Destruction Warlock - PVE Guides - Patch 7.3.5

wizard destruction

Very good! How's that going buddy? Today I bring you a guide for the Destruction Warlock in which I will show you which are the best talents for this patch, equipment and consumables, among others, to get the full potential of this specialization.

Destruction Warlock

As masters of the demonic arts, Warlocks spread vileness and summon demons to assist in combat.

Strengths

  • It has a lot of damage in single-target, dual-target, or even multiple-target encounters. Extremely powerful when there are only two targets in combat thanks to one of its abilities.
  • It can adapt to any situation that does not require a lot of mobility.

Weak points

  • The casts are slightly longer than the other classes.
  • Spends a lot of mana. For this reason it has the faculty Life transfusion.
  • His Burst damage can't be compared to other classes.
  • This character needs to stay immobile to deal damage.

Modifications in patch 7.3.5

  • There have been no changes in this patch.

Talents

Next I will leave you several ways to face your enemies and different ways of developing the encounters, be it massive objectives or encounters with just one objective. As in the previous guide, choose the ones that you like the most or are close to your possibilities.

-Talents in yellow: they can become the best depending on which fights, in this case, they are the best for single-objective encounters.
-Talents in blue: you can choose them in case you don't like the ones that appear in yellow, there won't be much difference in DPS, that is, the best option after yellow.
-Green Talents: These talents are best for doing vastly more damage in areas, in other words, encounters with more than three targets.

  • Level 15: Smoke Explosion
  • Level 30: Eradication
  • Level 45: Demonic Circle
  • Level 60: Soul Harvest
  • Level 75: Demon Skin
  • Level 90: Grimoire of Servitude
  • Level 100: Channel Demon Fire

sorcerer destruction talents

Talents with a red cross don't necessarily have to be worthless. We recommend that you read the notes that we will post below to understand the reasons why we have crossed them out.

lvl 15

  • Smoke explosion: Casting Conflagrate reduces the cast times of your next two Incinerate or Chaos Bolt by X%.
  • Roaring flare: Conflagrate increases your remaining Immolate damage on the target by X% until Immolate expires or resets.
  • Shadow burn: Hits a target for X damage. Shadowflame damage. Generates X Soul Shard Chunk and 0 extra Soul Shard if the target dies within 5 sec.

In this branch of talents, our only clear choice will be Smoke explosion. It is the best choice for PVE when we have the artifact weapon partially raised.

lvl 30

  • Reverse entropy: Chaos Bolt and Rain of Fire restore X% of your maximum mana and deal X% more damage.
  • Eradication: Chaos Bolt increases the damage you deal to the target by X% for 7 sec.
  • Empowered Life Transfusion: Life Tap increases your damage done by X% for 20 sec.

In this second talent branch, our best option for one-target or even two-target encounters will be Eradication.

As an alternative for encounters with more than three objectives, Empowered Life Transfusion it can be a good talent for your areas.

lvl 45

  • Demonic circle: Summons a demonic circle for 15 min, allowing you to cast it again to teleport to its location and remove all movement slowing effects. Limited to 1.
  • Deadly spiral: Terrifies a fleeing enemy target and incapacitates them for 3 sec. Heals you for X% of maximum health.
  • Shadow fury: Stuns all enemies within Xm for 4 sec.

Although I personally like to use Deadly spiral because I still don't have too much equipment and they blow me up right away, this branch will pull more towards the personal. Demonic circle can be used for both PVE and PVP, in this way we can wait until the last second to launch our Chaos discharge and cast this ability to not take damage from any source ... if we have an area under our feet. Shadow furyHowever, it can be useful as long as there are a large number of targets ready to kill us with very powerful abilities.

lvl 60

  • Cataclismo: Conjures a cataclysm at the target location, inflicting X damage. Shadowflame damage to all enemies within Xm and inflicts Agony on them.
  • Fire and brimstoneIncinerate now hits all enemies near your target.
  • Soul Harvest: Increases your and your pet's damage by X%. Lasts 12 sec, increased by X sec for each target affected by your (Affliction -> Agony) (Demonology -> Fatality) (Destruction -> Immolate), up to a maximum of X s.

For this branch of talents, we will consider the three ways of playing the Warlock.

Cataclismo Area burst damage useful for detecting many targets.

Fire and brimstone He is a good talent for constant areas, meetings where there are more than three objectives.

