Aloha! SPOILER ALERT !!! Brief explanation of how to unlock the new traits of our artifact weapons in patch 7.2.
Unlocking New Artifact Traits - Patch 7.2
To unlock the new traits of your weapon you must do a special chain of missions and that your artifact weapon has at least 35 unlocked traits. In total there will be 7 quest items with 7 different quest chains: 1 for tanks, 2 for healers, and 4 for DPS. All quest items drop randomly. It seems that its drop is quite high so we will not suffer much to have the new traits.
Another thing to keep in mind is that in each class none of the quest chains will be repeated between their specializations but obviously they are shared with other specializations of the other classes. For example: if you are rogue you will have different quest chains for Assassination-Outlaw-Subtlety but one of them will share the same chain as a Fury Warrior.
- Infiltration plans: (Tanks Only) Warrior, Paladin, Death Knight, Monk, Druid, and Demon Hunter.
- "Ancient" Elven War Orders: (Healers only) Paladin, Priest, Shaman, Monk and Druid.
- Gold parchment case: Mage, Paladin, Rogue, Shaman and Warlock.
- Damaged Kirin Tor Insignia: Warrior, Rogue, Death Knight, Shaman, Mage and Druid.
- Vile Infused Totem Shard: Hunter, Priest, Warlock, Monk.
- Thief instructions: Warrior, Hunter, Rogue, Death Knight and Demon Hunter.
- Depleted Nether Crystal: Hunter, Priest, Wizard, Warlock and Druid.

Some missions are incomplete or undefined due to their recent addition to PTRs. More content will be added as testing progresses.
This quest chain is an example to show, it belongs to the Improvement Shaman.

To complete this mission, your artifact weapon must have at least 35 traits unlocked.

Talk to yngvild the watcher. She will tell you that a vrykul recently settled on the outskirts of the city.
The Reluctant Queen
Meet with the daughter of Skovald, sigrin, to have discover everything that happened to her, Odyn and her family.
Get together sigrin, Daughter of Skovald, and join her when you request an audience with Eyir. Odyn ordered her mother's murder, causing both her brother and mother to infuse themselves with fel and turn into demons.
Join with sigrin and help her in the assault until you meet Eyir.
To Silence the Bonespeakers
It helps to sigrin to reclaim his throne, but there will be two rivals: Runeseer Faljar of the Bone Speakers and Jarl velbrand of the Drekirjar.
To Tame the Drekirjar
Defeat Jarl Velbrand of the Drekirjar in Hrydshal.
The ForgottenHeir
sigrin discovers that his brother is still alive. Look for Torvald in Vrekt and defeat his brother.
Unanswered Questions
"My brother's words still haunt me, although if Eyir knows who ordered my family killed, I deserve to know."
sigrin discovers that Odyn ordered the murder of his mother, fearing that the heirs of Skovald offered the Mareskorn to the Legion. Odyn decreed that Skovald's line should end… in blood.
The Gates Are Closed
sigrin he succumbs to the fel and wants to face Odyn to avenge his mother, but will close the Gates of Valor when he realizes his assault. You will have to go to Dalaran and get the help of Khadgar.
Upon completion of this mission, the Council of Six will empower your weapons and obtain the new traits. Congratulations!
