Weapons Warrior - PvE Guide - Patch 8.0.1

Warrior weapons

Hello guys. Today we will talk about the Weapons Warrior in Battle for Azeroth. A small guide for those of you who are somewhat lost with this specialization. I hope it helps you.

Warrior Weapons

In this guide we will talk about the talents, skills and rotation of the Weapon Warrior in patch 8.0.1. As I always tell you in all my guides, this is an orientation on how you can take a Warrior Weapon and get performance, but with the use of his character each player acquires the skill and way of playing appropriate to him and decides at all times what talents and skills to use. No guide is to the letter, but if you start now with your new Warrior / Weapons or are somewhat lost, this is your guide;).

I also have to tell you that all this can change at any time, both on my part and because some talents or abilities change throughout this expansion that has just begun. If that happens, I will keep you posted. Let's go to hell!

A battle-hardened master of two-handed weapons, they use mobility and relentless attacks to take down their opponents. Weapon warriors wait for the best time to strike their enemies with overwhelming force. Warriors are the bravest fighters on the battlefield, and their fearlessness in combat instills courage in allies and terror in enemies. Experts in the handling of all types of melee weaponry and possessors of incredible physical strength and skill, the warriors are perfectly prepared to fight in the front line and act as commanders on the battlefield.

Talents

Several talents have disappeared in patch 8.0.1:

  • Fearlessness: Your abilities cost 10% less Rage.
  • Overwhelm: Overwhelms the enemy, dealing 375% physical damage. It cannot be blocked, dodged, or parried, and has a 60% increased chance to critically strike. Your other melee abilities have a chance to trigger Overwhelm.
  • Sweep strokes: Mortal Strike and Execute hit 2 more nearby targets.
  • Shock wave: Sends a wave of force in a frontal cone, dealing (47.5% of attack power) points of damage and stunning all enemies within 10 yards for 3 seconds. Reduces cooldown by 20 seconds if it hits at least 3 targets.
  • Trauma: Slam, Whirlwind, and Execute now cause the target to bleed, dealing an additional 20% damage over 6 seconds. With multiple uses, more damage is accumulated.
  • Deadly combo: Mortal Strike now has a maximum of 2 charges.
  • Titanic might: Increases the duration of Colossal Smash by 8 seconds and reduces its cooldown by 8 seconds.
  • Directed anger: Focus your rage on your next Mortal Strike, increasing the damage it deals by 30%. It stacks up to 3 times. It is not affected by the global cooldown.
  • Timely blows: Your melee abilities have a chance of up to 60%, based on the target's health lost, to trigger an additional attack that deals 160% points of physical damage and generates 5 points of rage.

Although I am still adapting to the changes we have had, here is the build of the talents that I am currently using with my Warrior Weapons. Anyway, at the moment we have a lot of ease to be able to change talents depending on the boss we are going to face, so if one of them is not to your liking, you can try any other that you think may be better for you.

  • Level One: Skullcrusher
  • Level One: Double load
  • Level One: Massacre / Battle Fervor
  • Level One: Bouncing Stride
  • Level One: belligerent
  • Level One: Enter to kill / Avatar
  • Level One: Anger control

Level One

  • War machine: Your auto attacks generate 10% more Rage. Killing an enemy instantly generates 10 Rage points and increases your movement speed by 30% for 8 seconds.
  • Sudden death: Your attacks have a chance to cause your next Execute to cost no rage, can be used against any target regardless of their health level, and deal damage as if you had spent 40 rage points.
  • Skull Crusher: Pummel an enemy's skull, dealing (84% of attack power) points of physical damage. Generate 20 rage points.

I have chosen Skull Crusher because it is the one that convinces me the most to maintain the rotation and allows me to generate anger.

Level One

  • Double load: Increases the maximum number of Charge charges by 1 and reduces its cooldown by 3 seconds.
  • Impending victory: Instantly attacks the target, dealing (39.312% of attack power) points of damage and healing you for 20% of your maximum health. Killing an enemy that grants experience or honor resets the cooldown of Impending Victory.
  • Stormy discharge: Throw your weapon at an enemy, dealing (16.38% of attack power) points of physical damage and stunning them for 4 seconds.

I have chosen Double load for the mobility it gives me.

Level One

  • Slaughter: You can now use Execute on targets below 35% of their health.
  • Battle fervor: Whirlwind deals 10% more damage and Slam hits your primary target.
  • Tear: Wounds the target for an instant (23.2128% of attack power) physical damage and an additional (81.12% of attack power) bleed damage over 12 seconds.

Here I have opted for Slaughter although in some combats with more objectives sometimes I also use Battle fervor.

Level One

  • Second wind: Restores 6% health every 1 second when you have not taken damage for 5 seconds.
  • Bouncing stride: Reduces the cooldown of Heroic Leap by 15 seconds, and Heroic Leap now also increases your running speed by 70% for 3 seconds.
  • Defensive attitude: A defensive combat state that reduces all damage you take by 20%, and all damage you deal by 10%. Lasts until canceled.

Here I have chosen Bouncing stride

Level One

  • Collateral damage: When your abilities deal damage to a second target by Sweeping Strikes, you recover 20% of their Rage cost.
  • BelligerentHit the ground and break the armor of all enemies within 8 yards, dealing (150% of attack power) points of physical damage and increasing your damage dealt to them by 30% for 10 seconds.
  • Crack: Hit all enemies in front of you with a sweeping attack that deals (45% of attack power) points of physical damage. Hitting 3 or more targets causes Deep Wounds.

This time the talent that I like the most for my game is Belligerent. On some certain occasions I also use Crack o Collateral damage

Level One

  • Go in to kill: Colossal Smash increases your Haste by 10%, or 20% if the target's health is below 20%. Lasts 10 seconds.
  • Avatar: Transform into a Colossus for 20 seconds, causing you to deal 20% more damage and remove all Rooting and Snapping effects. Generate 20 rage points.
  • Deadly calm: Reduces the Rage cost of your abilities by 100% for 6 seconds.

This time I have chosen Go in to kill for most encounters. In some I also sing for Avatar.

level 100

  • Anger control: Every 20 rage points you spend reduces the remaining cooldown of Warbringer and Bladestorm Colossus Smash and Bladestorm by 1 second.
  • DreadnoughtOverwhelm has 2 charges and increases the damage of your next Mortal Strike by an additional 10%.
  • Devastating: Launches a spinning weapon at the target location, dealing [7 * (44.226% of attack power)] points of damage to all enemies within 8 yards over 7 seconds. Generates 7 rage points each time it deals damage.

This time I have chosen Anger control which is the one that convinces me the most and sustains the entire fight very well.
