Warcraft Dawn Panel - Official Movie Trailer

After so much waiting ... Finally! Today during the opening ceremony of BlizzCon 2015, we have been able to enjoy the Warcraft The Origin Panel, in which we have also been able to see the Official Trailer of the Movie.

After the brief presentation of the director and the actors of the film they passed the trailer; later they gave interviews to some media. We leave you with the translation of the interview of Wow head with Duncan Jones, Chris Metzen and the Warcraft actors.

Warcraft The Origin Panel

  • They wanted to avoid a universe where humans are the good guys and the orcs are the bad guys.
  • Metzen wants to share the history of Warcraft with everyone, even those who do not know the universe of games.
  • The movie for a non-player should turn out to be a lush world, however a Wow fan will find all the rich intricate details. Duncan Jones worked with artists at Blizzard to get all the important little details.
  • Paula Patton loved Garona. She commented on how she looked at her script as if it were a novel. He found work on the film challenging, entertaining, and also a mirror of the world we live in, with people fighting to protect what they love.
  • Duncan Jones and Chris Metzen talked a bit about the challenge of adapting a video game, since WoW is an extension of the players, it is their personality.
  • There was also a Q&A, here is the highlight:
  • Durotan lives in a complicated moment of his life, his land that is dying and he is going to become a father.
  • The actors only saw the finished effects of the orcs after several weeks on the set - it was a relief to see that they weren't cartoons!
  • Gul'dan has an unusual posture - he had to squat and hunched over the entire shoot.
  • The film tells the story of the game Warcraft 1, which was later revised in the novel The Last Guardian. However, it was started in 1994 so the storytelling is a bit stark by today's standards. As time goes on, Metzen talked about refining the mythology and what they did is simplify and modify the story a bit to make it work like a movie. He still loves Warcraft 1 as a game, but it's over 20 years old now. Thus, fans should see the movie as a final version of Warcraft 1.
