Valley of Eternal Flowers

The Valley of Eternal Flowers, is an area for players who have reached the maximum level or 90, and is the main headquarters of the Pandarian empire. Sealed many years ago, it is now open to those travelers who manage to pass the tests of Xuen, the white tiger, in

A Heavenly Experience.

The ancient seat of the Pandaren empire has been hidden for generations, shrouded in arcane mist and surrounded by impassable mountains. The waters of the Vale are rumored to have mystical powers… which has drawn the attention of ancient enemies and power-hungry factions in the Alliance and Horde. What secrets exist under this mystical source of power?

It is the resting area for both the horde and the alliance, as we can also find the daily ones of the Golden lotus and The lorewalkers. The zones of both factions are very elaborate - Blizzard said they wanted Dalaran to look simple in comparison and they succeeded! The zones of both factions have the needs of the main capitals, and also with signs to introduce the players of level 90 to the different factions of Pandarian and the scenes.

Mists of Pandaria features a unique area that is unlike anything World of Warcraft has seen to date. Vale of Eternal Blossoms is a max-level zone that will offer players a random series of challenging missions each day. To explain this new kind of experience and the story behind it, we have here Craig Amai, Mission Designer.

Veil of Eternal Blossoms 1

Veil of Eternal Blossoms 2

Q: What's in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms? What is the story about here?

R. The Vale of Eternal Blossoms was the residence of the empire can in ancient times. When the mogu were overthrown by the Pandaren, the capital moved east, until The Jade Forest, and the gates of the Valley were closed to the outside world. Within the valley, a small group of jealously selected caretakers, known as the Golden lotus, guarded the valley, keeping it pristine and safe, with the occasional help of the shadow-pan.

In more recent times, members of the Golden Lotus have grown increasingly restless after detecting mogu scouts who had somehow breached the gates. They need the help of the Shado-Pan again, and perhaps new outsiders as well, provided they are worthy of such a privilege. Any adventurer who can help the Golden Lotus will quickly discover that the mogu plan more than simply surveying the valley's terrain, and that their plan involves the return of the most feared of all mogu, the terrifying Thunder King himself.

Q: The valley is a beautiful setting! Can you describe three of your favorite places in the area?

R: One of my favorite places here is the Autumn Mist Village, a small town founded in the south by refugees from Kun Lai. The funny thing is that it is not so much the natural state of this site that is so attractive to me, but the spectacular way in which the village changes due to current events in the area. On normal days, the village is inhabited by merchants, cooks, construction workers, and bar patrons, and the most daring players will find only the mild thrill of hunting tasks in the nearby forests or the tasks of containing quarrelsome spirits. in the graveyard next door. Other days, nearby forest goblins run around the village causing trouble, sometimes stealing barrels of the town's famous beer and making a mess on the local hill, or becoming even more dangerous by overturning braziers, which can cause fires. near the newly built cabins. And what is even worse, there are days when Shao-Tien mogu They storm the town, corner all the villagers in the inn, and set all the huts on fire as their powerful leader tries to access the hidden tomb behind the town. This great variety in daily chores makes the Autumnal Mist Village always new and interesting to me. Even knowing all the possibilities, every time I go to the village I feel the emotion of discovering what the latest events will be.

Another site that is among my favorites in the Valley of Eternal Blossoms is the Gate of the Setting Sun, the main access to the Dragon's Spine, a gigantic wall that protects the valley from the dangers of the Dread Wastes, to the west. The Puerta del Sol Poniente is always harassed by forces mantid, with their siege engines pounding the main gates, their catapults bombarding the outer wall, and the flying mantids attacking the defenders of the wall. The intensity of the battle here is huge and varied, and the instruments that the Shado-Pan defenders use are also very diverse. When players prove worthy to be called to defend the gate, they can do things like repel the mantid that perch atop the wall, throw boiling oil at the mantid below, use the turrets on the giant towers of the gate. Gate to mow down swarms of flying mantid, ride a war dragon to drop bombs on mantid siege ground forces, and battle a hulking amber scorpion excavating the inner courtyard. Whatever the defensive tactic of the day, I always find the Gate of the Setting Sun plunging me into the virulent conflict between the mantid and the Shado-Pan in exciting ways.

But my favorite place in the valley is by far the Guo-Lai Halls. Upon arrival, players discover what appears to be an ancient burial chamber surrounded by a series of large closed doors. As their experience in the valley evolves, they gain access to the areas beyond these gates one by one, discovering a series of ancient mogu halls and chambers that hold many of the valley's secrets, but also contain countless dangerous traps. Among these traps are a seemingly limitless number of stone statues of the Quilen and Mogu, immortalized in a wide variety of poses. Some of these statues remain dormant, while others will come to life in defense of the rooms, but guessing which ones and when will attack is next to impossible, as they may ignore the pair of adventurers ahead of you and then attack the stragglers by surprise. One of my favorite plots awaits in the Tiled room, where a long room filled with different types of slabs seems to mysteriously change its design daily. To get to the other end of this room and to the cameras beyond, players must discover each day which slab is safe and move forward without taking a wrong step, all at the risk of the statues that stand guard on the sides. Much of the history of the mogu threat takes place in the Halls of Guo-Lai, as do many of the more dangerous challenges in the valley, making it without a doubt my favorite place in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms.

Q: Do players have to wait for level 90 to enter the zone?

R: Absolutely. Starting at level 87, players can undertake a series of challenges in the White Tiger Temple that will allow them to enter the valley. The Alliance and the Horde will set up embassies that will function as the main city in Pandaria, so players will spend a lot of time here. Of course, they will not call the characters to help the defense of the valley until they reach level 90.

Shrine of Two Moons - Horde

Q: And how will the players defend the valley?

R: The Vale of Eternal Blossoms basically depends on a single faction, The Golden Lotus, safeguards the place. The Golden Lotus has long been peaceful, hardly needing to fight in its hermetic valley, but when conflict strikes, they will seek the help of the nearby Shado-Pan. Although players will work for The Golden Lotus for as long as they are here, they will fight alongside various Shado-Pan heroes, assist them in the setting sun training ground and they will join them in the defenses of the Dragon's Spine.

By working for The Golden Lotus, players will be able to participate in more than 100 daily quests within the valley, which is by far the highest number of quests for a single faction in the game. Part of the reason that the valley contains such a huge daily number is that we can use randomness to create an experience that is different from each day before. Each day, after helping the Golden Lotus faction fend off the mogu attacks near the center of the Valley, players can be sent to random locations, each with its random missions, and each mission environment with random variations in what regarding monsters, defenders, traps and other characteristics of the area.

To make this even more varied, there is a mogu attack force in the valley that travels to several different locations each day, so that players may find that the peaceful village is now being attacked by the mogu, or that the usually spider-infested ruins have been turned into a mogu settlement, completely changing the experience of that day. We also want to make sure that players always end the day intensely, so that regardless of how reputable players are or where in the valley they are sent to, they end the day facing one of over 20 unique bosses created exclusively. for this area.

And to top it all off, to make this all have an even bigger impact and be more memorable, we've put a lot of effort into presenting an engaging story that unfolds as players progress through the Golden Lotus faction culminating in a huge war that breaks out in the middle of the valley.

Vale of Eternal Blossoms will be a totally unique daily experience for players, with a far more intense use of randomness and progression than ever before to create one of the most extensive and engaging outdoor experiences of the finals phase.

Settlements of the Golden Lotus

The Golden lotus is a faction of the Valley dedicated to protecting the Pandaren from the Mogu. As you gain reputation with them, the more you will delve into the history that surrounds this faction.
