Aloha! Blizzard has announced that it will be offering free BattleTag name changes to all players.

Overwatch is already falling, so if you don't like your BattleTag name now you can change it so that you are more comfortable with your new nickname. It is not mandatory and if you do not want to use it now you can do it later.
All those who want to change their BattleTag have to go to account management in the Battlenet launcher or on the website itself, account details (the list on the left) and in the BattleTag section click on change. The change will be visible to your entire list of friends and other Battlenet players.

As we prepare for Overwatch's launch next week, we've updated the free BattleTag switch for all Battle.net accounts. We've frequently seen various requests to update your BattleTags, and as we enter a new universe full of soldiers, scientists, adventurers, and more, it's important that you have a name or nickname to represent you!
What do you like your current name? No problem! You can keep it without doing anything. What do you want to change it? Visit your Account Management Panel, and click the Change link, under Account Details, to the right of your current BattleTag. Players on your Battle.net, Heroes of the Storm, and Overwatch friends list will see the change the instant you do it.
In addition to this update, we often receive requests and suggestions for an option to be able to change the BattleTag more frequently. We are exploring the possibilities and we will let you know any news. Stay tuned to our pages and forums for any updates in this regard.
