The Lich King

The Lich King is the last encounter in Icecrown Citadel and is the last encounter in the World of Warcraft expansion: Wrath of the Lich King.

The encounter against the Lich King requires maximum concentration on the part of the raid. A small personal mistake can quickly turn into a band error and, in no time, you will all die. This feeling may have been felt during other encounters in Icecrown, but against the Lich King you have to perform a near perfect execution, especially if you have a tight gear for the encounter. Although it can be overwhelming and seem overly complex, as you get used to the spells it casts and when, everything will get easier.

The use of Shadow and Frost resistances is strongly recommended since the vast majority of the Lich King's spells are of these types.

Remember that it is a long fight with 4 phases and with a transition period between phases 1 and 2 and 2 and 3 of 1 minute.

Band composition

The best is to have the standard raid composition: 2 tanks and 3 healers in 10 player mode or 3 tanks and 6 healers in 25 player mode.

Phase 1

The first phase will bring various monsters into combat that players must focus on. Within approximately 15 seconds of combat (and every minute thereafter), the Lich King will summon the first Gangly horror. As soon as the Lich King reaches 70% health, the phase change will begin. Try to match the last batch of monsters dying. As the change begins, everyone must move quickly to the outer area of ​​the platform as the Lich King will go to the center. Ranged DPS and Healers must spread out and DPS must take down any remaining monsters.

Transition

The transition between phases only lasts 1 minute and begins with the Lich King casting Winter with no regrets and it will end with Tremor. To avoid massive damage to Winter with no regrets, all players must remain in the outer ring of the platform at all times.

El Lich King will start to launch Pain and suffering to a random player. This ability is frontal cone that deals damage and leaves a damage in the time that is accumulated. To prevent the damage from being too great, everyone should spread out around the room to help reduce the amount of low doses and damage.

Additionally, the Lich King will summon Ice spheres. These spheres will target a player, marking them with a blue beam and automatically dealing damage with Ice pulse him and the players within 5 meters. Is another reason to keep apart. Phase 2

In this phase, one of the most dangerous skills is to Soul reaper that you will use on the tank. This ability will deal initial damage, followed by 50,000 points of shadow damage 5 seconds later. Although the hit shouldn't kill the tank in one hit, subsequent melee hits would. To avoid this, the secondary tank will provoke him so that, after those 5 seconds, he only receives 50,000 and can recover his health soon with heals.

Though there will no longer be Braceros or Horrors, the Lich King will summon Val'kyr Shadowguards (1 at a time in 10 mode and 3 in 25 mode) that will begin to pick a target, grab it, and begin flying slowly towards the edge of the platform. Phase 3

The last skill to worry about this phase is to Summon Vile Spirits, which will summon 10 spirits to battle floating through the air above the Lich King.
