the previous phase, we must eliminate them as quickly as possible.

During this phase, Taloc will continue to perform the same abilities as he did in Phase 1, except that a Volatile droplet, marking a player. In this case, the tank that is free and does not have the boss, will be in charge of intercepting these droplets to prevent allies from receiving extra damage, although it is not really necessary if it is not relatively close.