Soul Harvest the best talent for one or two goal matches.

lvl 75

  • Demon skin: Your Soul Parasite's absorb now passively recharges at a rate of X% of maximum health every 5 seconds, and can absorb up to X% of maximum health.
  • Burning momentum: Increases your movement speed by X%, but also damages you by X% of your maximum health every 5 sec. Movement reduction effects cannot drop your movement speed below X% of normal movement speed. Lasts until canceled.
  • Dark pact: Sacrifice X% of your demon's current health to gain a shield with X% of sacrificed health for 20 sec. If you do not have a demon, your health will be sacrificed. Can be used while suffering loss of control effects.

I will not deny that I always take the coolest talents whatever the circumstance. That is why you should never listen to me when I say "personally" ... really.

Personally for this branch I usually use Burning momentum. Now you go and use it, for me.

The best option for this branch of talent is Demon skin. It is used in encounters where we should not have a lot of mobility and the damage we receive is not so high.

Dark pact currently has no significant utility. It can be used for certain encounters but, for the moment, we will choose any of the two above.

lvl 90

  • Grimoire of Supremacy: You can maintain control of even greater demons indefinitely, allowing you to summon an apocalyptic guard or infernal as a permanent pet.
  • Grimoire of servitude: Summons a second demon to fight for you for X, dealing X% more damage. Has a 1,5 min cooldown. Upon being summoned, the demon will instantly use one of its special abilities.
  • Grimoire of Sacrifice: Sacrifice your demon to gain Demonic Power, causing your spells to also sometimes inflict Xp. additional Shadow damage to the target and other enemies within X yards. Lasts 1 hour X until you summon a demon.

For this branch of talents we will choose the Grimoire of servitude for any match below all three goals.

Grimoire of Sacrifice Although it can be useful, it ends up losing a lot of damage.

Grimoire of Supremacy It is not recommended at all since it does not rent compared to the previous talents. It is better to have the three minute cd of both daemons before this option.

lvl 100

  • Wreak havoc: Reduces the cooldown of Havoc 20 sec.
  • Channel Demon Fire: Fires X bolts of felfire over 3 sec at random enemies affected by your Immolate within X yards. Each shock inflicts X p. Fire damage to the target and X. Fire damage to nearby enemies.
  • Soul conduit: Each Soul Shard you spend has an X% chance to be restored.

And to finish with the selection of talents, in this last branch, we will also focus on the number of enemies in an encounter.

Wreak havoc he is the best talent when there are two permanent objectives in the match.

Channel Demon Fire it is usually used for a single purpose. It has a great potential for damage.

Soul conduit is the best talent for encounters with many targets, as well as residual damage.

Artefact

Before attaching the image that will help you to make the best paths in your artifact weapon, I must warn you that at level 110 you will directly unlock Artifact Knowledge at level 41, obtaining an artifact point multiplier of 5.200.000 %. Perhaps it is best to wait at maximum level to worry about the roads and not waste a lot of time in this regard.

Practical tips

  • When we start the fight, we will use the following rotation: Immolate -> Grimoire: Imp -> Summon Apocalyptic Guard-> Dimensional Rift x3 -> Chaos Bolt -> Conflagrate x2 -> Incinerate until we have two Soul Fragments -> Chaos Bolt ...
  • Always keep Immolate on the target.
  • When there are two objectives in the encounter, we must use Havoc whenever we have it available.
  • Summon Hellish is a good ability for encounters where there are many targets, as well as Rain of Fire.
  • To maximize the damage of this specialization, the ideal will be to keep immobile at all times.
  • We must be attentive to our mana since this character consumes a lot.
  • With the right talents to make areas, our Incinerate will hit multiple targets at once, granting us tons of Soul Shards, and can launch multiple Rains of Fire in a row.

Hi, excuse me maybe some percentage of the stats? Thanks for the guide, it's good

Hey very good! How's everything going? I appreciate very much that you took a second to comment on the guide and I apologize for not putting the percentages, we do not usually do it. However, I hope I can answer your question in the best possible way. First of all, you won't need to focus too much on the percentage since you can prioritize the pieces that fall on you based on the stats we place. However, as we want to prioritize haste over critical hit at a low ITLVL, we think having it over 35% may be optimal enough to get enough potential out of the spec, followed by critical hit at 22%; 21% versatility and 10% mastery. These are data that I have calculated on the fly taking into account that my character does not have a lot of ITLVL, so I recommend you to guide more by the table of the bisses for the specialization of this guide. I hope I have answered your question well and that you have a great night. For the horde!
