Valithria Dreamwalker, is a green dragon that the Scourge has captured and that it uses as a guinea pig for its dark purposes.

Valithria is undoubtedly one of the most "rare" fights seen to date as it introduces a completely different gameplay mechanic than we are used to. While many of the fights are a DPS race, the fight against Valithria is a healing race.

Skills

Dreamwalker's Wrath: Deals 10,000,000 points of Nature damage throughout the room. Valithria will cast this spell once her health reaches 100%. It doesn't hurt the band.

Emerald vigor: Regenerates 200 mana points every 3 seconds and increases damage and healing by 10% for each dose for 30 seconds. Stacks up to 20 times. Vigor is applied to players within 10 meters of a Dream Cloud when it is eliminated in Valithria's dream state.

Summon Nightmare Portal: Valithria will summon a portal that will allow players to move to the Dream State where the Dream Clouds are located.

Flaming skeleton

  • Ball of fire: Inflicts between 3,299 and 3,701 points of fire damage to an enemy. (Between 4,713 and 5,287 points in 25 player mode)

  • Put residueEnvelopes the Skleton in flames for 12 seconds, dealing 3,770 to 4,230 points of fire damage to all players every 2 seconds. (Inflicts between 5,655 and 6,345 points in 25 player mode)

Virulent Zombie

  • Acid Burst: The Zombie explodes, inflicting between 9,425 and 10,575 points of Nature damage instantly and 750 points of Nature damage over 20 seconds to enemies within 15 meters of the explosion. (Inflicts between 14,138 and 15,682 points in 25 player mode)

  • Corrosion: When the Zombie lands a melee blow, the target takes 2,500 N Nature damage every 3 seconds and its armor is reduced by 10%. This effect stacks up to 5 times. Lasts 6 seconds.

Gluttonous abomination

  • Gut Sprayer: Deals 2,000 Nature damage per second and increases Physical damage taken by 25% for 12 seconds. (Inflicts 3,000 points in 25-player mode)

Risen Archmage

  • Frostbolt Volley: Deals 2,828 to 3,172 points of frost damage to nearby players and reduces their movement speed by 50% for 8 seconds. (Deals between 3,770 and 4,230 in 25 player mode)

  • Frost column: Marks the position under a random player from the band. 2 seconds later, a column of frost will appear, dealing 11,310 to 12,690 points of frost damage to all players within 3 meters, launching them into the air. (Inflicts between 14,318 and 15,682 points in 25-player mode)

  • Mana void: Summons a mana void at a random player's position. This Mana Void burns 1,000 mana points per second from all enemies within 6 feet. Lasts 30 seconds.

Suppressor

  • Suppression: Reduces healing received by 10%, lasts until canceled.

Strategy

The objective of this encounter is to heal Valithria, the green dragon captured from the plague. Valithria begins combat with 50% of her health. That is, you will have 5,000,000 health points in 10-player mode and 15,000,000 health points in 25-player mode. The problem is that waves of enemies will appear that will try to make things difficult for us.

Band composition

  • Tanks:2 [10/25]
  • healers: 3+ [10] - 6-7 + [25]
  • DPS: A mixed group of both

In the first attempts to Valithria, it is advisable to accumulate healers.

There are 4 doors in total of which monsters appear, 2 on each side of the room. Both tanks with their respective DPS must be placed on both sides of the room. Most Healers should be assigned to enter the Nightmare Portals.

The fight

Your goal is to minimize the damage the raid takes at all costs to give the healers the maximum amount of time to heal Valithria and thus end the encounter earlier.

Since it's a great healing race, let's see what the Healers have to do.

Eventually, Valithria will open several Nightmare Portals. They are like small green seeds that, when clicked, will transport us to the Emerald Dream where we can float freely. Inside the portal you can see Dream Clouds that, upon reaching them, grant a 10% improvement in Healing and Damage dealt and a mana regeneration of 200 points every 3 seconds for 3 seconds per dose. Although it can be stacked multiple times, the dose usually disappears before a new Nightmare portal appears.
The more doses they get, the better the healers will heal so it is important to optimize these Clouds as much as possible.

The monsters

There will be 5 types of monsters that will try to prevent us from healing Valithria: Burning Skeleton, Risen Archmage, Gluttonous Abomination, Virulent Zombie, and Suppressor. You need to establish a kill order to maximize the threat the tanks should generate and reduce the damage the party takes.

The recommended order is:

  1. Burning Skeleton
  2. Suppressor
  3. Risen Archmage
  4. Virulent Zombie
  5. Gluttonous ablomination

The burning skeletons must be the first to die due to Put residue, an area damage that cannot be interrupted and that, in addition, affects Valithria. If the DPS is concentrated, they should never be able to use it.

Second, the Suppressors. These will appear in small groups and will automatically head to Valithria to cast a spell that will reduce the amount of healing received by Valithria by 10%. They have low health so as long as there are no Skeletons, they should be the first to die.

The next objective is the Risen Archmages. They have 3 skills to worry about. The first is a Frostbolt Volley It hurts everyone and slows them down for a few seconds. Can be interrupted. They can also invoke a Column of Frost, which places a small white circle on the ground under a player's feet. After two seconds, anyone in the circle will take a small amount of damage and be thrown into the air. Finally, they can invoke Mana void which are large areas of void that the mana of anyone standing on top of them burns. While not nearly as dangerous as the Flaming Skeletons, Risen Archmages can cause a bit of chaos if left alive for long.

Next on the list are the Virulent Zombies. They are designed to kill tanks. Each melee hit they make applies an effect that deals a large amount of nature damage and reduces armor by 10%. It accumulates up to 5 times. Additionally, when killed, they will explode, dealing large nature area damage to anyone within 10 meters and dealing a small amount of damage over time. Ranged Healers and DPS should stay away from them when they are being eliminated.

Never stand in front of a Gluttonous Abomination. They have a frontal ability that applies a disease called Gut Sprayer. This ability deals great damage and also increases the physical damage received. When dying, between 8 and 10 worms appear that must be killed quickly as they do considerable damage.

Quick, role-specific tips

 

Tanks

Tank damage in this encounter is greatly reduced. You have to be very alert so that no bug escapes so the important thing is to generate a lot of threat and very quickly.

Gluttonous Abominations must always have their backs to the gang. Remember that when you die, worms will appear, prepare to use your area attacks.

Melee DPS

Watch your threat. This fight is a healing race, not a DPS race. Tanks should be alert but if a DPS dies from not attacking the correct target, it will be of no use.

Virulent Zombies will explode when low on health and deal massive area damage. This ability is not interruptible but the range is short enough that DPS can escape.

Paladin retribution: It is advisable to lend a hand to clean the Gut Sprayer. The Seal of Order will do much more DPS in this combat than the Seal of Corruption / Vengeance.

Ranged DPS

Healers will need to be primarily busy in Valithria so if you can eliminate diseases, be sure to eliminate Gut Sprayer. You have to be attentive to Mana void otherwise you will run out of mana right away.

If you have problems in the first few fights and you are assigned to enter the Nightmare Portal and heal Valithria, it is best to play and place the talents and gems as if the mana were infinite. For example, a Shaman often chooses MP5 gems, it is best to go full Spell Power for this encounter.

Any heal in Valithria will heal the target of your Sign of the Light.

Rationalize Heroism / Bloodlust and Guardian Spirit. Keep in mind that these two skills seriously increase Healing per Second so they should not be wasted.
