Harbingers: The Story of Gul'dan

During the Comic-Con in San Diego on the 21st they showed us what would be the first chapter of the Legion animation series, Harbingers: The Story of Gul'dan. Set in the story of the sorcerer, it tells us the never-before-seen story of the origins of this fearsome and powerful sorcerer. With impressive aesthetics, elaborate soundtrack, and great voice acting, Gul'dan is worthy of the opening of the Harbinger series.

In this cinematic we can learn a little more about Gul'dan but especially, where he comes from, what pushes him to act and what his ambitions are. Gul'dan owes no allegiance to anyone but his Burning Legion masters. On Draenor, the ambitious orc warlock nearly brought his entire race under the yoke of demons. Though his plans failed, Gul'dan survived, and the Legion exiled him to Azeroth, from where he would open a portal that would allow the entry of a monstrous invading army, something neither the Horde nor the Alliance have ever faced.

In the narration, it begins and ends with the same phrase but changing its tone, at the beginning of the video until almost its end Gul'dan narrates his events with a melancholic and left tone but his last sentences are threatening, mixing hatred and anger. It maintains the essence of the old orc warlock whose background we have always seen as totally malevolent. It is true that we did not know the hardships of the past before surrendering and giving his soul to the Burning Legion. It is good to know a little more about the being that we will soon end up hunting once, giving, or so we hope, death once and for all.
