Demon Hunter - New World of Warcraft Legion class

Demon Hunter

Disciples of Illidan Stormrage, the demon hunters carry a dark legacy that terrifies allies and foes alike. The Illidari draw on fel magic and chaotic magic, energies that have threatened Azeroth for eons and are believed to be essential in dealing with the Burning Legion. With the powers of the demons they have slain, the Illidari develop demonic traits that cause repulsion and fear among their fellow elves.

Key features

The Demon Hunter is totally faithful to the style of Illidan Stormrage both in the physical aspect and in the style of combat. Although you can also create a different Demon Hunter since the customization options will be much broader and will include variations in the appearance going from a fairly normal and ordinary appearance to really demonic aspects. It will be possible customize horns (or delete them), change tattoos y customize your colors. In addition, tattoos can be seen when wearing specific Demon Hunter armor.

To gain maximum agility and speed in combat in order to get close to their prey and eliminate them quickly, they sacrifice their armor and with it their defensive capacity. To compensate, they use their agility to defend themselves, evading attacks with incredible dexterity.

The Demon Hunter can equip armor of Fabric y Leather. You can also use all kinds of 1-handed weapons including; daggers, fist weapons, 1 hand swords, 1-handed axes y 1 hand maces. In addition, a new type of weapon will be incorporated in the Wolrd of Warcraft Legion, the Glaives, which the Demon Hunter can use.

Your main resource for combat will be called Furia, similar to an energy bar. May exercise 2 roles for combat; Melee DPS y Tank.

The Demon Hunter will be a hero class available only for Night elves and in the Blood elves. As it is a hero class, it will start with a higher level. Its starting level is not yet decided but it will be between level 95 and 100.

The starting zone for the Demon Hunter will be Vault of the Wardens (Chambers of the Guardians). We will start 10 years ago when the events of the Black Temple unfolded. As part of the Illidari, Illidan will entrust us with a mission crucial to the world of Mar 'duun.

Its 3 main characteristics that differentiate it from the rest of the classes are:

Spectral Vision

All demon hunters undergo a ritual in which they go blind and in return gain spectral vision that allows them to detect their prey in a superhuman way.

Don't be fooled by the bandages and other clothing they wear on their eyes due to their blindness. Demon Hunters have a highly developed perception thanks to their demonic powers that allow them to detect their enemies even if they are stealthy, camouflaged or hidden behind obstacles.

Unmatched Mobility

Demon Hunters have superhuman mobility resulting from the elves' agility and their physical empowerment by the Legion's bestowed powers. Thanks to this mixture they are able to perform double jumps, launch quickly towards enemies, retreat quickly, and even stalk their enemies from the air thanks to their terrifying wings and surprise them with an aerial entrance.

Metamorphosis

Demon Hunters are capable of transforming into truly terrifying infernal beings to enhance their characteristics and specialization. The Illidari, specialized in inflicting damage, will boost their speed and their damage to quickly eliminate all their enemies. Instead, those specialized in a defensive role will turn into a demonic creature that borders on immortality.

Specializations

The Demon Hunter will have 2 specializations, something quite unusual since all WoW classes have 3.

Chaos

It is the specialization focused on role of Melee DPS. The talents and abilities that he will have are not yet public, the only thing we can advance is that he will use melee attacks powered by chaotic energy that will allow him to annihilate all his enemies, inflicting physical and magic damage.

Revenge

It is the specialization focused on Tank role. There is not much information about it yet. We can speculate that he will use leather armor and his style will be a mix of evasive abilities and magical abilities. It seems that with the Demon Hunter's Metamorphosis ability we can adopt a very resistant and powerful demonic form to withstand the attacks of our most powerful enemies.

Known skills

During the presentation of the new World of Warcraft Legion expansion at gamescom 2015, they showed us some of the abilities that the demon hunter will have. At first glance they look very interesting:

• Fel rush: Instant.
  • Dash forward, dealing fire damage to all enemies in your path.

• Chaos Strike: Consumes 40 Fury. Melee range. Snapshot. Requires melee weapon.
  • A brutal attack that hits all enemies in front of you dealing Chaos damage.

• Chaos nova: Consumes 30 Fury. Snapshot. 1 minute cooldown.
  • Causes an eruption of fel energy, stunning all nearby enemies for 5 seconds and dealing Chaos damage.

• Eye beam: Consumes 25 Fury. Channelled. 40 meter range. 12 second cooldown.
  • Explodes the target and enemies near the target, dealing fire damage over time.

• Spectral Sight: Snapshot. 2 minute cooldown.
  • Allows you to see enemies while ignoring physical obstacles, stealth, and invisibility.

• Vengeful Retreat: Snapshot. 24 second cooldown.
  • Jump back avoiding the next attack or spell thrown at you.
