Skills

Professor Putricide

or

Puddle of slime: Putricide launches a vial of mutated slime and creates a pool of slime that grows every second, where the vial hits. Any player above the puddle will receive between 4,388 and 4,612 points of nature damage.
or

Unstable experiment: Professor Putricide begins to conduct a wicked experiment on all players that will result in a Gas Cloud or Sticky Mucus.

  • Gas Cloud: A kind of orange mucus will appear and start to chase a player. The targeted player will receive 10 doses of Gaseous bloat, which deals 1,219 to 1,281 points of damage every 2 seconds, losing a dose of the Gaseous Bloat every time it hurts. If the gas cloud hits the player, it will cause the player to Expel the gas dealing damage based on the number of doses of Gaseous Bloat all players are close to the target.
  • Sticky mucus: A green mucus will appear and start to chase a player. The target player will receive the Volatile Mucus Adhesive leaving the player immobile and dealing 4,388 to 4,612 points of damage every second. If the volatile mucus hits the target, it will explode dealing between 68,250 and 71,750 points of damage, spread among all nearby targets.

or

Tear gas: Covers the entire room with Tear Gas for 20 seconds preventing players from taking any action but also makes them immune to damage. You will use it right before creating your concoction and it indicates a phase shift.
or

Create concoction: Professor Putricide rummages his lab table for a powerful potion for 15 seconds.
or

Asphyxiating gas pump: Professor Putricide throws gas bombs around him. The bomb deals between 5,363 and 5,637 points of damage every second and explodes after 20 seconds, dealing between 15,600 and 16,400 points of damage. If a player receives the eplosion, their chance to hit will be reduced by 75% for 15 seconds.

  • or

Malleable mucus (2 phase): Professor Putricide throws a malleable ball of green mucus at the target, dealing 14,625 to 15,375 points of damage. Additionally, Slows Attack and Casting Speed by 200% for 15 seconds.

  • or

Mutated force (3 phase): Increases damage dealt and attack speed by 50%. It also causes attacks to cause Professor Putricide to mutate even more, dealing more damage every 3 seconds.

Mutated abomination

or

Mutated transformation: The abomination has an aura that deals between 1950 and 2050 Nature damage to all players.
or

Eat the snots: The abomination eats the nearby mutated slime, reducing the size of the pool, granting it 4 points of snot energy.
or

Regurgitated snotRegurgitated Snot have a surprising effect on the target, reducing their movement speed by 50% and dealing 6,338-6,662 points of damage every 2 seconds for 20 seconds. Costs 50 energy points.
or

Mutated gash: Deals 100% instant weapon damage and reduces the target's resistance to Physical damage by 4% for 20 seconds. It accumulates up to 5 times.

Strategy

The battle against Professor Putricide consists of three phases. The second phase is at 80% health and the third at 35% health. Each time he changes phases, Professor Putricide will launch the player with the Tear gas.

At the beginning of combat, the Main Tank must place the Professor in the center of his laboratory. Although it will only be necessary to use one tank, it is recommended that the Secondary Tank be present to transform into a Mutated Abomination.

The fight

The tank does not have to worry about anything since it does not use any kind of special ability against it although it does a lot of melee damage. The Secondary Tank should approach Professor Putricide's table and drink one of his potions with the sign «Drink me»To be automatically transformed into a Mutated Abomination. It is only possible for there to be one Mutated Abomination at a time. Keep in mind that transformation is a disease so the Healers should avoid eliminating it to let him do his job.

Note that Abominations deal entire raid damage due to their Aura which can be partially mitigated with the Nature Resistance Totem of a Shaman. Once the third phase of combat is reached, the Abomination will disappear.

The puddles of slime

abomination_putricide

Every so often, Professor Putricide will throw a highly visible green bottle (2 in 25 player mode) at random players that will create a Puddle of slime. You just have to get away from the green mucus it leaves behind and keep in mind that it grows over time.

To prevent the puddle from growing, the Mutated Abomination will eat the mucus by standing on top and using the ability Eat the snots continuously thus gaining 4 energy points each time.

Professor Putricide's Unstable Experiments

Every 20-30 seconds, Putricidio will warn that it is going to perform an unstable experiment. This implies that one of two snot may appear: Sticky mucus (green) or Gas Cloud (Orange). The first time in every fight, will appear a sticky mucus. The Snot always appear in the North part of the room and the Gas Clouds always in the South.

To know which mucus is the one that will appear, look at the two huge tanks in the room since one of the two will open and thus you will know what you have to face.

Whatever it touches, you have to prevent the mucus from reaching the target player so the entire DPS of the band will focus on killing them and the Mutated Abomination will even have to use regurgitated Mucus to slow down their progress and help a little DPS though your priority will remain the puddles of slime.

  • If the Sticky mucus, everyone must get close to the target player as if he hits and explodes, all damage will be split between all players and if he is still alive after the explosion, he will choose a new player.
  • If, on the contrary, the Gas cloud, all players must move away from the target player since the damage will not be distributed but will be constant and greater depending on the doses of Gaseous bloat that will fit the target. The player must move so that the path to be traveled is the longest.

Beware of gas pumps!

The last ability that we will see in the first phase, are the Asphyxiating gas pumps. He will cast them in groups of two (four in 25 player mode) and staying on top of them will deal heavy damage. They are like brown jars on the ground so as soon as they land, nearby players should move away.

Phase 2 - 80%

Once he reaches 80% health, Putricide will cast the Tear gas and he will go to drink a concoction that will make him grow 2 tentacles making him gain a new ability. Will launch a mucus ball through the air to a random area and will land on any player left in the area taking a large amount of damage and seeing their attack and casting speed reduced by 200% for 15 seconds.
Professor Putricide will cast this ability on ranged players preferably but if there are no ranged players, he will cast it on melee players.

The rest of the skills of the first phase will remain until you reach the third phase at 35%.

Phase 3 - 35%

Once again, the Tear gas and Putricide will run for a new potion that will make him more mutated, this time gaining a benefit called Mutated Force that will increase his damage and attack speed by 50%. Also, the attacks it receives will cause it to stack Mutated plague on the tank that will deal damage to the entire raid depending on the number of doses.

As we said before, the abomination will disappear at the beginning of the third phase and we will have to use the Secondary Tank. Every 3 doses of Mutated Plague, the tanks will have to rotate so that the raid does not deal as much damage.
However, now that the Mutated Abomination does not exist, there is no one to take care of the Puddle of slime and the Asphyxiating gas pumps although will not appear more Green Snot or Gases.

The battle turns into a race as the slime increases continuously so it is a good time to use all the special abilities and Heroism / Bloodlust.
