Classes

  • Outlaw is a new talent spec, and probably the biggest change alongside Hunters. "Outlaw" replaces combat, we think it fits the fantasy more.

How are you going to keep players interested in Legion for longer?

  • We think there will be a lot of engagement for players through their artifact weapons and the traits associated with them, it's something that will take quite a while. Filling artifact tree is not a month or two months and it also changes your play style.
  • Your class order missions are also a great change that is very flexible. The key is the reward, we want you to feel sorry for not getting it.
  • The concept of escalated reward comes here; There is a base of items that most people will get, but there is a small chance of getting a higher level reward based on what you are doing.

How will the talents change?

  • The choice of talents will be more flexible than it is right now, you don't have to choose an exact talent for each row and otherwise “you're stupid”.
  • Also in Legion new passive talents are added, for those players who do not want to complicate their rotation with more buttons, they can always choose talents with passive abilities. We want there to be more options and styles of play.

Non-linear mission system

How are you going to ensure a consistent story if everyone is doing the different zones at the same time?

  • Each zone has its own story within it, a strong story line that is completely contained.
  • For example, in Valsharah you will meet with the Druids to find out the location of the Corrupted World Tree.
  • In all the areas we have part of the story about the invasion of the Legion, you will have to complete all the areas to complete the story.

Can we be Tauren of Highmountain?

  • We are thinking of doing racial looks like this, we always want more customization, we are talking about it for sure.

What benefits will we get from the free mission choice system?

  • The most important thing is the choice of the players, the time they want to dedicate to each map without losing the importance or difficulty for their level.
  • For example, in Wrath of the Lich King, most people never reached Icecrown before reaching level 80 by following the quest line. Now you don't have to skip the things that you think are easier, you can do it for the first time and it will adapt to your level.
  • With this mod, the zone will always feel difficult, up to level 100 and up to the max level.
  • This is a huge win in the amount of content that can be generated at max level.

Are you worried that people will be overwhelmed by choice when they open your map? Will there be guidelines?

  • Yes! These are called world missions, although they are not going to fatten your mission log or anything, they will jump when you enter the zone. There will be 5 or 6 options in any zone, but you can choose any of them.
  • In your classroom, you will have emissaries daily - one from each zone once a day. This is an advantage to do your free choice missions, if you do what they ask you, you get more reward.
  • There will be a new emissary every day. These missions will accumulate for 3 days, everything can be done on that third day if you have not had time to connect previously.

Dungeons

What is the incentive to do dungeons while moving apart from the story?

  • The Difference here is in the scaled reward, you could get a better item as a dungeon reward than from a quest of the same level.
  • In addition, each area will have a dungeon that will reveal the end of its history.
  • The so-called "Legion Challenge Dungeons" are introduced. They are not to be confused with Challenge Modes.
  • The problem with the current Challenge Mode is that, aside from the fact that it is difficult, once you get to Gold, there is not much motivation to return.
  • With the "stone key" you can repeat the same instance but at a higher level. Through this system the relevance of the dungeons is maintained throughout the entire expansion and they are not obsolete as they are now.
  • The further you go with the "stone key" that week, the greater the reward you will receive. This could reach the level of the objects that the bands drop.
  • There is a limit to the equipment you can get, but there will be a chance that one item will drop a little better than the rest, to keep your spirits up.

Transfiguration

Can you tell us more about the new transfiguration system?

  • The new transmogrification system will allow you to save sets. In this way we save a lot of inventory / bank space.
  • We're going to have a search system for transfigurations.
  • This system is up and running! We are working on getting a good user interface, we definitely want it to be strong at launch.
